ASHLAND — The Board of Health will hold a public hearing tonight on proposed regulations to curb the use of potentially dangerous pesticides on town-owned fields.
Health Director Mark Oram said the board will look for public comment on the proposed Organic Pest Management Regulations. The rules propose only using organic pesticides on municipal fields.
Oram said school-owned fields are already not treated with toxic pesticides but some other town fields are.
The Board of Health meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:45 p.m. in the Selectmen Meeting Room at Town Hall and the hearing is slated to start at 7 p.m
