Pesticide-Hating Doctrine & Science-Denying Fanatжcism

~

In the 9|11 era of irrational extremists, the turf industry has faced a pesticide-hating doctrine & science-denying fanatжcism, with terrжr that never ends & carnage that leads to catastrophic prohibition against no-risk conventional pest control products.

Anti-pesticide prohibition unleashed a catastrophic carnage of unemployment, bankruptcy, & business failure   ―   prohibition destroyed the professional lawn care industry.

Prohibiting conventional products has inflicted catastrophic ecological carnage of urban landscapes, where playing surfaces become garbage dumps over-run with uncontrolled invasive weeds & destructive insects   ―    pesticide bans have never made our green spaces look so #@!! % ugly.

Green alternative pesticides are responsible for the catastrophic ecological carnage of urban landscapes   ―   organic pesticide-free maintenance has been a failure because it is medieval & ineffective.

After the imposition of prohibitions, municipalities & residents endure catastrophic financial carnage in the form of stunningly exorbitant costs of maintenance   ―    who can afford this #@!! % ban nonsense ?!?!

Irrational pesticide-hating extremists have been despicably exploiting children as weapons of coercion in order to manipulate the public on the supposed necessity of prohibition, when, in fact, the use of no-risk conventional products would actually prevent children from falling & hurting themselves on playing surfaces   ―   kids are at high risk because dangerous playing surfaces are created by #@!! % pesticide bans.

The owners, employees, & families dependent on professional lawn care businesses have been vulnerable to the pure pesticide-hatred of extremists since the 1980s.

And all others in the turf industry, including golf, are considered just as vulnerable   ―   there are critical issues that must be addressed by the golf industry.

And now golf courses too are facing pesticide-hating terrжr that never ends.

Nevertheless, the turf industry has been striking back & taking action against extremists.

The turf industry has scored tremendous victories against irrational pesticide-hating extremists while establishing real trends against pesticide bans.

Failures Of Pesticide-Hating Bans

~

There are continental trends ( i.e. throughout North America ) against the conspiracy to impose harmful-prohibitions against no-risk conventional pest control products needed to protect the urban landscape.

The failures of pesticide-hating bans are not only part of trends, but they also represent victories against these prohibitions.

Prohibitions will be failures since it is impossible to keep turfgrass surfaces well-maintained, safe, & attractive without conventional products.

Without these products, playing surfaces will be destroyed quickly   ―   they become thin & yellow, invaded by weeds & infested with insects.

As a consequence of the failures of pesticide-hating bans, many jurisdictions have   —

•   Defeated prohibitions   •   Discarded prohibitions   •   Ended prohibitions   •   Rescinded prohibitions   •   Reversed prohibitions   •   or Stopped prohibitions

Failures To Invoke Total Pesticide-Hating Bans

~

All prohibitions are pesticide-hating bans that can never be based upon science.

They are based upon pure pesticide-hatred by irrational pesticide-hating extremists.

If prohibitions were based upon science, then there would nothing but total bans.

However, there are nothing but failures when attempts are made to invoke total bans.

The failures to invoke total pesticide-hating bans represent victories against the conspiracy to impose harmful-prohibitions against no-risk conventional pest control products needed to protect the urban landscape.

The failures to invoke total bans will inevitably lead to more limited prohibitions.

Limited prohibitions are viewed as stepping-stones towards total bans.

Contradictory Prohibitions

~

Overall, there are no successful total bans, only contradictory ones.

Contradictory prohibitions are contradictory by nature since there is always a failure to justify bans that are based upon pure pesticide-hatred.

Their imposition implies that that certain pesticide uses are somehow safer than others, a notion that cannot defended by science.

Nonetheless, even contradictory prohibitions represent victories, of sorts, against the conspiracy to impose harmful-prohibitions.

Failures To Justify Pesticide-Hating Bans

~

Government officials will always fail to justify pesticide-hating bans because their motivation is pure pesticide-hatred.

In the long term, these officials will fail to get main-stream support for their pesticide-hating bans.

The best they can do is impose contradictory prohibitions.

While imposing their contradictory prohibitions   —   banning some pesticide uses but not others through arbitrary exceptions   —   officials cannot stop the public from realizing that deliberate mis-information & propaganda will be concocted about the imaginary danger of conventional pest control products.

This explains why officials fail to justify pesticide-hating bans which represent victories, of sorts, against the conspiracy to impose harmful-prohibitions.

Partial Prohibitions On Municipal-Owned Properties Only

~

The simplest contradictory prohibitions are those that are partial & self-imposed on municipal-owned properties only.

Partial prohibitions will not be imposed on any other type of turfgrass, such as home lawns.

Partial prohibitions will not adversely affect lawn care businesses, & represent victories, of sorts, against the conspiracy to impose harmful-prohibitions.

Limited Prohibitions

~

The failure to invoke total bans will inevitably lead to more limited prohibitions, which will be considered as victories, of sorts, against the conspiracy to impose harmful-prohibitions.

The more complex contradictory prohibitions are those that are limited to one specific type of turfgrass or hard surface & / or one specific type of business   ―   ex : residential home lawns & / or professional lawn care businesses, which represent less than 2 per cent of all pesticide use.

Limited prohibitions are discriminatory & unfair since they will rely heavily upon arbitrary exceptions.

Arbitrary exceptions have represented the best examples of the failures & the ridiculousness of the limited prohibitions against conventional pest control products used to protect the urban landscape.

A government will allow conventional pest control applications whenever it arbitrarily suits its officials.

Arbitrary Exceptions

~

Arbitrary exceptions have represented the best examples of the failures & the ridiculousness of anti-pesticide prohibition.

While concocting their arbitrary exceptions   —   prohibiting some uses but not others   —   officials cannot stop the public from realizing that a large quantity of deliberate mis-information & propaganda has been spread about the imaginary danger of conventional pest control products.

When prohibitions allow arbitrary exceptions, they will be considered as victories, of sorts, against the conspiracy to impose harmful-prohibitions.

These arbitrary exceptions have been conveniently incorporated into by-laws & regulations in order to allow government officials to circumvent their own prohibitions.

Most of the time, arbitrary exceptions are necessary for invasive weeds & destructive insects that must be controlled every single year in order to protect the urban environment.

There should not be any #@!! % arbitrary exceptions whatsoever !

Exceptions will allow a government to use conventional pest control applications whenever it arbitrarily suits its officials.

Arbitrary exceptions have allowed thousands & thousands of inconsistent & unfair pesticide applications, for many reasons & excuses, including those examples of arbitrary exceptions listed below  ―

Predatory-Permits

In some jurisdictions, these arbitrary exceptions have even allowed the sale of predatory-permits, which will be considered as victories, of sorts, against the conspiracy to impose harmful-prohibitions.

Predatory-permits grants municipalities the power to legally extort untold thousands of dollars in unjustified profits.

Justifying Pesticides & Protecting The Public

~

The work of Health Canada ensures victories against the conspiracy to impose harmful-prohibitions against no-risk conventional pest control products needed to protect the urban landscape.

Health Canada has stated that it is confident that the pest control products that it registers for use in Canada can be used safely by following the Approved Pesticide Product Labels.

Incident Reports are monitored by Health Canada to identify any potential risks to health or the environment from the use of pest control products & to take corrective actions when necessary.

The more serious individual Incident Reports may lead to an official evaluation & action.

Health Canada helps protect the public by researching, assessing, & collaborating in the management of the health risks & safety hazards associated with the many consumer products that are used every day.

It employs over 350 doctorate-level experts & leading scientific experts on pest control products.

Health Canada, & not the irrational pesticide-hating extremists, has the essential expertise & ultimate credibility on pest control products.

Health Canada approves the instruction & safety precautions that appear on the Approved Pesticide Product Labels, which are designed to protect human health & the environment.

Human health is not at risk from pest control products because of Re-Entry Intervals established by Health Canada.

Re-Entry Intervals are necessary to ensure that any pest control product residues on the treated turfgrass surfaces do not pose an unacceptable risk to human health.

These intervals reflect the amount of time required for no-risk pest control product levels to dissipate to a level that is well below any point of concern.

Typically, for all pest control products used for lawn care maintenance, the Approved Pesticide Product Labels state   —   « keep people off treated area until foliage is dry ».

Finally, given that cancer is the number 2 leading cause of death, there is a good chance that you are going to die of cancer no matter what you do.

By contrast, no-risk pest control products are nowhere near a leading cause of cancer-death, & there is no chance that they will make you die of cancer.

Pesticides causing cancer is a myth.

So chill-out & have a drink, & forget about prohibiting no-risk pest control products.

Continental Trends & More  –  List Of Examples

~

There are continental trends ( i.e. throughout North America ) against the conspiracy to impose prohibitions & regulations against no-risk pest control products that are need to protect the urban landscape.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to keep turfgrass surfaces well-maintained, safe, & attractive without conventional pest control products.

Without these products, playing surfaces will be destroyed quickly   ―   they become thin & yellow, invaded by weeds & infested with insects.

Since officials will fail to get main-stream support for their pesticide-hating bans, there are continental trends against their conspiracy to impose prohibition.

There are over 70 jurisdictions that have stopped or rescinded or limited or have begun to repeal their harmful-prohibitions, or have granted commercial businesses with an exception status, or have provided thousands & thousands of exceptions.

These continental trends may also include contradictory prohibitions, which still represent victories, of sorts, because of their inherent failure to invoke total pesticide-hating bans.

The victories below demonstrate the continental trends against the conspiracy of pesticide-hating prohibitions.

VICTORY   —   City officials violated Madison’s own existing municipal prohibition.

Madison’s use of pesticides has been described as schizophrenic since it has violated its own anti-pesticide policy because it arbitrarily suits government officials.

Madison has continued to use hundreds of gallons of pesticides, such as glyphosate, 2,4-D, & several others, on athletic fields & other city lands   ―   because organic pesticide-free maintenance with green alternatives were dismal failures & did not work.

VICTORIES   —   Municipalities, particularly along the coast, have been developing harmful-prohibitions under the false-pretexts of protecting their residents from the supposed threat of harm of pest control products.

The audacity & hypocrisy of Maine’s municipal officials is clearly evident with exceptions that they have conveniently inserted into their prohibitions / ordinances.

In contradiction to the political-precepts & pesticide-hating doctrines of these prohibitions, these municipalities have allowed tens of thousands of inconsistent & unfair exceptions, including  —

•   Agriculture   •   Golf courses   •   Green alternative pesticides   •   Nurseries   •   Repellents   •   Rodenticides   •   Sports fields   •   Timber harvesting   •   & More

Moreover, some municipalities have maliciously prevented residents & businesses from using pest control products without first extorting them to pay for predatory-permits.

Municipal prohibitions are expected to be stopped by the state government.

VICTORY   —   Manitoba has reversed its existing provincial prohibition by allowing the use of any pesticide that is approved by Health Canada.

Prohibition was wrongly justified with exaggerations that a single application of Fiesta herbicide, an inferior green alternative herbicide, would successfully replace conventional products such as Killex & Par III.

Unfortunately, it became impossible to keep Manitoba’s urban environment well-maintained, safe, & attractive by using pesticide-free programs consisting of alternative pesticides & practices only.

Green alternative pesticides will never, ever, work   ―   & an entire province, Manitoba, has said so.

Despite having adopted pesticide-free maintenance for its parks, Montgomery County defiantly allows inconsistent & unfair exceptions for county-owned properties in order to avoid catastrophic ecological pest disasters   ―   officials admit the county cannot, ever, be pesticide-free.

Montgomery County’s green spaces inevitably needed to be treated with safe & effective conventional pest control products, otherwise, they would become pest-infested & dangerous garbage dumps.

Not surprisingly, an unfair & inconsistent exception status by Montgomery County has allowed the use conventional pest control products despite its claims of pesticide-free green spaces.

Officials knew full well that their prohibition could not protect the county-owned properties from invasive weeds & damaging insects.

Additionally, Montgomery County’s use of the failed, futile, & ineffective Integrated Pest Management ( IPM ) doctrine is rubbish because it cannot control damaging pest populations to an acceptable level in established turf.

VICTORY   —   Ontario’s provincial prohibition is the most radical & the most harmful prohibition ever.

Nonetheless, the province’s limited prohibition has arbitrarily allowed exceptions for pest control products used in   —   •   Agriculture   •   Cemeteries   •   Golf courses   •   Playing fields

These exceptions exist even though these areas are maintained by applying the-very-same ingredients otherwise prohibited on public green spaces & residential properties.

Evidently, Ontario will allow conventional pest control applications whenever it arbitrarily suits government officials.

Ontario’s prohibition has led to horrendous & catastrophic ecological carnage, in the form of invasive weeds & destructive insects.

This is because organic pesticide-free maintenance relies on phony, inferior, ineffective, & unaffordable green alternative pesticides.

No one in Ontario wants this #@!! % ban nonsense with an urban environment that looks like a garbage dump.

~

VICTORY   —   The ill-fated Chudleigh Bill 88 would have amended the Ontario provincial prohibition to allow professional lawn care businesses to apply some currently-banned products to lawns & gardens.

Later, the government amended the use of pesticides in Ontario, under the Pesticides Act.

The provincial cosmetic pesticides ban ( i.e. prohibition ) will not be rescinded.

However, in a victory of sorts, cemeteries have been added to the list of current unfair exceptions, which also includes agriculture, playing fields, & golf courses.

Additionally, Ontario continues to restrict neonicotinoid insecticides, but provides exceptions for agriculture, playing fields, & golf courses.

Ontario will allow conventional pest control applications whenever it arbitrarily suits government officials.

Ontario now harmonizes its pesticides classes with the federal government’s existing categories.

VICTORY   —   Hosting a national level sporting event has allowed Ottawa to qualify for an exception status from the province of Ontario’s pesticide ban.

The provincial government has allowed conventional pest control applications in Ottawa.

A one-time pesticide application of Par III Turf Herbicide Solution ( 2,4-D, mecoprop, dicamba ) was used to control broad-leaved weeds, & Merit 0.5 G Insecticide was used to control white grubs.

VICTORY   —   Municipal officials nixed & rescinded its existing harmful-prohibition, & reverted back to using no-risk conventional herbicides, like Roundup, on ball diamonds & hard surface areas.

Prohibition was a failure because of phony, inferior, ineffective, & unaffordable green alternative pesticides & practices, such as Fiesta herbicide, manual weed picking, propane blow-torches, & vinegar acid.

Officials have used Fiesta herbicide as an example of the catastrophic financial carnage of organic pesticide-free maintenance.

Port Alberni would have to spend 32,000-dollars to apply four applications of Fiesta herbicide on city playing fields every year.

City of Portage La Prairie, Manitoba

Failure To Get Support For Pesticide-Hating Ban

Portage La Prairie’s Municipal Government
Has Opposed Manitoba’s Provincial Prohibition

~

VICTORY   —   Portage La Prairie’s politicians strongly & publicly opposed the provincial prohibition.

This is because organic pesticide-free maintenance has not been proven as effective as conventional pesticides, & city councillors were concerned that such a prohibition was going to cost more money & could be the cause of more problems.

With the politicians’ refusal to support Manitoba’s pesticide-hating ban, any proposed prohibition in Portage La Prairie will most surely fail.

Failure To Invoke Total Pesticide-Hating Ban

Limited Municipal Prohibition Imposed

Exception Status Granted For City-Owned

Manual Weed Picking & Green Alternatives Ineffective

~

VICTORY   —   Portland has allowed conventional pest control applications.

City council had approved a reckless & arbitrary prohibition against the use of no-risk conventional pest control products used in the urban landscape.

Portland’s prohibition, & its reliance on inferior green alternatives, caused catastrophic ecological carnage with uncontrollable pest problems that led to the imminent degradation of urban green spaces.

Not surprisingly, Portland’s prohibition has allowed inconsistent & unfair exceptions for city-owned sports fields, parks, & a municipal golf course.

On city-owned properties, Portland’s prohibition cost an exorbitant 700,000-dollars for organic pesticide-free maintenance, to replace the sports field turf because of uncontrollable & destructive pest infestations, & 30,000-dollars per year for additional staff time for manual weed picking & expensive green alternative pesticides that did not work.

Province of Quebec

Failure To Invoke Total Pesticide-Hating Ban

Limited Provincial Prohibition Was Imposed,
Especially Against 2,4-D

Several Active Ingredients Have Been Permitted

Existing Prohibition Was Morally Invalidated
& Defeated By Legal Settlement

~

VICTORY   —   Quebec is infamous for its harmful pesticide ban despite the fact it became morally invalidated.

It is a little-known fact that Quebec’s limited provincial prohibition has allowed thousands of inconsistent & unfair exceptions for the several other active ingredients, but not for 2,4-D.

However, Quebec’s prohibition has been extremely-biased & highly-prejudicial against lawn care businesses & home-owners that have been provided with no exception status whatsoever.

Historically, Quebec had imposed the first-ever provincial ( i.e. state ) & limited prohibition against no-risk conventional pest control products used in the urban landscape, & specifically against 2,4-D.

Nonetheless, 2,4-D herbicide has been allowed by Quebec’s prohibition for golf courses & agriculture operations, which were provided with thousands & thousands of exceptions despite using the very same ingredients that were arbitrarily prohibited from lawn care use.

Quebec officially acknowledged that   —   «  …  products containing 2,4-D do not pose an unacceptable risk to human health or the environment  ».

Moreover, Dow AgroSciences, the manufacturer of the herbicide 2,4-D, defeated the NAFTA Challenge case with the Canadian government.

Consequently, Quebec’s prohibition again became morally invalidated because of this defeat.

VICTORY   —   Saanich’s municipal officials will circumvent their own limited prohibition.

Saanich’s prohibition has allowed thousands & thousands of inconsistent & unfair exceptions for public land & hundreds & hundreds of predatory-permits.

Saanich has allowed the use of conventional pest control products on district-owned properties & landscapes, like public land & hard landscapes, that are infested with invasive weeds & destructive insects, which must be controlled annually in order for playing & transportation surfaces to remain safe & attractive.

Examples of Saanich’s public land include   —   •   Baseball / softball / fastball fields   •   Football fields   •   Lawn bowling green   •   Municipal golf course   •   Neighbourhood parks   •   Open green spaces   •   Picnic areas   •   Playgrounds   •   Soccer fields   •   Tennis courts  •   Urban forests   •   Walking trails   •   & More

These businesses have been able to conduct business in an unobstructed manner & to use Health-Canada-approved products.

For city-owned properties, conventional products had to be reinstated because Salmon Arm’s officials admitted, after years of failures, that green alternative pesticides & practices did not work   ―   all because of a fanatжcal-prohibition that was recklessly imposed.

Summer-students were exploited for manual weed picking, which involved work that was back-breaking & labour-intensive, just like cotton-picking.

But manual weed picking was a huge dismal failure   ―   the weeds prevailed & eventually wrecked Salmon Arm’s surface infra-structures, such as streets & sidewalks.

Failure To Justify Pesticide-Hating Ban

Proposed Residential Pesticide Ban Scrapped

Manual Weed Picking Was A Dismal Failure

Failed, Futile, & Ineffective Integrated Pest
Management ( IPM ) & Pesticide-Free Doctrines

~

VICTORY   —   Vernon’s proposed residential ban was scrapped.

Vernon residents have continued to be allowed to use pesticides to control weeds on their own property.

However, city council agreed to reduce so-called cosmetic pesticide applications on city-owned properties.

The problem of weeds surfaced after Coldstream, a part of Greater Vernon, self-imposed prohibition against no-risk conventional herbicides.

Without the use of these products, municipal employees had to resort to the back-breaking, agonizing, & humiliating job of weed pulling by hand using hoes.

While weed-picking was used initially to control weeds, clearly no professionally-trained municipal employee wanted to continue with this form of manual labour.

Organic pesticide-free maintenance with manual weed picking was a dismal failure.

Switching from chemicals to Integrated Pest Management ( IPM ) would be expensive.

For example, weed control at Lakeview Park, which costs about 50-dollars per year, with conventional products, was expected to soar to 9,000-dollars.

IPM will not control, effectively & economically, infestations of recurring invasive weeds & destructive insects.

About the Author

WE SPEAK THE WHOLE TRUTH ABOUT FROM AN INDEPENDENT PERSPECTIVE ! We are the National Organization Responding Against HUJE that conspire to destroy the Green space and other industries ( NORAHG ). As a non-profit and independent organization, we are environmentalists who are dedicated to reporting about truth-challenged pesticide-hating fanatжcs ( HUJE ) who conspire to destroy businesses that are dependent on the use of safe and effective conventional pest control products. We also report on the work of several highly-rated leading experts who have recognized expertise, training, and background in matters concerning pest control products, and who promote environmental realism and pesticide truths. http://wp.me/p1jq40-8DV NORAHG is the sworn enemy of lying, pompous, smug, uneducated, & pesticide-hating enviro-fanatжcs. Overwhelming scientific evidence clearly demonstrates that pest control products are scientifically-safe, and will not cause harm to children, adults, animals, or the environment. http://wp.me/p1jq40-7HR http://wp.me/P1jq40-2ha http://wp.me/p1jq40-6Q6 http://wp.me/p1jq40-5ni Not surprisingly, enviro-fanatжcs have demonstrated that they are incapable of processing overwhelming scientific evidence. Should we trust these fanatжcs, who conveniently ignore scientific evidence, and attempt to impose their politicized-doctrines and twisted life-style choices against our society ?!?! NORAHG was the brainchild of Mr William H Gathercole and his colleagues in 1991. Mr Gathercole is now retired, although his name continues to appear as founder. We dare to defy the pesticide-hating fanatжcs by exploring the whole truth from an independent perspective on The Pesticide Truths Web-Site ... https://pesticidetruths.com/ With a Conservative victory in the 2019 Canadian Federal Election, there will be NO NATIONAL PROHIBITION against pest control products. √ - Vote For Scheer’s Conservatives http://wp.me/p1jq40-ahq If you wish to receive free reports on issues that concern you, please contact us at ... force.of.de.nature@gmail.com WILLIAM H GATHERCOLE AND NORAH G
