Pesticide-Hating Doctrine & Science-Denying Fanatжcism

~

In the 9|11 era of irrational extremists, the turf industry has faced a pesticide-hating doctrine & science-denying fanatжcism, with terrжr that never ends & carnage that leads to catastrophic prohibition against no-risk conventional pest control products

Anti-pesticide prohibition unleashed a catastrophic carnage of unemployment, bankruptcy, & business failure   ―   prohibition destroyed the professional lawn care industry

Prohibiting conventional products has inflicted catastrophic ecological carnage of urban landscapes, where playing surfaces become garbage dumps over-run with uncontrolled invasive weeds & destructive insects   ―   pesticide bans have never made our green spaces look so #@!!% ugly

Green alternative pesticides are responsible for the catastrophic ecological carnage of urban landscapes   ―   organic pesticide-free maintenance has been a failure because it is medieval & ineffective.

After the imposition of prohibitions, municipalities & residents endure catastrophic financial carnage in the form of stunningly exorbitant costs of maintenance   ―   who can afford this #@!!% ban nonsense ?!?!

Irrational pesticide-hating extremists have been despicably exploiting children as weapons of coercion in order to manipulate the public on the supposed necessity of prohibition, when, in fact, the use of no-risk conventional products would actually prevent children from falling & hurting themselves on playing surfaces   ―   kids are at high risk because dangerous playing surfaces are created by #@!!% pesticide bans.

The owners, employees, & families dependent on professional lawn care businesses have been vulnerable to the pure pesticide-hatred of extremists since the 1980s.

And all others in the turf industry, including golf, are considered just as vulnerable   ―   there are critical issues that must be addressed by the golf industry.

And now golf courses too are facing pesticide-hating terrжr that never ends

Nevertheless, the turf industry has been striking back & taking action against extremists.

The turf industry has scored tremendous victories against irrational pesticide-hating extremists while establishing real trends against pesticide bans.

Failures Of Pesticide-Hating Bans

~

There are continental trends ( i.e. throughout North America ) against the conspiracy to impose harmful-prohibitions against no-risk conventional pest control products needed to protect the urban landscape.

The failures of pesticide-hating bans are not only part of trends, but they also represent victories against these prohibitions.

Prohibitions will be failures since it is impossible to keep turfgrass surfaces well-maintained, safe, & attractive without conventional products.

Without these products, playing surfaces will be destroyed quickly   ―   they become thin & yellow, invaded by weeds & infested with insects.

As a consequence of the failures of pesticide-hating bans, many jurisdictions have

Defeated prohibitions      Discarded prohibitions      Ended prohibitions      Rescinded prohibitions      Reversed prohibitions      or Stopped prohibitions.

Failures To Invoke Total Pesticide-Hating Bans

~

All prohibitions are pesticide-hating bans that can never be based upon science.

They are based upon pure pesticide-hatred by irrational pesticide-hating extremists.

If prohibitions were based upon science, then there would nothing but total bans.

However, there are nothing but failures when attempts are made to invoke total bans

The failures to invoke total pesticide-hating bans represent victories against the conspiracy to impose harmful-prohibitions against no-risk conventional pest control products needed to protect the urban landscape.

The failures to invoke total bans will inevitably lead to more limited prohibitions.

Limited prohibitions are viewed as stepping-stones towards total bans.

Contradictory Prohibitions

~

Overall, there are no successful total bans, only contradictory ones.

Contradictory prohibitions are contradictory by nature since there is always a failure to justify bans that are based upon pure pesticide-hatred.

Their imposition implies that that certain pesticide uses are somehow safer than others, a notion that cannot defended by science.

Nonetheless, even contradictory prohibitions represent victories, of sorts, against the conspiracy to impose harmful-prohibitions.

Failures To Justify Pesticide-Hating Bans

~

Government officials will always fail to justify pesticide-hating bans because their motivation is pure pesticide-hatred.

In the long term, these officials will fail to get main-stream support for their pesticide-hating bans.

The best they can do is impose contradictory prohibitions.

While imposing their contradictory prohibitions   —   banning some pesticide uses but not others through arbitrary exceptions   —   officials cannot stop the public from realizing that deliberate mis-information & propaganda will be concocted about the imaginary danger of conventional pest control products.

This explains why officials fail to justify pesticide-hating bans which represent victories, of sorts, against the conspiracy to impose harmful-prohibitions.

Partial Prohibitions On Municipal-Owned Properties Only

~

The simplest contradictory prohibitions are those that are partial & self-imposed on municipal-owned properties only.

Partial prohibitions will not be imposed on any other type of turfgrass locations, such as home lawns.

Partial prohibitions will not adversely affect lawn care businesses, & represent victories, of sorts, against the conspiracy to impose harmful-prohibitions.

Limited Prohibitions

~

The failure to invoke total bans will inevitably lead to more limited prohibitions, which will be considered as victories, of sorts, against the conspiracy to impose harmful-prohibitions.

The more complex contradictory prohibitions are those that are limited to one specific type of turfgrass or hard surface & / or one specific type of business      ex :  residential home lawns & / or professional lawn care businesses, which represent less than 2 per cent of all pesticide use.

Limited prohibitions are discriminatory & unfair since they will rely heavily upon arbitrary exceptions.

Arbitrary exceptions have represented the best examples of the failures & the ridiculousness of the limited prohibitions against conventional pest control products used to protect the urban landscape.

A government will allow conventional pest control applications whenever it arbitrarily suits its officials.

~

Arbitrary Exceptions

~

Arbitrary exceptions have represented the best examples of the failures & the ridiculousness of anti-pesticide prohibition.

While concocting their arbitrary exceptions   —   prohibiting some uses but not others   —   officials cannot stop the public from realizing that a large quantity of deliberate mis-information & propaganda has been spread about the imaginary danger of conventional pest control products.

When prohibitions allow arbitrary exceptions, they will be considered as victories, of sorts, against the conspiracy to impose harmful-prohibitions.

These arbitrary exceptions have been conveniently incorporated into by-laws & regulations in order to allow government officials to circumvent their own prohibitions.

Most of the time, arbitrary exceptions are necessary for invasive weeds & destructive insects that must be controlled every single year in order to protect the urban environment.

There should not be any #@!!% arbitrary exceptions whatsoever !

Exceptions will allow elected-officials to use conventional pest control applications whenever it arbitrarily suits their needs.

Arbitrary exceptions have allowed thousands & thousands of inconsistent & unfair pesticide applications, for many reasons & excuses, including those examples of arbitrary exceptions listed below

  ~

Predatory-Permits

~

In some jurisdictions, these arbitrary exceptions have even allowed the sale of predatory-permits, which will be considered as victories, of sorts, against the conspiracy to impose harmful-prohibitions.

Predatory-permits grants municipalities the power to legally extort untold thousands of dollars in unjustified profits.

There should not be any #@!!% predatory-permits whatsoever !

Justifying Pesticides & Protecting The Public

~

Health Canada ensures victories against the conspiracy to impose harmful-prohibitions against no-risk conventional pest control products needed to protect the urban landscape.

Health Canada has stated that it is confident that the pest control products that it approves for use in Canada can be used safely when label directions are followed.

Incident Reports are monitored by Health Canada to identify any potential risks to health or the environment from the use of pest control products & to take corrective actions when necessary.

The more serious individual Incident Reports may lead to an official evaluation & action.

Health Canada helps protect the public by researching, assessing, & collaborating in the management of the health risks & safety hazards associated with the many consumer products that are used every day.

It employs over 350 doctorate-level experts & leading scientific experts on pest control products.

Health Canada, & not the irrational pesticide-hating extremists, has the essential expertise & ultimate credibility on pest control products.

Health Canada approves the instruction & safety precautions that appear on the Approved Pesticide Product Labels, which are designed to protect human health & the environment.

Human health is not at risk from pest control products because of Re-Entry Intervals established by Health Canada.

Re-Entry Intervals are necessary to ensure that any pest control product residues on the treated turfgrass surfaces do not pose an unacceptable risk to human health.

These intervals reflect the amount of time required for no-risk pest control product levels to dissipate to a level that is well below any point of concern.

Typically, for all pest control products used for lawn care maintenance, the Approved Pesticide Product Labels state      « keep people off treated area until foliage is dry ».

Finally, given that cancer is the number 2 leading cause of death, there is a good chance that you are going to die of cancer no matter what you do.

By contrast, no-risk pest control products are nowhere near a leading cause of cancer-death, & there is no chance that they will make you die of cancer.

Pesticides causing cancer is a myth.

So chill-out & have a drink, & forget about prohibiting no-risk pest control products.

Continental Trends & More  –  Short List Of Examples

~

There are continental trends ( i.e. throughout North America ) against the conspiracy to impose prohibitions & regulations against no-risk pest control products that are need to protect the urban landscape.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to keep turfgrass surfaces well-maintained, safe, & attractive without conventional pest control products.

Without these products, playing surfaces will be destroyed quickly   ―   they become thin & yellow, invaded by weeds & infested with insects.

Since officials will fail to get main-stream support for their pesticide-hating bans, there are continental trends against their conspiracy to impose prohibition.

There are over 70 jurisdictions that have stopped or rescinded or limited or have begun to repeal their harmful-prohibitions, or have granted commercial businesses with an exception status, or have provided thousands & thousands of exceptions.

These continental trends may also include contradictory prohibitions, which still represent victories, of sorts, because of their inherent failure to invoke total pesticide-hating bans.

The victories below demonstrate the continental trends against the conspiracy of pesticide-hating prohibitions.

Failure To Justify Pesticide-Hating Ban

Proposed Provincial Prohibition Stopped
~
See below

Summary

VICTORY      Alberta will not ban pesticides.

No provincial prohibition will be imposed against pest control products in Alberta.

Alberta officials stopped a proposed pesticide ban & stated that the province would not create a ban that conflicted with the federal government.

The only people who demand prohibition are a small group of irrational pesticide-hating extremists with vested interests in concocting imaginary danger against pest control products.

These irrational pesticide-hating extremists include      Ian Arnold, Nadine Bachand, Warren Bell, Alison Scott Butler, Raquel Feroe, Kim Jarvi, Sheryl McCumsey, Carol Mee, Kim Perrotta, Margaret Sanborn, Meg Sears, Rich Whate, Jean Zigby, & others.

This small group of fanatжcs are wrong on so many levels.

These fanatжcs are pushing for reckless & arbitrary prohibition without any justification.

Albertans need to know that these fanatжcs do not know what they are talking about.

Albertans also need to know that, outside of Alberta, most Canadians do not want prohibition.

Altona’s Municipal Government Has Opposed
Manitoba’s Provincial Prohibition
~

Summary

VICTORY      Altona will not ban pesticides.

Altona’s mayor strongly & publicly opposed the  provincial prohibition.

The municipal mayor strongly & publicly opposed the proposal for a provincial prohibition.

Altona is a predominantly Mennonite town.

With the mayor’s refusal to support Manitoba’s pesticide-hating ban, any proposed prohibition in Altona itself will most surely fail.

Failure To Justify Pesticide-Hating Ban
~
Proposed Partial Prohibition Against County-
Owned Playgrounds Rejected By Council
~
See below

Summary

VICTORY      Anne Arundel has resumed using conventional pesticides.

Council rejected legislation that would have prohibited against the use of conventional pest control products on county-owned playgrounds.

Council members voted against Bill 76-16, legislation which sought to self-impose prohibition against the county’s Recreation & Parks Department.

For the control invasive weed pests & destructive insect pests, the proposed prohibition would have only allowed inferior & ineffective green alternative pesticides   ―   conventional & effective pest control products would have been prohibited.

Anne Arundel will allow conventional pest control applications whenever it arbitrarily suits government officials.

The harmful-prohibition was proposed after complaints, coercion, & intimidation from irrational pesticide-hating extremist-parents who were mock-concerned about children & pest control applications in parks.

Should irrational extremist-parents be allowed to raise children ?!?!

Children are at risk from dangerous pest-infested playing surfaces which are created by #@!!% pesticide bans !

No one wants this #@!!% dangerous ban nonsense that places children at risk !

Key Points

Victory

Failure Of Pesticide-Hating Ban
~
Existing Municipal Prohibition Rescinded
~
Parks Staff Gave Up On Ineffective
& Inferior Alternative Pesticides
~
See below

Summary

VICTORY      Ashland has resumed using conventional pesticides.

Parks commissioners unanimously rescinded the existing the existing municipal prohibition.

They also re-authorized no-risk conventional pest control products on baseball & softball infields.

Commissioners also unanimously rescinded early sign-posting.

Ashland allowed conventional pest control applications whenever it arbitrarily suited these commissioners.

Parks department staff reported that green alternative pesticides & practices proved largely ineffective & stunningly expensive for controlling weeds.

Glyphosate had cost just over 300-dollars before its prohibition, but an green alternative was nearly 10,000-dollars.

Parks staff tried to burn weeds along concrete & asphalt with propane torches, but that was also not effective.

And volunteer manual weed-pickers were also ineffective.

Weeds had taken over the dirt areas of the infields, creating an uneven & unsafe surface, presenting a liability issue for the parks department.

Organic pesticide-free maintenance with alternatives was a dismal failure.

Victory Against Prohibition

Beaumont, City of,
Province of Alberta

Key Points

Victory
~

Failure To Justify Pesticide-Hating Ban
~
Proposed Municipal Prohibition Stopped
~
See below

Summary

VICTORY      Beaumont will not ban pesticides.

Officials voted-off & stopped a proposal for prohibition because they believed that this was a provincial initiative, if not federal.

A motion to not move forward with prohibition was carried unanimously.

According to city councillor Louise White-Gibbs      «  We’ve heard so much discussion on this, & I think it’s time to put an end to this for now.  This must be a provincial initiative, if not federal.  Doing it at the municipal level, there is absolutely no way that we can enforce it  » .

According to Landscape Alberta Nursery Trades Association in a presentation to the Beaumont town council       «  There is no justifiable reason to ban or restrict the use of any pest control products in the town of Beaumont  » .

At the provincial level, the government of Alberta has stated that it strongly supports using science-based evidence, & will not create restrictions or laws that conflict with Health Canada, the federal agency relied upon for health & safety assessments.

Attempts to subvert the town council were made by hired-guns from Canadian Cancer Society ( CCS ), an anti-pesticide extremist-organization that is subversive, contemptible, & radical.

According to a CCS-hired-gun      «  There is already a growing body of evidence linking pesticides to cancer  » .  [ WRONG ! ]

There are no hired-guns at Canadian Cancer Society who are scientists or researchers with credentials in the field of pest control products.

None !

These hired-guns are not competent to talk about pest control products.

They are irrational pesticide-hating extremists.

Moreover, Canadian Cancer Society is a fund-raising organization & not a scientific & not a research organization.

According to the radical & contemptible Canadian Cancer Society ( CCS ), there is evidence  [ ?!?! ]  of a link between pesticides & several types of cancer.

This contradicts Health Canada scientists who perform thorough science-based risk assessments on all pest control products to ensure that they can be used safely.

This also contradicts Canadian Cancer Society’s own web-sites that have stated repeatedly that scientific research does not provide a conclusive link between pest control products & cancer.

There is not one known cancer death from the proper use of pest control products used in the urban landscape.

Nonetheless, given that cancer is the number 2 leading cause of death, there is a good chance that you are going to die of cancer no matter what you do.

By contrast, pest control products are nowhere near a leading cause of cancer-death, & there is no chance that they will make you die of cancer.

Pesticides causing cancer is a myth.

So chill-out & have a drink, & forget about prohibiting pest control products.

Summary

VICTORY      Belleville will not ban pesticides.

A proposed municipal prohibition was stopped because council believed that the provincial & federal governments should be in a much better position to establish more effective & enforceable legislation.

Every kind of green alternative pesticide had been tried, & they were all ineffective.

The use of alternatives brought on by prohibition was a dismal failure.

Failure Of Pesticide-Hating Ban
~
Existing Municipal Prohibition Reversed
~
Roundup Herbicide Re-Introduced
~
See below

Summary

VICTORY      Boulder has resumed using conventional pesticides.

Boulder reversed its existing municipal prohibition.

Because of the failure of prohibition at the city of Boulder, its maintenance program went from a 15,000-dollars per year to a staggering 300,000-dollars+ per year, under Chip-Charles Osborne, the incompetent consultant & pesticide-hating extremist.

One year later, Boulder re-introduced no-risk herbicides like Roundup.

Boulder would allow conventional pest control applications whenever it arbitrarily suited its government officials.

In the nearby town of Durango, city councillors had listened to a three-hour debate with irrational pesticide-hating extremists involving fake-science & calls for decisive action to supposedly save the environment.

They had been persuaded to impose prohibition against the use of pest control products in the urban landscape.

Cathy Metz, Durango’s director of parks & recreation, noted the abundance of weeds in Boulder parks when relying on so-called organic pesticide-free maintenance.

According to Metz       «  I don’t think Boulder is the example we want to follow.  They get complaints every year about dandelions  » .

Boulder has become internationally-recognized for the poor condition of its urban green spaces   ―   they are garbage dumps.

Fortunately, pest control products are not only effective, but also, they are scientifically-safe, will cause no harm, are no threat to children   ―   & low-cost.

Because the pesticide-free maintenance of Boulder green spaces was such a dismal failure, municipal government officials tried to encourage the public to somehow appreciate dandelions.

These officials were not competent to manage Boulder’s green spaces.

Brazil’s Health Agency Has Reported That Glyphosate
Does Not Pose A Hazard To The Average Person

Summary

VICTORY      Brazil will not ban glyphosate.

Glyphosate has been vindicated in Brazil.

Anvisa, Brazil’s science-based national regulatory agency, stated that glyphosate does not pose a hazard to the average person.

This is completely in line with the world-wide scientific consensus that glyphosate will cause no harm to human health & the environment.

Additionally, a Brazilian court over-turned an injunction prohibiting products containing glyphosate.

Clearly, there will be no prohibition against no-risk glyphosate in Brazil.

This country is the world’s fifth-largest country by area & the fifth most populous.

It is the world’s largest exporter of soybeans & relies heavily on glyphosate products.

Prohibition against glyphosate was not necessary.

Summary

VICTORY      BC will not ban pesticides.

VICTORY      BC’s Special Committee On Cosmetic Pesticides announced that it would not recommend a prohibition at the provincial level, & the proposal was stopped.

VICTORY      Consequently, British Columbia imposed a limited provincial prohibition   ―   no prohibition for licensed / certified applicators, who have been granted with an exception status, such as those who work on golf courses & at lawn care businesses.

According to environment minister Terry Lake       «  What we think of as cosmetic pesticides will only be used by someone who is certified, who is licensed to be able to use them  » .

In fact, the rule change does not apply to the agriculture industry, forestry, golf courses, & industrial land.

Municipalities & First Nations can opt out.

Nonetheless, prohibitions at the municipal level have continued to be imposed, with the consequence that professional lawn care businesses have been extensively damaged & stagnating.

As a direct result of harmful-prohibition, these businesses lost over 40 per cent of their customers.

Prohibitions took away all their gains made in the previous ten years, & made it difficult, if not impossible, to recover.

Prohibition has led to horrendous & catastrophic carnage, in the form of immense losses of revenues, business failures, bankruptcy, & unemployment.

Prohibition forced businesses to adopt organic pesticide-free maintenance, which led to catastrophic ecological carnage, with thousands & thousands of ravaged & destroyed lawns because of uncontrolled pests.

Summary

CONCLUSION   —   There should be no prohibitions in BC.

CONCLUSION   —   BC’s prohibitions against conventional pest control products have been reckless, arbitrary, & doomed-to-fail.

Prohibitions are politically-correct rubbish.

The public needs to know more about prohibition failures.

For example, a major study has concluded that BCs municipalities have been circumventing their own limited prohibitions by taking advantage of exception statuses that they have conveniently inserted in their by-laws.

Municipal prohibitions are limited since they have provided inconsistent & unfair exception statuses for invasive weeds & destructive insects   ―   for city-owned properties only   ―   but certainly not for lawn care businesses & home lawns.

Without conventional pest control products, home properties have become pest-infested & dangerous garbage dumps because it is impossible to control invasive weeds & destructive insects by using so-called green alternative pesticides like Fiesta.

In order to be consistent & fair, there should be no exceptions whatsoever, either in British Columbia or anywhere else In North America.

Additionally, prohibitions have annihilated legitimate & tax-paying businesses that operate in the professional lawn care industry.

These businesses cannot afford the hardship & the cost of prohibitions.

In particular, they cannot afford the stunningly exorbitant costs of inferior green alternative pesticides like Fiesta herbicide.

Once any prohibition is adopted, local lawn care businesses are expected to disappear into oblivion within 2 or 3 years, & vast numbers of professional workers are expected to become unemployed.

Additionally, for those residents with the same pest problems on their home properties, they may be shжt-outta-luck relying on any exception from prohibition.

Municipal prohibitions have led to catastrophic ecological carnage for tens of thousands of destroyed & ravaged properties every single year.

By prohibiting conventional pest control products, playing surfaces will become pest-infested & dangerous garbage dumps because it is impossible to control weed invasions & insect infestations by using pesticide-free ( a.k.a. organic ) maintenance practices that include inferior green alternatives like Fiesta.

British Columbia’s municipal exceptions represent the best examples of the failures, the ridiculousness, & the destructiveness of their anti-pesticide prohibitions.

There should be no prohibitions which are simply reckless, arbitrary, & doomed-to-fail.

Summary

VICTORY      Burnaby has allowed conventional pest control applications.

Burnaby’s municipal prohibition has allowed hundreds of inconsistent & unfair exceptions for the use of conventional insecticides on city-owned green spaces, like sports fields, that are infested with European Chafer insects which must be controlled annually.

These below-ground insects are now implanted in the community, forever, & will destroy lawns year after year, forever.

Burnaby has also allowed inconsistent & unfair exceptions for hard-landscapes on city-owned properties, such as asphalt, brick pavers, concrete, gravel, rocks, & treated wood.

Burnaby’s councillors have been allowing pest control applications when it arbitrarily suits them.

The use of inconsistent & unfair exceptions brought on by prohibition has been a dismal failure.

Victory Against Prohibition

Key Points

Victory
~

Failure Of Pesticide-Hating Ban
~
Discarded Existing Partial Prohibition
On Municipal-Owned Properties Only
~
Manual Weed Picking & Green
Alternatives Ineffective
~
See below

Summary

VICTORY      Calgary has resumed using conventional pesticides.

City council steered clear of & stopped an outright total prohibition, since it was proven in other jurisdictions that these bans do not work.

Officials discarded the city’s self-imposed prohibition on its municipal green spaces because of the invasion of uncontrolled noxious weeds that had damaged the urban ecology of local parks & damaged the road infra-structure such as pavement.

Because of prohibition, the city looked like a weed-infested garbage dump.

Under the Alberta Weed Control Act & related regulations, the city of Calgary was obligated to control various weed species.

According to city officials, the only solution to get rid of these weeds was conventional products   ―   green alternatives simply did not work.

It is common knowledge that green alternative products are phony, inferior, ineffective, unaffordable, & will not work.

More pest control products were used because there were not enough people in Calgary to go out & perform manual weed picking by wandering through wet-lands & rip out the weeds.

Full effective weed control could only be attained with no-risk conventional pest control products, such as 2,4-D & other herbicides, which provided a very high per cent control of invasive weeds.

2,4-D has been used for the control of broad-leaved weeds in the urban landscape since 1946.

2,4-D has the astonishing & unblemished safety record regarding long-term risk to health for over 75-years.

2,4-D, in combination with other ingredients, is the only safe & effective choice for weed management in Calgary.

Failure To Justify Golf-Hating Attack

Proposed Sharp Park Golf Course Closure Stopped

Golf Course Has Been Saved After A
Federal Judge Dismissed A Legal Challenge
~
See below

Summary

VICTORY      A San Francisco, California, golf course will not be closed.

Sharp Park Golf Course has been allowed to remain a golf course after a federal judge dismissed a legal challenge from organizations of irrational golf-hating extremists.

This golf facility has been under a siege from irrational golf-hating environmental-extremists under the pretext of somehow protecting obscure & insignificant species like garter snakes & tadpoles.

Nonetheless, golf-hating organizations will continue to attack the golf industry.

These organizations   —   what are they for ?!?!

They exist for one reason & one only   —   & that is to make profit.

They prosper from cash donations, illicit businesses, unqualified employment, & government grants, quite often without paying a single penny in taxes.

Sharp Park Golf Course is / was not harming animal species.

According to US Fish & Wildlife Service, Sharp Park has likely not posed threats to the existence of frogs & snakes on & around the golf course.

As usual, irrational-extremists hate & despise the game of golf.

These extremists want to shut down golf facilities like Sharp Park.

Golf-hating organizations like National Parks Conservation Association & Wild Equity Institute have terrжrized the city of San Francisco for years over the future of Sharp Park Golf Course.

Sharp Park may still be closed because of their relentless & unceasing lies & mis-information.

The habitat that enviro-extremists are trying to allegedly recover was originally created when the golf course was built along with a sea wall, isolating the Laguna Sal from ocean waves.

If the golf course had never been built, there would have been no habitat for the endangered species.

Nevertheless, irrational golf-hating extremists conspire to destroy of the golf industry.

The golf industry should tell these extremists to get off our grASS & roast in hell.

Summary

VICTORY      Campbell River has allowed conventional pest control applications.

City councillors rejected a staff recommendation for prohibition, & the proposal was extinguished.

Campbell River’s doctrine of Integrated Pest Management ( IPM ) was a failed, futile, & ineffective doctrine for the maintenance of turfgrass.

Additionally, a news release from Campbell River stated       «  …  the city expects to apply herbicide twice this year in problem areas, & aims to reduce frequency of the herbicide application in future years  » .

Campbell River has still allowed the use of conventional weed control products in order to make its IPM practices appear to be successful.

Summary

VICTORY      Glyphosate will not be banned in Canada.

The evidence in favour of glyphosate is overwhelming.

Health Canada has found that glyphosate does not present risks of concern to human health or the environment when used according to label directions.

Products containing glyphosate are unlikely to affect human health.

Dietary risks from food & water are not of concern.

Non-occupational risks from by-stander dermal exposure are not of concern.

Glyphosate products are not expected to pose risks of concern to the environment.

The prohibition of glyphosate was not necessary.

Summary

VICTORIES      Charlottetown & Summerside have allowed conventional pest control applications.

They have been selling of predatory-permits that allow the use of conventional pest control applications.

This may be a victory against prohibition, of sorts, since both municipalities have allowed the applications of lawn care pesticides, but only after extorting the purchase of 50-dollar predatory-permits for every single application.

This is in defiance of the fact that the actual cost of the application may be less than the permit itself.

In essence, these loathsome municipalities have despicably conspired to impose prohibition against conventional pest control products unless they profit from the sale of predatory-permits.

Who can afford this #@!!% nonsense ?!?!

There should be no #@!!% predatory-permits in Charlottetown & Summerside.

Extorting profit brought on by prohibition represents a dismal failure.

Failed, Futile, & Ineffective Integrated Pest
Management ( IPM ) & Pesticide Free Doctrines

Summary

VICTORY      Chicago has resumed using conventional pesticides.

The city’s Integrated Pest Management ( IPM ) with pesticide-free doctrine were pronounced as a dismal failures.

This organic pesticide-free maintenance with IPM contributed to the worst playing field conditions the Chicago district had seen in more than a decade.

IPM could be considered as a failed, futile, & ineffective doctrine for the maintenance of turfgrass.

After four years, Chicago cancelled the IPM program & rescinded the harmful-prohibition against no-risk pest control products.

Because of Chicago’s adoption of IPM pesticide-free doctrine, weeds invaded more than 60 per cent of ground coverage.

In the beginning, the Chicago Park District had conspired with irrational pesticide-hating extremists, as well as truth-challenged bee-keepers, to prohibit the use of pest control products needed to protect the urban landscape.

Demands for prohibition were part of a misguided fanatжcal conspiracy to make people’s lives miserable by exposing them to more damaging pest attacks on their properties.

IPM failed & did not control invasive weeds & destructive insects.

Organic pesticide-free maintenance with IPM was a dismal failure.

Of course, Chicago will allow conventional pest control applications whenever it arbitrarily suits government officials.

Summary

VICTORY      Coquitlam has allowed conventional pest control applications.

Temporarily, Coquitlam bucked the green trend among British Columbia municipalities by choosing not even to explore a prohibition, or a restriction, against no-risk pest control products needed to protect the urban landscape.

Later, the cost of prohibition was estimated at one million dollars.

Who can afford a million-dollar prohibition ?!?!

One million dollars.

This is the cost of prohibiting conventional products that are Health-Canada-approved, federally-legal, scientifically-safe, practically-non-toxic, & will cause no harm to human health & the environment.

One million dollars.

This is cost of prohibiting no-risk products to satisfy the lunatжc-cravings of Selina Robinson, an irrational pesticide-hating extremist, elected-official, & therapist.

Was this woman’s coercion, intimidation, screeching, & terrжrizing worth that much money ?!?!

Organic pesticide-free maintenance was a dismal failure.

Rose Garden Granted Exception Status
~
See below

Summary

VICTORY      Coquitlam has allowed conventional pest control applications.

An exception status for protecting rose garden represents a victory of sorts.

Evidently, Coquitlam will allow conventional pest control applications whenever it arbitrarily suits its elected-officials.

In prohibition-stricken jurisdictions, cities like Coquitlam know it is impossible to maintain their rose gardens without the use of no-risk conventional pest control products.

City councillor Bev Welsh had the temerity to ask for an exception status for the Centennial Rose Garden, a local tourist attraction & wedding venue that boasts 800 plants & 60 varieties of roses.

Coquitlam has already imposed a harmful-prohibition against pest control products used in the urban landscape under the pretext that « cosmetic » use of pest control products is not necessary.

Isn’t the maintenance of rose gardens the very definition of « cosmetic » ?

The demise of Coquitlam’s rose gardens will also represent the failure of organic pesticide-free maintenance.

Rose gardens will die, & lawns will be invaded with dandelions.

Coquitlam’s exception has been allowed for city-owned rose gardens, but has not been allowed for any residential rose gardens.

In other words, if diseases or insects are killing roses on private property, residents are shжt-outta-luck !

Moreover, in cities like Windsor, Ontario, where there are no exceptions for protecting roses with pesticides, most of the ornamental rose plantings have been removed, forever.

City workers cannot to take care of roses without conventional pest control products.

Coquitlam’s municipal prohibition has been an unfair & dismal failure.

Failure To Justify Pesticide-Hating Ban

Use Of Vegetation Control Products
In The Town’s Lagoon Area Approved
~
See below

Summary

VICTORY      Deer Lake has allowed conventional pest control applications.

Deer Lake’s town council voted to approve the use of vegetation control products in the town’s lagoon area.

The matter had previously been deferred after irrational pesticide-hating extremist & elected-official Jean Young raised pointless & unscientific fear-mongering about the use of chemicals, in this case herbicides.

The herbicides to be used by Deer Lake are the same used by the federal Department of Environment for vegetation control.

According to Mayor Dean Ball      «  …  This is approved for the work that we’re going to do with it.  We have one issue in the lagoon with the smell.  This is going to help solve that problem  » .

Hard-Landscapes & Pest Infestations

Summary

VICTORY      Delta has allowed conventional pest control applications.

Delta’s municipal prohibition has allowed hundreds of inconsistent & unfair exceptions for vaguely-defined pest infestations ( on city-owned properties only ?!?! ).

Clearly, these exceptions have been designed to allow the use of conventional insecticides on town-owned green spaces, like sports fields that are infested with European Chafer insects which must be controlled annually.

Delta has also allowed inconsistent & unfair exception statuses for hard-landscapes on city-owned properties, such as asphalt, brick pavers, concrete, gravel, rocks, & treated wood.

Delta’s councillors have been allowing pest control applications when it arbitrarily suits them.

The use of inconsistent & unfair exceptions demonstrates that prohibition was a dismal failure.

~
Proposed Municipal Prohibition Stopped
~
Council Rejected Prohibition In 5-0 Vote
~
Elected Officials Were Warned That Prohibition Led To
Garbage Dump Green Spaces In The City Of Boulder
~
See below

Summary

VICTORY      Durango will no longer ban conventional pesticides.

City council voted unanimously to reject & stop a proposed prohibition against no-risk pest control products & synthetic fertilizers on city parks & personal property.

Harmful-prohibition inflicted stunningly exorbitant maintenance costs, which motivated elected-officials to arbitrarily allow safe, effective, & economical conventional pest control applications.

Additionally, Durango has also suffered catastrophic ecological carnage in the form of garbage dump green spaces.

Durango’s municipal government officials attempted to appease irrational pesticide-hating extremists with so-called chemical free parks.

Two city-owned parks, Brookside & Pioneer, were designated as so-called chemical free parks.

The condition of these parks relied upon so-called organic pesticide-free maintenance & non-organic fertilizer.

The chemical free parks were abysmal failures.

These parks were examples of why organic maintenance cannot work on a larger scale without turning the entire city into a gigantic garbage dump.

The so-called chemical-free parks were / are unsightly due to the broad-leaved plantain weeds growing amidst the grass where the children play.

It would be preferable to apply pest control products since they are scientifically-safe, will cause no harm, & are no threat to children.

Organic pesticide-free maintenance is not economically viable without droves of laborers to manually pull unwanted plants.

Can municipalities, like Durango, afford the hardship & cost of this #@!!% pesticide ban nonsense ?!?!

In Durango, green alternative pesticides were phony, inferior, ineffective, unaffordable, & did not work.

The question of prohibition revolved less around health & environment concerns, & more around products & services that were sold at stunningly exorbitant costs.

Organic pesticide-free maintenance with green alternatives was a dismal failure.

Getting Rid Of Inferior Fiesta Green Alternative
Herbicide Proved That Edmonton’s Doomed-To-

Control Products Was A Dismal Failure
~
See below

Summary

VICTORY      Edmonton has resumed using conventional pesticides.

Edmonton’s city councillors turned down & stopped calls to prohibit no-risk conventional pest control products.

Edmonton is a city where the vast majority of residents complain about too many mosquitoes or too many dandelions   —   & not about the use of pest control products that will control them.

City councillors turned down & stopped calls to prohibit no-risk conventional pest control products, opting instead for an eventual report outlining any progress in reducing city use of these chemicals.

The city of Edmonton has concluded that its organic pesticide-free parks have been a total & dismal failure.

Its organic pesticide-free parks, treated with Fiesta alternative herbicide, had become heavily infested with weeds, & looked like garbage dumps.

Predictably, mechanical & other non-chemical methods of weed control had been ineffective, including the use of goats for weed suppression.

Among Edmonton home-owners, there was a large increase in the use of green alternative pesticides.

Not surprisingly, Edmonton reported increased weed growth.

All green alternatives were bogus & dismal failures   —   they were phony, inferior, ineffective, unaffordable, & did not work.

Furthermore, Edmonton officials proposed to convert its garbage dump parks into community gardens or naturalized areas.

Finally, the city announced that it has ceased the use of the inferior-Fiesta green alternative herbicide to control dandelions that have invaded, choked, & destroyed community playing surfaces.

It is common knowledge that green alternative products like Fiesta will not work.

Organic pesticide-free maintenance with mechanical & other non-chemical methods of weed control demonstrate the dismal failure of prohibition.

Observers have concluded that Edmonton will allow conventional pest control applications whenever it arbitrarily suits city councillors.

See below

Summary

VICTORY      Glyphosate will not be banned in the EU.

VICTORY      The EU has vindicated glyphosate.

VICTORY      The majority of EU nations do not want anti-glyphosate prohibition.

VICTORY      The EU voted to extend its re-approval of glyphosate for a period of 5 years.

VICTORY      Europeans have been rejecting Greenpeace’s fear-mongering, & are indicating that the jig is up   ―   the political tide, boosted by evidence, is starting to turn in favour of no-risk glyphosate.

Glyphosate was not approved for the typical 10 or 15-years because the EU review process was driven more by politics than science.

Nonetheless, the EU vindicated glyphosate.

The prohibition of glyphosate was not necessary.

Pesticide Ban Reversed Because Weed
Picking Volunteers Were Ineffective
~

Summary

VICTORY      Everett has resumed using conventional pesticides.

The Lowell Park pesticide-free pilot-project was ended by the city of Everett.

The application of no-risk conventional weed control products was resumed because the city was forced to resort to the back-breaking & agonizing job of manual weed-picking by hand, & could not find enough volunteers.

It was too much work for volunteers to maintain Lowell Park up to city standards.

Resident weed-picking volunteers were mostly elderly & unemployed.

These volunteers were needed because green alternative pesticides were phony, inferior, ineffective, unaffordable, & did not work.

There were no viable, no efficacious, no economical, & no low-risk alternatives to replace conventional herbicides.

Ultimately, organic pesticide-free maintenance with manual weed picking demonstrates the dismal failure of prohibition.

Inconsistent & Unfair Exception Status Granted
For Urban Forests & Public Infra-Structure
~
See below

Summary

VICTORY      Golden has allowed conventional pest control applications.

An exception status has been provided by Golden to      «    address an economic or environmental threat to urban forests  » .

This represents a victory, of sorts.

An exception status has been provided by Golden which demonstrates the elected officials’ contradictions & hypocrisy by implying that pest control products are safe to use on urban forests, & yet, the very same products are somehow deemed unsafe when used on residential properties.

These councillors will allow conventional pest control applications whenever it arbitrarily suits their purposes.

Clearly, this exception status has been designed to allow the use of conventional insecticides on town-owned green spaces, like trees that are infested with Gypsy Moth insects, which must be controlled annually.

The use of inconsistent & unfair exceptions brought on by prohibition was a dismal failure.

Incredibly, more unfair exceptions have been provided to Golden’s town staff for « public infra-structure », which means      «    built structures and amenities on public land including, but not limited to, roads, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, retaining walls, dykes, foundations, outdoor playing surfaces, parking lots, & gathering areas  » .

In other words, Golden’s unfair-prohibition       «    does not apply to the use or application of a pesticide  …  used to protect public infra-structure  » .

Golden’s municipal prohibition with its exceptions was a dismal failure.

Golf Industry’s Pesticide
Ban Exception Status

Key Points

Victory

Failure To Impose Pesticide-Hating Bans

The Trade Associations Must Adopt The Policy
To Plan For The Inevitable & Total Revocation
Of The Golf Industry’s Exception Status In
Most Jurisdictions Across The Nation

~
The Trade Associations Must Ensure There
Will Be Exceptions For Every Industry, In
Order To Be Consistent & Fair To Everyone
Throughout The Turf Industry
~
See below

Summary

VICTORY      Almost universally, the golf industry has been provided with an exception status.

Harmful-prohibitions continue to be extremely biased & highly prejudicial, especially against the professional lawn care industry.

Nonetheless, an exception status may currently include         Agriculture      Cemeteries      Forestry      Fruit & vegetable production      Golf courses      Mosquito control      Nursery production      Orchards      Rose gardens      Sod production      Sports fields      & More.

For example, the government of Ontario has believed that the maintenance standards used by the golf industry require that it be given a pesticide ban exception status.

On the matter of a high performance maintenance standard, the government of Ontario issued the following statement in June 2008   —    «  The MOE  [ Ontario Ministry of the Environment ] recognizes that golf courses require high performance standards for the playing surfaces & require some pesticide use to achieve such standards  » .

The exception to the prohibition on the use of prescribed pesticides on golf courses is conditional upon complying with certain requirements.

The dangerous, hypocritical, & insatiable David Suzuki Foundation has expressed the following hate-speech about the golf industry’s exception status   —    «  If provincial prohibitions exempt golf courses, as proposed in the discussion paper, municipalities need clear authority to restrict pesticide use on golf courses within their boundaries to better protect public health & the environment  [ ?!?! ]  » .

Furthermore, government officials, at every level, may become more aggressive at revoking the golf industry’s exception status once they realize the fact that, according to a study in Manitoba, up to 6 per cent of all conventional pest control products are used for golf course maintenance.

The golf industry needs a lobby group that will resist any revocation of the golf industry’s exception status.

This catastrophe is becoming increasingly probable as large scale national-prohibitions.

The golf industry also needs a lobby group that will ensure there will be an exception status for every industry, in order to be consistent & fair to everyone throughout the turf industry.

Interestingly, golf courses often employ the very same no-risk conventional products that are used to control invasive weeds & damaging insects on municipal & residential properties, which are currently prohibited in many jurisdictions.

Mr William H Gathercole was the original creator of the exception status that has allowed the golf industry, throughout North America, to avoid being subjected to prohibitions against pest control products.

In addition, one of the principal reasons why the golf industry was provided with an exception status from Ontario’s Cosmetic Pesticides Ban Act is because of Mr Jarrod Barakett at Ontario Golf Superintendents Association ( OGSA ), who organized an impeccable public affairs effort.

Below is a list of ten organizations that have publicly stated, in one form or another, that they do not want any exception status for the golf industry.

They have specifically demanded that the loophole be closed in the province of Ontario         Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment ( CAPE )      Canadian Cancer Society ( CCS )      Canadian Environmental Law Association ( CELA )      David Suzuki Foundation      Green Party of Ontario      Liberal Party of Ontario ( LPO )      New Democratic Party of Ontario ( NDP )      Pesticide Free Ontario ( PFO )      Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario ( RNAO )      Sierra Club of Canada.

Even with the pesticide ban exception status, since 2013, almost one-third of all existing golf course products were nationally-prohibited, including         Arrest-75W      ProTurf FF II 14-3-3 Turf Fertilizer With 15.4 Per Cent Quintozene      ProTurf Granular Fungicide V Containing Chloroneb      ProTurf Granular Insecticide 1 With Diazinon      Quintozene 75 Per Cent      Terraneb SP      Tersan 1991.

In addition, chlorpyrifos & diazinon are active ingredients that have also been nationally-prohibited throughout the entire turf industry, which includes, of course, golf courses.

Since 2015, Canada’s further national-prohibitions came as no surprise since the decisions by the Liberal-controlled Health Canada had been mostly implemented within mere months after Liberal Party won in the Canadian General Election on October 19th, 2015.

As expected, once elected to power, Canada’s Trudeau Liberal Government quickly conspired to propose & enact national-prohibitions against more of the turf industry’s desperately-needed pest control product ingredients, such as         Carbaryl      Chlorothalonil      Iprodione      Neonicotinoids

The golf industry needs a lobby group that will ensure that Health Canada has considered all of the information in a weight-of-the-evidence approach whenever it imposes national-prohibitions against its products.

Here is the Canadian golf industry’s official position statements on this form of maintenance

Golf courses have not adopted a policy of no-pesticides

Canadian conditions are not conducive for pesticide-free maintenance

Acceptable playing conditions can only be achieved through the use of pest control products

These products are a necessity due to the requirement for professional turfgrasses grown in difficult climate conditions.

PUT UP FOR SALE & PLACED UNDER RECEIVERSHIP   —   Blackburn Meadows claimed to be Canada’s #1 Organic Golf Course.  It was not a good example of a successful & lucrative pesticide- & chemical fertilizer-free golf facility.  It provided golfers with low-end playing conditions.  Blackburn Meadows was a nine-hole course that was established at the remote Salt Spring Island in British Columbia.  It fell into bankruptcy, & was placed under receivership.  Blackburn Meadows issued the following statement    —   «  Unfortunately, Blackburn Meadows will not be opening  » .  It is gone, forever.  Blackburn Meadows had the support of irrational pesticide-hating extremists at Pesticide Free BC, an organization that conspires to prohibit against pest control products that are, in fact, federally legal, scientifically safe, & will cause no harm.  Blackburn Meadows was a bogus pesticide-free golf course.   —   See link below.

Brigadoon Golf Course
~

NO LONGER PRETENDS TO BE ORGANIC   —   Brigadoon is a nine-hole public course located in Parksville, British Columbia.  Its organic pesticide-free maintenance has been questionable & unverifiable.  According to Brigadoon, its golf course has somehow exemplified environmental stewardship by implying that it does not use pest control products in its turf maintenance program.  In fact, Brigadoon has not overtly stated that it does not use pest control products, but has merely made the following obscure statement of intent   —   «  No chemical fungicides, pesticides or herbicides will be used on the property  » .  It is highly unlikely that Brigadoon has ever been entirely pesticide-free, &, interestingly, it presently no longer pretends to be organic.  Organic is gone, forever.  Brigadoon has the support of irrational pesticide-hating extremists at Pesticide Free BC, an organization that conspires to prohibit against pest control products that are, in fact, federally legal, scientifically safe, & will cause no harm.  Brigadoon is an example of a dismal failure of a pesticide-free golf course because its success has been unverifiable.   —   See link below.

Fiddler’s Green Golf Course

CLOSED & GONE FOREVER   —   Failure of organic pesticide-free maintenance.  Fiddler’s Green was opened at Williams Point, in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.  This nine-hole golf course was mere farm land converted into a golf course with low-end playing conditions.  This club claimed that it was   —   Atlantic Canada’s only organic golf course ?!?!  Canada’s first organic golf course ?!?!  According to a local journalist, this club represented    —   «  An environmental philosophy which presents this course as an example of modern thinking about golf courses  » .  [ ?!?! ]  In other words, the owner could not have been bothered providing players with adequate playing conditions.  Later, Fiddler’s Green announced that it was closed.  It is gone, forever.  No one wanted to play on a #@!!% pest-infested garbage dump golf course.   —   See links below.

Granby River Golf Course
~

PLACED UNDER RECEIVERSHIP & DEGRADED INTO A 300-ACRE HAY FIELD   —   Granby River was an eighteen-hole course that was built on an organic cattle ranch near the city of Grand Forks, British Columbia.  The non-expert operators of this cattle ranch claimed to have spent time researching ( i.e. performing Google searches like grade school children ) on how to build & run a so-called pesticide-free golf course business.  In other words, they had no idea what they were doing, & the business was doomed to fail.  According to the operators of Granby River, their ideas were somehow unique in that it was one of only a handful of courses in North America that was truly organic in nature, & was supposedly maintained without the use of so-called chemicals ( a.k.a. pest control products ).  What they forgot to mention is that the vast majority of pesticide-free golf courses have been victims of receivership & bankruptcy, or are unplayable garbage dumps.  Besides, there is only one organic golf course in North America   ―   & it was not Granby River.  Why aren’t there more organic golf courses ?  Unfortunately, organic requires staggering & unlimited amounts of money, which Granby River could never afford.  Sadly, only the ultra-wealthy elite golf courses are able to afford organic, which would be financially-impossible for most other main-stream golf courses.  Organic costs millions & millions of dollars.  No main-stream golf course can afford this #@!!% organic nonsense.  Granby River alleged using illegal concoctions of so-called organic materials & home remedies, supposedly to keep its fairways lush & its greens disease-free.  [ ?!?! ]  An illegal & ineffective concoction of garlic extract was used to suppress disease on the greens   ―   this green alternative did not work !  Rock glacial dust was also illegally used to suppress white grubs   ―   this green alternative did not work either !  Copper sulphate was illegally used to suppress snow mold diseases   ―   this green alternative certainly did not work !  Predictably, business was not brisk, to say the least, since Granby River was a pest-infested garbage dump golf course.  Golf operations ceased, & the course was closed.  It fell into bankruptcy, & was placed under receivership.  Granby River degraded into a 300 acre hay field ( organic hay field, that is ! ).  The courts ordered a foreclosure sale.  Granby River was a bogus pesticide-free golf course.  It is gone, forever.  No one wanted to play on a #@!!% pest-infested garbage dump golf course !   —   See link below.

Victory Against Organic In America

Bethpage State Park Green Golf Course
~

BETHPAGE’S FAILURE   —   Definitely not pesticide-free, merely less reliant on pesticides.  The golf industry must discredit facilities like Bethpage that embraces the costly, failed, medieval, ineffective, & unfeasible doctrines of organic pesticide-free maintenance.  Located in Farmingdale, New York State, USA.

BETHPAGE’S PESTICIDE-FREE   —   Organic maintenance practices have been a failure at Bethpage State Park Green Golf Course.  There is only one organic golf course in America   ―   & it is not Bethpage.  This is because a pesticide-free program at Bethpage was not feasible for producing acceptable putting green surfaces.  Bethpage is definitely not pesticide-free, but rather, it is merely less reliant on pesticides, which means it still uses pesticides with impunity.  Attempts had been made to adapt Integrated Pest Management, or IPM, into a supposedly more progressive  [ ?!?!?!?! ]  pesticide-free version   —   supposedly bringing Bethpage one step closer to becoming an organic & a pesticide-free golf course.  Predictably, IPM golf courses like Bethpage will never become pesticide-free.  The infamous Vineyard golf club, in Massachusetts, USA, is the only organic golf course in America.

BETHPAGE’S LARGE-SCALE DEATH   —   Not surprisingly, failed, futile, & ineffective Integrated Pest Management ( IPM ) & pesticide-free doctrines will never control infestations of recurring invasive weeds & destructive insects & harmful diseases.  Consequently, Bethpage suffered disaster with the large-scale-death of annual bluegrass.  One of the most important organic golf maintenance protocols is turf species transition ( i.e. the elimination of annual bluegrass ).  To avoid disaster, all organic golf courses must be expected to transition their putting greens from annual bluegrass to creeping bentgrass.  Improved varieties of creeping bentgrass are more resistant to pests than annual bluegrass, an invasive grass species that is highly susceptible to pests & requires the use of more pest control products.  Annual bluegrass is also more susceptible to abiotic disorders, such as winter injury & summer stress   ―   it must be eliminated before embarking on costly, failed, medieval, ineffective, & unfeasible organic maintenance.  If putting greens contain more than 50 per cent annual bluegrass, then there will be a disaster when implementing organic management plan.  The maintenance practices used at Bethpage are seen as a terrible template for IPM & organic pesticide-free maintenance & turf species transition.

BETHPAGE’S SUCCESS ?   —   Bethpage State Park actually features 5 18-hole regulation golf courses including the world-renowned Black Course which was the site of two US Open championships   ―   if organic at Bethpage Green Course is so successful, then why aren’t the 4 other Bethpage courses practicing organic maintenance as well ?!??

BETHPAGE’S TERRIBLE ATTACK   —   The golf industry must not readily embrace the false-allegations & propaganda of activist-consultants, especially about Bethpage State Park Green Golf Course.  The golf industry must respond by ending its validation of activist-consultants like Frank Rossi.  Furthermore, the golf industry cannot possibly consider Bethpage as a template that serves as an example for the golf industry.  [ ?!?!?!?! ]  In essence, Bethpage represents a terrible attack against main-stream superintendents & their facilities.  Bethpage is recognized as a failure.  The golf industry does not need this organic nonsense.   —   See links below.

Chambers Bay Links Golf Course
~

CHAMBERS BAY’S FAILURE   —   Chambers Bay represents the failure of the go-brown anti-cosmetic golf course doctrine.  Go-brown has been a failure & leads to garbage dump golf courses that look dead.  Chambers Bay is located on Puget Sound in Washington State, USA.   It is a so-called sustainable, all-fescue, Scottish-links-style course that was built on a reclaimed gravel pit.  The course uses almost no irrigation, almost no synthetic fertilizers, & almost no pesticides.  But, it is not pesticide-free, looks like a brown garbage dump, with the look of death, & provides golfers with low-end playing conditions.  It is a twisted & deviant showcase for go-brown becoming the new green.  This course does not look like most of the lush, immaculate courses you see around Houston, Dallas, or San Antonio, or for that matter, any of the tournament courses you see on television.  Not everyone is ready to stand up & cheer for this brown course.  Observers worry that government officials, wo are eager to jump on the go-brown band-wagon, will cause trouble for other golf courses trying to maintain tournament-grade turf.  According to entomologist Dan Potter of University of Kentucky, research has shown that pesticide-free golf does not work in many, perhaps most settings.  Chambers Bay is a bogus pesticide-free golf course.  Who wants to play on a #@!!% pest-infested garbage dump golf course ?!?!

GO-BROWN GOLF COURSES LOOK DEAD   —   Nonetheless, the go-brown anti-cosmetic golf course doctrine has been embraced by so-called activist-superintendents who have also adopted anti-pesticide policies & anti-fertilizer policies.  They have arbitrarily decided to adopt these policies in defiance of maintenance protocols & performance standards that have been scientifically established for generations.  Consequently, go-brown golf courses look dead.  After decades of benefiting from the golf industry’s pesticide ban exception status, activist-superintendents have ridiculously decided to self-impose their own pesticide bans.  They have also arbitrarily decided to adopt the arbitrary reduction of nutrients.  This is not what they are paid to do.  They are not true golf course superintendent.  Golf course superintendents must not forget that paying customers want golf courses with high-quality playing conditions & aesthetics provided by greener, thicker, pest-free, & manicured turf conditions.  The golf industry does not need this go-brown & pesticide-free nonsense.   —   See links below.

EcoLand Golf Course
~

ECOLAND’S GREENS DYING   —   EcoLand was a bogus pesticide-free golf course.  False & fraudulent allegations regarding organic maintenance.  Putting greens were dying under pesticide-free doctrine.  EcoLand is a supposed organic golf course that has alleged being pesticide-free only when it is convenient.  The results were low-quality low-end garbage-dump playing conditions.  Nobody wanted to play on a in a garbage dump.  Golf courses can actually beautify & improve the environmental conditions, especially when using pest control products.  Pesticide-free is not agronomically & economically viable.

ECOLAND’S GARBAGE DUMPS   —   EcoLand Golf Club is a nine-hole golf course with low-end playing conditions located on the island of Jeju, which is the only special autonomous province of South Korea, Southeast-Asia, situated on & co-terminous with the country’s largest island.  Jeju government officials prohibited EcoLand from using so-called agricultural chemicals under the pretext that the land is located within a special type of local forest.  [ ?!?! ]  Irrational pesticide-hating extremists falsely & fraudulently alleged that golf courses are somehow the main cause of ground-water exhaustion & pollution.  EcoLand is yet another example of a pesticide-free golf course that resulted in a golf disaster with garbage dump playing conditions.  Officials at EcoLand had been mis-informed that they could avoid using pest control products by using native grasses which were allegedly more resilient to disease when compared to bentgrass, which was in use at most other nearby golf courses.

ECOLAND’S GREEN ALTERNATIVE   —   Additionally, EcoLand was mis-managed because of its reliance on a phony, inferior, ineffective, & unaffordable green alternative pesticide, in the form of some utterly useless micro-organism treatment   ―   provided by an unethical lying avaricious for-profit supplier.  Consequently, the putting greens died at EcoLand since they became infested with damaging & fatal pests.  Some putting greens became dirt patches & looked like garbage dumps.  The only defence against the total collapse of the putting greens was the use of conventional pest control products.  The use of these products to protect the putting greens from death was determined to be the totally reasonable course of action.  Who wants to play on a #@!!% pest-infested garbage dump golf course ?!?!   —   See link below.

Hyde Park Golf Course
~

HYDE PARK’S PESTICIDE-FREE CATASTROPHE   —   Failure of organic pesticide-free conditions. Without pest control products, golf course turf will be damaged & killed by deadly pest outbreaks.  Because no one applied pesticides, Hyde Park, in Niagara Falls, New York State, USA, was almost lost or immeasurably damaged.  Because of employee conflicts & lack of planning, Hyde Park unwittingly became a pesticide-free catastrophe.  It became infested with damaging pests that killed turf.  Officials at Hyde Park appeared to be unable or unwilling to properly maintain their playing conditions.  And, no paying-golfer wanted to play on a #@!!% pest-infested golf course that resembled a garbage dump.  A licensed pesticide applicator was eventually hired, & the golf course was saved by pesticides.  Unfortunately, pesticide-free golf courses, like Hyde Park, become infested with destructive & catastrophic pest problems & disorders.  Pesticide-free putting greens are dead putting greens.  Any trend favouring bogus organic pesticide free golf courses will drive golfers out & will lead to economic hardship & bankruptcy.   —   See links below.

Laurelwood Golf Course
~

LAURELWOOD’S FAILURE   —   Laurelwood is a low-class municipal golf course that cannot possibly afford organic pesticide free.  Laurelwood’s experimentation with alternative inputs is a huge expensive & deadly failure.

LAURELWOOD’S PESTICIDE-FREE ?   —   Laurelwood is a 9-hole municipal golf course where male-golfers are allowed to go shirtless & where local residents are permitted walk their dogs.  Laurelwood is a small, insignificant, low-class golf course located in Eugene, Oregon, USA.  Laurelwood is not organic   ―   it is merely fake-organic that pretends to be organic.  Organic means that a golf course has self-imposed prohibition against all conventional pest control products, rendering it pesticide-free.  Laurelwood cannot possibly be organic since it neither has the financing nor the capability to be organic.  Besides, there is only one organic golf course in America   ―   & it is not Laurelwood.  Why aren’t there more organic golf courses ?  Unfortunately, organic requires staggering & unlimited amounts of money, which Laurelwood itself cannot afford.  Sadly, only the ultra-wealthy elite golf courses are able to afford organic, which would be financially-impossible for most other main-stream golf courses.  Organic costs millions & millions of dollars.  No main-stream golf course can afford this #@!!% organic nonsense.  Nonetheless, Laurelwood is not organic since it is definitely not pesticide-free, but rather, it practices the hybrid-pesticide-use approach, which means it still uses pesticides with impunity.  Laurelwood is a mere fake-organic & a hybrid-pesticide-use golf course that pretends to be organic.  Incredibly, those who operate Laurelwood are practicing the hybrid-pesticide-use approach which includes the regular use of conventional pest control products, when it suits their purposes.  Laurelwood is operated by hypocrites, liars, frauds, & weaklings.  Using Laurelwood as an example of an organic golf course represents a terrible template for superintendents.  At Laurelwood, organic & pesticide-free practices are huge operational failures.  The infamous Vineyard golf club, in Massachusetts, USA, is the only organic golf course in America.

LAURELWOOD’S DEADLY EXPERIMENTATION   —   Laurelwood uses pesticides whenever the need arises.  Ostensively, conventional products will be applied when paying-golfers are not present on the property, or when the facilities are closed.  The so-called success of the hybrid-pesticide-use approach is promoted by officials at Laurelwood, with unverifiable success stories. There is no industry & no regulatory oversight concerning any Laurelwood allegations.  Without oversight, Laurelwood’s officials can say whatever they want, & they can lie with impunity, especially about any flagrant use of pesticides, or about any large-scale-death of turfgrass.  Without oversight, they can conveniently ignore the disaster at Laurelwood resulting in large-scale-death because of amateurish, non-scientific, & deadly experimentation that hopelessly relied upon trial & error.  Laurelwood’s experimentation is a huge, expensive, & deadly failure.  According to a Laurelwood official   —   «    I’ve been experimenting pretty heavily   we started killing stuff    we got pretty good at killing stuff  » .  [ ?!?!?!?! ]  The golf industry does not need this organic nonsense.   —   See links below.

Victory Against Organic In America

Vineyard Golf Club
~

VINEYARD’S MAINTENANCE   —   Financially-impossibly of organic pesticide-free maintenance.  Adopting organic pesticide-free maintenance is financially-impossible for main-stream golf courses.  The golf industry must discredit facilities like Vineyard that can only thrive when staggering & unlimited amounts of money are provided by either government hand-outs & / or ultra-wealthy members.  Located in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, USA.

VINEYARD’S PROHIBITION   —   Vineyard Golf Club is the only organic pesticide-free golf course in America.  Vineyard has self-imposed prohibition against so-called synthetic no-harm conventional pesticides.  This prohibition was adopted because of a false-perception about the uncertainty of pesticides.  [ ?!?! ]  This arbitrary prohibition was decreed by an ill-informed & possibly corrupt local county commission.  In fact, there is no uncertainty about pesticides, & no prohibition was ever necessary.  National regulatory agencies, world-wide, have found that pest control products do not present risks of concern to human health or the environment when used according to label directions.

THE VINEYARD EFFECT   —   Only the ultra-wealthy elite golfers at Vineyard are able to afford organic pesticide-free maintenance practices.  These practices have led to what is known as the Vineyard Effect or the Vineyard Syndrome.  This is because maintaining Vineyard costs as much as Augusta National Golf Club, if not more.  Augusta is one of the most expensive golf facilities in the world   ―   & the least typical golf course on the planet   ―   with demands of ultra-high quality playing conditions & aesthetics & perfection.  Vineyard also demands of ultra-high quality playing conditions & aesthetics, but with perfect 100 per cent prohibition, & at a cost of millions & millions of dollars that have been squandered on this organic pesticide-free failure !  Organic golf can only thrive when staggering & unlimited amounts of money are provided by either government hand-outs & / or ultra-wealthy members.  Adopting the Vineyard Effect is financially-impossible for main-stream golf courses.

VINEYARD’S ENVIRO-PROFIT   —   Vineyard is a pesticide-free golf course because of demands from local residents   ―   not for the protection of the environment   ―   but in return for being given staggering amounts of profit.  Vineyard was allowed to be built only after nearby residents were given millions & millions of dollars in membership benefits, for almost free.  Their interference in partisan politics & public policy led to virtually zero-cost membership benefits as a result of the Vineyard Effect.

VINEYARD’S FAILURES   —   Vineyard has suffered failure after failure after failure as it performs amateur & non-scientific experimentation that hopelessly relies upon trial & error.  Vineyard officials allege having more & more success every year.  [ ?!?! ]  In other words, there has been nothing but failure year after year after year, all because of the Vineyard Effect.  Vineyard’s organic pesticide-free practices, like back-breaking manual weed-picking, are medieval & ineffective failures that have never worked, have been totally ineffective, have been staggeringly expensive, & have been discouraging for employees.  The Vineyard Effect has regressed maintenance practices by 100 years.

VINEYARD’S TERRIBLE ATTACK   —   Validating the Vineyard Effect, a.k.a. the Vineyard Syndrome, as a template for imposing pesticide-free maintenance represents a terrible attack against main-stream superintendents & their facilities.  The golf industry must discredit facilities like Vineyard that embrace the medieval & ineffective practices of organic pesticide-free maintenance.  The Vineyard Effect must be stopped, forever.  The golf industry does not need this organic nonsense.   —   See links below.

CRITICAL ISSUES   —   The golf industry’s superintendents must recognize that they are on a collision course with the looming shipwreck of golf-hating & anti-pesticide extremism.  Even though they enjoy exception statuses from municipal or provincial pesticide bans, superintendents face some huge challenges because of their high degree of vulnerability concerning several public affairs issues.  In order to successfully deter the malicious efforts of all mindless attacks against their golf facilities, several critical issues must immediately be addressed in order for the golf industry to survive.   —   See link below.

Summary

VICTORY      Guelph has resumed using conventional pesticides.

Three years after it was imposed, Guelph rescinded its harmful-prohibition, & hired a contractor to apply at least three applications of conventional herbicides to eliminate weeds & grasses on city-owned properties.

This reversal of prohibition was a hypocritical shift on Guelph’s anti-pesticide policy.

Consequently, Guelph will allow conventional pest control applications because it arbitrarily suits government officials.

According municipal officials, organic pesticide-free maintenance was a dismal failure since it was not possible to control weeds without no-risk conventional products.

Manual weed picking was ineffective.

Because of prohibition, home-owners had to resort to the back-breaking & agonizing job of weed pulling by hand, spending four hours per day plucking dandelions like cotton-pickers.

Because of the city of Guelph’s municipal prohibition, professional lawn care businesses lost at least 30 per cent of their customers within two years.

Harmful-prohibition led to horrendous & catastrophic financial carnage, in the form of immense losses of revenues, business failures, bankruptcy, & unemployment.

Municipal Government Has Opposed
Ontario’s Provincial Prohibition
~
See below

Summary

VICTORY      Municipal officials have strongly & publicly opposed Ontario’s existing provincial prohibition.

In the city of Hamilton, children cannot play on the grass because of the invasion of weeds.

Both the city of Hamilton & the province of Ontario had imposed harmful-prohibitions against irreplaceable conventional pest control products used, which led to catastrophic ecological carnage in the form of dangerous garbage dump green spaces.

There were no viable, no efficacious, no economical, no practical, & no low-risk green alternatives to replace these products.

Organic pesticide-free maintenance has been a failure because it is medieval & ineffective.

Moreover, no one wanted this #@!!% dangerous ban nonsense that placed their children at risk.

A city councillor complained that children in the area couldn’t play on the grass because of the invasion of weeds.

One official said if more wasn’t done, sports fields were expected to be 98 per cent weeds in the next decade.

Hamilton’s Public Works Committee & Ancaster councillor Lloyd Ferguson attempted to allow pest control products to be used by licensed operators, in defiance of Ontario’s provincial prohibition.

This attempt was negatively-viewed by irrational pesticide-hating extremists as watering down Ontario’s pesticide ban.

~
Garbage-Dump Sports Fields Under The

Anti-Pesticide Ban Needed To Be Rescued
With Conventional Pest Control Products
~
Manual Weed Picking Ineffective
~
See below

Summary

VICTORY      Highland Park has resumed using conventional pesticides.

Highland Park concluded that organic pesticide-free maintenance of its sports fields was a dismal failure.

Highland Park needed to rescue its weed-ridden garbage-dump sports fields from the medieval & ineffective practices of organic pesticide-free maintenance.

After four years, weeds invaded more than 60 per cent of ground coverage at the parks & sports fields.

Prohibition contributed to the worst conditions the district had seen in more than a decade.

The manual weed picking program was deemed totally ineffective.

Highland Park had to resort to the back-breaking & agonizing job of weed pulling by hand.

The city’s professional labour force, along with volunteers, had been devalued into a group of mere cotton-pickers.

In order to rid the sports fields of weeds by using manual weed picking, Highland Park observed that you would need an army & concluded that      « we don’t think that’s a solution ».

Highland Park had ignored the failure of prohibition at the city of Boulder, Colorado, with a maintenance program that went from a 15,000-dollars per year to a staggering 300,000-dollars+ per year, under the direction of Chip-Charles Osborne, the incompetent consultant & pesticide-hating extremist.

One year later, Boulder re-introduced herbicides like no-risk Roundup.

Boulder allowed conventional pest control applications because it arbitrarily suits government officials.

The irrational pesticide-hating extremists at Beyond Pesticides, who recommended organic pesticide-free maintenance, knew nothing & were utterly incompetent.

Pest control products used in the urban landscape are government-approved, federally-legal, scientifically-safe, & practically-non-toxic.

These products did not need to be prohibited.

Organic pesticide-free maintenance has been a failure because it is medieval & ineffective.

Existing Municipal Prohibition Morally Invalidated

Several Government Officials Who Were

Hudson’s Anti-Pesticide Mayor,
Councillors, & Staff, Were Crooks

See below

Summary

VICTORY      Hudson’s existing prohibition has been morally invalidated.

This is because several of those officials who were responsible for prohibition have faced charges of fraud, corruption, & tax-evasion.

So far, one government official has been convicted & jailed.

Consequently, Hudson’s existing prohibition, as well as all those municipal & provincial prohibitions that followed, will be considered morally invalidated.

Additionally, the province of Quebec later officially acknowledged that 2,4-D was safe & did not pose an unacceptable risk to human health & the environment.

Consequently, Quebec’s prohibition became morally invalidated by this acknowledgement.

Eventually, Quebec’s prohibition was further morally invalidated by a lawsuit known as the NAFTA Challenge.

Dow AgroSciences, the manufacturer of the herbicide 2,4-D, settled the NAFTA challenge case with the Canadian government.

Hudson was / is infested with corrupt crooks & tax-evading criminals who were also, not surprisingly, irrational pesticide-hating extremist-politicians.

They stated lies like they were truth, & in a way that made people listen to them.

Mayor Michael Elliot, & his co-conspirator councillors & managers, were lunatжc-liars !

They lied about pesticides.

They lied about their personal income tax.

They lied about town finances.

They lied & lied & lied.

Because of their lies, these lunatжcs annihilated the professional lawn care industry, coast-to-coast.

Their lies subsequently created a trail of economic destruction with thousands of people out of work.

Their lies discredited Health Canada in order to prohibit products that had been scientifically-approved by the highest quality experts.

In fact, Elliott & his co-conspirators were the least qualified to provide any advice about pest control products.

Or about simply being honest.

Observers are dismayed that these irrational pesticide-hating extremist-politicians were ever allowed to run for office.

They should all be sterilized so that their offspring cannot run for office.

Being pesticide-haters equals being crooks all-round.

Summary

VICTORY      Kamloops has allowed conventional pest control applications.

Kamloops’ city council has not prohibited all pest control products, & has allowed exceptions for fruit & vegetable production, golf courses, mosquito control, nursery production, orchards, rose gardens, sod production, & sports fields.

These are victories, of sorts, even though the prohibition specifically discriminates against one specific type of business, professional lawn care.

Kamloops’ prohibition has been arbitrary & discriminatory.

Kamloops’ prohibition against professional lawn care businesses implies that   —   it is safe for children & adults to walk on pesticide-treated golf courses, & eat pesticide-treated food, but it is seemingly not safe for them to walk & play on pesticide-treated lawns.

Irrational pesticide-hating extremist & elected-official Tina Lange supported a total ban on pesticides for the general public, with good reason      «  It’s not necessary to spray chemicals to kill dandelions  ―  dandelions are people, too  [ ?!?!?!?! ]  » .

In order to be consistent & fair, there should be no arbitrary exceptions for anyone.

The use of inconsistent & unfair exceptions demonstrated that prohibition has been a dismal failure.

Summary

VICTORY      Kauaʻi County’s ordinance / restriction was struck down.

A US federal judge rescinded an ordinance / restriction that arbitrarily & illegally forced the agriculture industry to divulge what pest control products were to be used for crop protection.

The judge’s ruling also struck down the creation of arbitrary & unnecessary buffer zones near public places like hospitals, schools, & parks.

Officials at Kauaʻi County have faced the spotlight of scrutiny & the terrжr of the courts.

Their anti-pesticide restriction could not be defended in court.

Kauaʻi County’s ordinance / restriction arbitrarily & illegally forced the agriculture industry to divulge what pest control products were to be used for crop protection.

Kauaʻi County also arbitrarily & illegally forced the agriculture industry to create unnecessary buffer zones near public places like hospitals, schools, & parks.

A federal judge ruled that the Kauaʻi County law arbitrarily & illegally forcing the agriculture industry to divulge its use of pest control products & genetically modified ( GM ) crops was invalid.

Eventually, US federal magistrate judge Barry Kurren ruled in favour of four agricultural businesses seeking to stop Kauaʻi County’s arbitrary & illegal restriction from going into effect.

Summary

VICTORY      Kelowna has allowed conventional pest control applications.

A proposed municipal prohibition was stopped, & an exception status was granted for professional lawn care businesses & golf courses in Kelowna.

Despite being unable to justify any form of prohibition, Kelowna imposed a partial prohibition against the use of pest control products that were arbitrarily deemed as non-essential, & specifically against home-owners.

However, professional lawn care businesses & golf courses were allowed to conduct their operations in an unobstructed manner by providing them with an unfair & discriminatory exception status.

These operations needed the exception status since organic pesticide-free maintenance was a dismal failure & would have otherwise led them into bankruptcy & destitution.

Beginning in 2009, Kelowna regulated the use of pest control products that were arbitrarily deemed as non-essential.

This included the maintenance of outdoor flowers, lawns, trees, shrubs, & other ornamental plants, as well as hard surfaces such as driveways.

Home-owners in Kelowna were coerced into accepting the prohibition against pest control products that are, in fact, Health-Canada-approved, federally-legal, scientifically-safe, & practically-non-toxic.

Nonetheless, the use of inconsistent & unfair exceptions demonstrated that prohibition has been a dismal failure.

Summary

VICTORY      Lawrence has resumed using conventional pesticides.

Lawrence’s government officials rescinded prohibition against the use of conventional pest control products on city properties.

Previously, Lawrence had to resort to forcing resident / volunteers to the back-breaking & agonizing job of manual weed picking.

The volunteers, as well as the city’s professional labour force, were devalued into groups of mere cotton-pickers.

Consequently, government officials rescinded prohibition since residents were no longer interested to volunteer their time in a losing battle against weeds.

Manual weed picking was a pesticide-free failure, & no-risk conventional products were reinstated.

Irrational pesticide-hating extremists had lobbied Lawrence’s commissioners to convert all 52 parks to organic pesticide-free maintenance.

Before prohibition, Lawrence spent less than 10,000-dollars per year for conventional pest control products.

However, municipal officials estimated that the cataclysmic cost of a pesticide ban would be 213,000-dollars for equipment, 116,000-dollars annually for staff, & 95,000-dollars annually for materials.

Organic pesticide-free maintenance with manual weed picking was a dismal failure.

Summary

VICTORY      Lincoln City has resumed using conventional pesticides.

Because of self-imposed prohibition on city-owned properties, parks surged with weed growth & degraded them into pest-infested garbage dumps, resulting in the reinstatement of conventional herbicides.

City staff had attempted to pull weeds on their hands & knees, but could not keep up with the invasion, even when the city spent 260 staff hours, an exorbitant cost in labour.

Before prohibition, city staff would need to spend only 60 hours annually on weeds.

Green alternative pesticides, like vinegar acid, were unacceptable because they were not only ineffective, but they were also more toxic & more dangerous with burns to the eyes & skin, requiring protective masks & suits.

Three years after prohibition, no-risk conventional pest control products were reinstated for treatment of weed-infested parks.

In essence, Lincoln City will allow conventional pest control applications because it arbitrarily suits city staff.

Organic pesticide-free maintenance with vinegar acid & manual weed picking was a dismal failure.

Existing Municipal Prohibition Ignored

Violated Its Own Anti-Pesticide Policies

Failed, Futile, & Ineffective Integrated Pest
Management ( IPM ) & Pesticide Free Doctrines
~
See below

Summary

VICTORY      Madison has allowed conventional pest control applications.

Schizophrenic city officials violated Madison’s own existing municipal prohibition.

The city’s anti-pesticide policy / doctrine says   —    «  …  the city shall not use pesticides to control dandelions & other broad-leaved weeds on general parklands, median strips, street terraces, roadsides, general lawn areas, & athletic fields  » .

This policy has been in line with the failed, futile, & ineffective Integrated Pest Management ( IPM ) doctrine, where all city departments have been expected to give preference to non-pesticide management practices ( which do not work ), & to use the so-called least-risky pesticides only as a last resort ( which is incorrect ).

Nonetheless, Madison’s use of pesticides has been described as schizophrenic since it has violated its own anti-pesticide policy because it arbitrarily suits government officials.

Madison has continued to use hundreds of gallons of pesticides, such as glyphosate, 2,4-D, & several others, on athletic fields & other city lands   ―   because organic pesticide-free maintenance with green alternatives were dismal failures & did not work.

Harmful-prohibitions are failures because of phony, inferior, ineffective, & unaffordable green alternative pesticides , including bio-pesticides & non-synthetic pesticides, which cannot replace effective & no-risk conventional products.

Furthermore, Madison’s anti-pesticide doctrine has conflicted with the Wisconsin state pre-emption statute, stating that local governments may not prohibit the use of, or otherwise regulate, pesticides.

Madison’s harmful-prohibition with IPM has been a dismal failure.

Victories Against Prohibitions In Maine

Tens Of Thousands Of Exceptions
~

VICTORIES      Maine’s municipalities have allowed conventional pest control applications.

Municipalities, particularly along the coast, have been developing harmful-prohibitions under the false-pretexts of protecting their residents from the supposed threat of harm of pest control products.

These prohibitions / ordinances specifically cite false-pretexts such as         Bees      Birth defects      Cancer      Children      Fish      Health      Leukemia      Poisons      Pollution      Safety      Toxicity      & More

These are absolutely false-pretexts concocted by irrational pesticide-hating extremists.

Consequently, Maine’s municipal prohibitions became dismal failures.

Overwhelming scientific evidence clearly demonstrated that pest control products are scientifically-safe, & will not cause harm to children, adults, animals, or the environment.

Maine’s municipalities have shown that they are incapable of processing overwhelming scientific evidence.

Should we trust municipal officials who conveniently ignore scientific evidence ?!?!

No.

The audacity & hypocrisy of Maine’s municipal officials is clearly evident with exceptions that they have conveniently inserted into their prohibitions / ordinances.

In contradiction to the political-precepts & pesticide-hating doctrines of these prohibitions, these municipalities have allowed tens of thousands of inconsistent & unfair exceptions, including         Agriculture      Golf courses      Green alternative pesticides      Nurseries      Repellents      Rodenticides      Sports fields      Timber harvesting      & More

Moreover, some municipalities have maliciously prevented residents & businesses from using pest control products without first extorting them to pay for predatory-permits.

There should be no #@!!% exceptions & no #@!!% predatory-permits whatsoever.

Victory Against Prohibition In Maine

City Of Scarborough
~

VICTORY      Scarborough, Maine, has allowed conventional pest control applications.

This is because of the failure with organic pesticide-free maintenance.

The best example of the failures & the ridiculousness of exceptions can be seen in the city  of Scarborough.

Because of its harmful-prohibition, Scarborough’s green spaces became pest-infested & dangerous garbage dumps.

Ultimately, ineffective green alternative pesticides & practices were abandoned in favour of a more effective conventional insecticide called Dylox.

This was one of many examples proving that organic pesticide-free maintenance does not work.

Consequently, Scarborough’s harmful-prohibition is Maine’s biggest dismal failure.

Victories Against Prohibitions In Maine

Major Study Of Prohibitions / Ordinances
~

VICTORIES      A major study of Maine’s prohibitions has concluded that they are all dismal failures.

Here is a summary regarding Maine’s prohibitions / ordinances

Most ordinances have imposed prohibitions that are dismal failures.

Most ordinances have been validated under false-pretexts.

Most ordinances have specifically allowed thousands & thousands of inconsistent & unfair exceptions.

   Some ordinances extort predatory-permits.

Unless the state of Maine intervenes, municipalities will use home rule to validate their own local prohibitions.

Most ordinances have imposed prohibitions against aerial-spraying & forestry, roadside rights-of-way, & storage   ―   very few impose prohibitions against pest control products used to protect the urban landscape.

In some cases, municipal ordinances discriminate against businesses operating in the professional lawn care industry.

Municipal ordinances will literally put people out of business in the professional lawn care industry.

Not surprisingly, the agriculture industry is being protected from prohibitions by the state of Maine.

Municipal ordinances are expected to be stopped by the state government.

Maine’s harmful municipal prohibitions have been dismal failures.

Victory Against Prohibition

Manitoba, Province of

Key Points

Victory
~

Failure Of Pesticide-Hating Ban
~
Existing Provincial Prohibition Reversed
~
Fiesta Green Alternative Ineffective
~
See below

Summary

VICTORY      Manitoba will no longer ban conventional pesticides.

Manitoba has rescinded its existing provincial prohibition by allowing the use of any pesticide that is approved by Health Canada.

Manitoba has also harmonized its pesticide classification with the federal government’s existing classes.

Namaste, Manitoba      Greetings to you, Manitoba.

Anti-pesticide prohibition was a failure   ―   & an entire province, over 1 million Manitobans, have said so.

Manitoba’s provincial prohibition against conventional pest control products was harmful, reckless, arbitrary, & doomed-to-fail.

Provincial politics in Manitoba is dominated by the Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba, which is the current government-in-power, & the New Democrats ( NDP ), the radical pesticide-hating party that had imposed prohibition.

Prohibition was justified in Manitoba under the false-pretexts that pesticides supposedly caused environmental damage, various cancers, & negative effects on pollinators.

In fact, the public does not require protection from conventional pesticides.

Pesticides will not impact human health, bio-diversity, or ecosystems.

Furthermore, pesticides represent no-actual-risk-of-harm to children.

Pesticides are good for the urban landscape, & they will not harm human health & the environment when used properly.

Well-maintained urban landscapes will contribute to the quality of life of Manitobans & produce enormous environmental benefits.

Prohibition was wrongly justified with exaggerations that a single application of Fiesta herbicide, an inferior green alternative herbicide, would successfully replace conventional products such as Killex & Par III.

Unfortunately, it became impossible to keep Manitoba’s urban environment well-maintained, safe, & attractive by using pesticide-free programs consisting of alternative pesticides & practices only.

Green alternative pesticides will never, ever, work   ―   & an entire province, Manitoba, has said so.

Predictably, Manitoba’s prohibition has forced residents & professionals to rely upon phony, inferior, ineffective, & unaffordable green alternative pesticides like Fiesta herbicide.

The vast majority of Fiesta users overwhelmingly condemn it.

Green alternative pesticides, like Fiesta herbicide, have cost 10 to 15 times more than conventional products, in addition to being so ineffective that undesirable & repetitious applications have been required.

In fact, Manitoba’s harmful-prohibition has wreaked apocalyptic havoc in the form catastrophic ecological carnage & pest disasters, due to urban green spaces becoming weed-infested, insect-damaged, & dangerous garbage dumps because safe & effective conventional pest control products were not allowed.

There are no viable, no efficacious, no economical, & no low-risk alternatives to replace conventional products.

With the reversal of prohibition, Fiesta will inevitably become a bad memory, & all pesticides sold & used in Manitoba will simply be aligned with federal regulations & rigorous Health Canada assessments.

Pesticide-free programs are medieval, ineffective, & doomed-to-fail.

Now that Manitoba’s current Conservative government has rescinded prohibition, it will join the trend with over 70 other jurisdictions that have stopped or rescinded or limited or have begun to repeal harmful-prohibitions, or have granted commercial businesses with exceptions.

Thank you, Manitoba.

Health Canada Scientists Perform Thorough Science-

Products To Ensure That They Can Be Used Safely

Summary

VICTORY      Merritt will no longer ban conventional pesticides.

City council resisted efforts by pesticide-hating extremists, & a proposed municipal prohibition was stopped.

Nonetheless,  local extremists falsely-alleged that putting clover back into a lawn is one way to boost the nitrogen level in the grass & help fertilize it without using pesticides.  [ ?!?! ]

According to the radical & contemptible Canadian Cancer Society ( CCS ), there is evidence  [ ?!?! ]  of a link between pesticides & several types of cancer.

Canadian Cancer Society has demanded that all levels of government to impose prohibition against all so-called garden chemicals.

Not one pest control product registered in Canada is carcinogenic, despite the fear-mongering of irrational pesticide-hating CCS-extremists.

CCS prefers to be dishonest about the fact that pest control products are scientifically-safe because imaginary dangers about them continue to attract huge sums of profit in the form of donations.

There are over thousands of deaths per year from known cancer-causing substances such as cigarette smoke & alcohol.

Summary

VICTORY      Montgomery County has allowed conventional pest control applications.

Despite having adopted pesticide-free maintenance for its parks, Montgomery County defiantly allows inconsistent & unfair exceptions for county-owned properties in order to avoid catastrophic ecological pest disasters   ―   officials admit the county cannot, ever, be pesticide-free.

Montgomery County’s harmful-prohibition is a dismal & ridiculous failure.

Its fanatжcal doctrine of organic pesticide-free maintenance is politically-correct rubbish.

Montgomery County’s green spaces inevitably needed to be treated with safe & effective conventional pest control products, otherwise, they would become pest-infested & dangerous garbage dumps.

Not surprisingly, an unfair & inconsistent exception status by Montgomery County has allowed the use conventional pest control products despite its claims of pesticide-free green spaces.

Officials knew full well that their prohibition could not protect the county-owned properties from invasive weeds & damaging insects.

Montgomery County cannot, ever, be pesticide-free.

Overall, Montgomery County’s use of the failed, futile, & ineffective Integrated Pest Management ( IPM ) doctrine is also rubbish because it cannot control damaging pest populations to an acceptable level in established turf.

IPM relies upon green alternative pesticides that are phony, inferior, ineffective, unaffordable, & will not work.

IPM is #@!!% futile nonsense, & can only lead to garbage dump green spaces.

Montgomery County’s officials arbitrarily ignored that conventional pest control products are scientifically-safe, & will not cause harm to children, adults, & the environment.

Montgomery County’s prohibition against these products is not necessary.

Limited Provincial Prohibition Imposed, Especially Against 2,4-D
~

Summary

VICTORY      New Brunswick has allowed conventional pest control applications.

Limited provincial prohibition was imposed, specifically against 2,4-D, allowing thousands of inconsistent & unfair exceptions for the several active ingredients   —   a victory of sorts.

New Brunswick has imposed prohibition against certain uses of commercial grade pesticide products that contain the chemical 2,4-D herbicide.

Several other active ingredients have continued to remain permitted.

Prohibition has also been limited against several over-the-counter domestic products containing the ingredient 2,4-D, but home-owners can still spot-treat weeds using pre-mixed over-the-counter products.

Although 2,4-D for domestic lawn care purposes has been prohibited, an exception status has been granted to professional lawn care businesses, if their employees have the proper training in Integrated Pest Management ( IPM ), & if they do not use pesticides over more than fifty per cent of a lawn in one season.

Golf courses have also been granted an exception status.

It is common knowledge that IPM is considered as a failed, futile, & ineffective doctrine for the maintenance of turfgrass.

New Brunswick’s provincial prohibition has allowed thousands of inconsistent & unfair exceptions for the several active ingredients, but not for 2,4-D.

And thousands more exceptions, actually allowing 2,4-D, have been granted to professional lawn care businesses & golf courses.

The use of these inconsistent & unfair exceptions has demonstrated that prohibition is a dismal failure.

Of all pest control products, 2,4-D herbicide is the most hated by irrational pesticide-hating extremists, especially with New Brunswick’s government officials.

Actually, 2,4-D is not only among the most stringently tested pest control products, it is among the most thoroughly reviewed & re-evaluated.

In fact, 2,4-D is scientifically safe & will cause no harm when used appropriately.

Extremists falsely allege having some form of « secret evidence » proving that 2,4-D is not safe.

In fact, they have nothing but concocted stories, public paranoia & environmental terrжr   ―   these are the only weapons that extremists have against 2,4-D.

Irrational pesticide-hating extremists conveniently ignore the fact that pest control products like 2,4-D are Health-Canada-approved, federally-legal, scientifically-safe, practically-non-toxic, & will cause no harm to human health & the environment.

Extremists also conveniently ignore the expertise of any leading authority on matters concerning pest control products.

They even ignore the fact that the Quebec government acknowledged that   —    «  …  products containing 2,4-D do not pose an unacceptable risk to human health or the environment  » .

It must not be forgotten that Quebec is infamous for its harmful pesticide ban.

However, New Brunswick’s so-called cosmetic pesticide protections are already provided by Health Canada.

New Brunswick’s prohibition was not necessary.

Summary

VICTORY      New Canaan has resumed using conventional pesticides.

Officials in New Canaan reversed the existing municipal prohibition, & decided to allow conventional pest control applications because it arbitrarily suited government officials.

These officials had concluded that the use of no-risk conventional pest control products on sports fields had a positive effect on their quality, playability, & safety.

Continuing to use conventional pest control products on sports fields would be healthier & safer for players.

Sports fields that do not receive treatments of conventional pest control products will have harder surfaces, & predictably, they are more likely to cause player injuries like concussions.

By prohibiting conventional pest control products, sports fields in New Canaan had become pest-infested & dangerous garbage dumps because it was impossible to control invasive weeds & destructive insects by using organic pesticide-free maintenance with Integrated Pest Management ( IPM ) doctrines that include green alternatives pesticides.

IPM is considered as a failed, futile, & ineffective doctrine for the maintenance of turfgrass.

Green alternative pesticides are phony, inferior, ineffective, unaffordable, & will not work.

IPM using alternatives will not control infestations of recurring invasive weeds & destructive insects.

New Canaan’s use of IPM was politically-correct rubbish, & its prohibition was a dismal failure.

Summary

VICTORY      Newfoundland & Labrador has allowed conventional pest control applications.

Limited provincial prohibition was imposed, specifically against 2,4-D, mecoprop, dicamba, MCPA, & carbaryl.

Thousands of exceptions, actually allowing 2,4-D, have been granted to to commercial applicators, golf courses, & road-side sprayers.

The use of these inconsistent & unfair exceptions has demonstrated that prohibition is a dismal failure.

No one in Newfoundland & Labrador wants prohibitions that, elsewhere, have already created catastrophic ecological carnage of uncontrolled, invasive, & destructive pests.

Without conventional pest control products, green spaces & hard-landscapes become pest-infested & dangerous garbage dumps because it is impossible to control invasive weeds & destructive insects by relying on phony, inferior, ineffective, & unaffordable green alternative pesticides.

However, there is only a very small minority of irrational pesticide-hating extremists who demand prohibition in Newfoundland & Labrador.

Their choice of life-style, with prohibition, is a clear preference to live in an urban environment that looks like a pest-infested garbage dump.

Of all pest control products, 2,4-D herbicide is the most hated by irrational pesticide-hating extremists, especially with Newfoundland & Labrador’s government officials.

They recklessly deny & undermine the expert assessments by Health Canada which demonstrate that pest control products are scientifically-safe & will cause no harm when used properly.

Actually, 2,4-D is not only among the most stringently tested pest control products, it is also among the most thoroughly reviewed & re-evaluated.

Summary

VICTORY      Ogunquit has allowed conventional pest control applications.

Residents temporarily defeated a proposal to prohibit pest control products used in the urban landscape, signaling a failure of anti-pesticide activists to make the community the first in the state of Maine to arbitrarily impose prohibition.

Do Ogunquit residents want to live in #@!!% dangerous & pest-infested garbage dumps ?!?!

Residents eventually voted in favour of prohibiting against the use of pest control products used in the urban landscape throughout Ogunquit.

However, that vote was voided because town officials forgot to check with the Maine Board of Pesticides Control prior to the vote, as required by law.

The state of Maine deemed this prohibition as illegal.

An Ogunquit pesticide ban would make its green spaces look so #@!!% ugly, just like other prohibition-jurisdictions.

Without conventional pest control products, residents would have to get used to green spaces that became pest-infested & dangerous garbage dumps.

Organic pesticide-free maintenance does not work.

It would be impossible for Ogunquit residents to protect their properties by using green alternative pesticides & practices.

Victory Against Prohibition In Ontario

Prohibition Is Limited
~

VICTORY      Ontario has allowed conventional pest control applications.

Ontario’s provincial prohibition is the most radical & the most harmful prohibition ever.

Nonetheless, the province’s limited prohibition has arbitrarily allowed exceptions for pest control products used in         Agriculture      Cemeteries      Golf courses      Playing fields

These exceptions exist even though these areas are maintained by applying the-very-same ingredients otherwise prohibited on public green spaces & residential properties.

Golf courses have also benefited from an exception status, but must meet certain conditions to minimize the supposed effects on the environment.

Evidently, Ontario will allow conventional pest control applications whenever it arbitrarily suits government officials.

Pesticides are also allowed for health & safety reasons, such as controlling mosquitoes that can carry diseases like the West Nile virus.

Ontario eventually amended its pesticide classification to harmonize with the federal government’s existing classes.

~

Failures Of Prohibition In Ontario

No One Wants This #@!!% Ban Nonsense
~

FAILURES      Ontario’s prohibition has led to catastrophic carnage.

All prohibitions are known to be failures in all Canadian jurisdictions, including Ontario.

Ontario’s prohibition has led to horrendous & catastrophic ecological carnage, in the form of invasive weeds & destructive insects.

After 10 years of experiencing harmful-prohibitions in Ontario, all urban landscapes have become pest-infested, low-quality, & dangerous playing surfaces that look like garbage dumps.

This is because organic pesticide-free maintenance relies on phony, inferior, ineffective, & unaffordable green alternative pesticides.

The province of Ontario is known as « the dandelion province » since its urban landscape had become invaded with dandelions because the safest & most effective herbicides for controlling this broad-leaved weed were arbitrarily prohibited.

Dandelions became the dominant ground cover for lawns, parks, schools, & sports fields throughout Ontario.

Every front yard has become uglier, thanks to Ontario’s prohibition.

They look like crжp.

Because of harmful-prohibition in Ontario, the professional lawn care industry lost over 500,000,000-dollars, with over to 12,500 unemployed.

Prohibition led to horrendous & catastrophic financial carnage, in the form of immense losses of revenues, business failures, bankruptcy, & unemployment.

No one in Ontario wants this #@!!% ban nonsense.

Victory Against Prohibition In Ontario

The Wynne Support For Neonicotinoids
~

VICTORY      Ontario did not originally ban neonics.

Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne temporarily stopped a proposal for a province-wide prohibition against neonicotinoids because she believed that this was a federal initiative, & not provincial.

In fact, there is no bee crisis because of insecticides.

Honeybee colonies & production are actually growing & thriving in Canada, in America, & around the world.

~
~

Victory Against Prohibition In Ontario

Exceptions For Neonicotinoids
~

VICTORY      Ontario currently restricts neonics, but provides exceptions for agriculture, playing fields, & golf courses.

Ontario maintained restrictions ( i.e. prohibitions ) on the sale & use of neonicotinoid insecticides ( NNI ).

Ontario will continue to be extremely biased & highly prejudicial since agriculture, playing fields, & golf courses will continue to enjoy pesticide ban exception statuses for neonicotinoids, but not lawn care uses in the urban landscape.

Exceptions are necessary because organic pesticide-free maintenance relies on phony, inferior, ineffective, & unaffordable green alternative pesticides.

For the use of neonicotinoids by the agriculture industry, a pest assessment report would only need to be completed once by a professional pest advisor, as opposed to being required to be completed every one to three years, depending on the type of inspection forming the basis for the report.

Ontario will allow conventional pest control applications whenever it arbitrarily suits government officials.

Failure With Neonicotinoids In Ontario

Ontario’s Pest Advisors
~

FAILURE      Pest advisors refuse to help the agriculture industry.

Pest advisors are unmotivated & unwilling to perform neonicotinoid pest assessments that would circumvent anti-neonicotinoid prohibition, & help the agriculture industry.

They are conspiring with the Liberal Party agenda against neonicotinoid insecticides.

Pest advisors & their trade association have become propaganda shields in the conspiracy to prohibit against neonicotinoid insecticides that are desperately-needed by the agriculture industry.
