Summary
Edmonton’s Maintenance
Of Playing Surfaces
Please Give The City
Conventional Herbicides That Work
The city of Edmonton has FAILED in its practical management of green space environments, including PLAYING SURFACES like sports fields.
It has FAILED against the attack of the dandelions.
Because of the acts of subversion by fanatжcal-activists against ANY conventional spray program, Edmonton neighborhoods have been jeopardized with ecological disasters from invasive and dangerous weeds like dandelions.
Since 2015, Edmonton self-imposed its PROHIBITION against conventional herbicide usage on city-owned properties, and, instead, it decided to rely upon Fiesta, an INFERIOR green alternative herbicide.
Unfortunately, it is IMPOSSIBLE to keep PLAYING SURFACES well-maintained, safe, & attractive without conventional pest control products.
Finally, the city announced that it has CEASED the use of the INFERIOR-Fiesta green alternative herbicide to control dandelions that have invaded, choked, & destroyed community PLAYING SURFACES.
–
According to Edmonton’s web-site ―
–
The City WILL NO LONGER USE iron chelate [ a.k.a. Fiesta ] on sports fields.
–
Conventional herbicides will be used responsibly to manage dandelion spread to keep the fields usable and safe.
–
Conventional herbicides are JUST AS EFFECTIVE [ ?!?! ] as iron chelate and are MORE FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE [ !!!! ].
Getting rid of Fiesta proves that Edmonton’s self-imposed PROHIBITION against conventional weed control products was a DISMAL FAILURE.
Fiesta has been almost-TOTALLY-INEFFECTIVE, as well as higher-risk, inadequate, inferior, more toxic, overwhelmingly condemned, & STUNNINGLY EXPENSIVE.
Additionally, Edmonton can no longer afford the INFERIOR-Fiesta weed management program, which has burdened the city with a STUNNING COST of 3,000,000-dollars per year.
By relying on the INFERIOR-Fiesta, Edmonton did not have an effective weed control program for PLAYING SURFACES, & weeds became a DANGEROUS TRIPPING HAZARD for younger players who lack co-ordination.
That’s a SAFETY HAZARD that Edmonton wants to address.
Children need WEED-FREE PLAYING SURFACES to avoid falling & hurting themselves.
Consequently, municipal employees have returned to using conventional, no-risk, safe, & effective weed control products.
Conventional herbicides can be used responsibly to keep PLAYING SURFACES usable, safe, & pest-free ― ONLY the use of conventional herbicides has been shown to be EFFECTIVE.
In Edmonton, the vast majority of residents complain about too many dandelions, and NOT about the use of conventional products that will control them.
Conventional weed control products … • dry quickly • do not have a strong odour • do not leave a chemical residue on the grass • pose negligible risks to health and environmental • following the application, weed leaves will not only die but so will the roots • the weed leaves are safe to touch when dry • will not impact turfgrass growth.
Please give Edmonton conventional herbicides that work.
Conventional weed control products used on PLAYING SURFACES will cause NO harm because they are government-approved, federally-legal, scientifically-safe, & practically-non-toxic.

The Failure Of Edmonton’s Self-Imposed Pesticide Ban On City-Owned Properties
Ceasing The Use Of Fiesta Herbicide
Edmonton Will Resume The Use Of Conventional
Herbicides That Are No-Risk, Safe, & Effective
Good God, the city must think Edmontonians have really short memories.
Just three weeks earlier, the city announced it was CEASING THE USE OF IRON CHELATE PRODUCT [ a.k.a. the INFERIOR-Fiesta green alternative herbicide ] to control dandelions that choke community sports fields.
Instead, city crews would be MOWING GRASS MORE OFTEN and, perhaps, SPRAYING A LITTLE OLD-FASHIONED PESTICIDE [ i.e. conventional, no-risk, safe, & effective herbicide ] from time to time.
That was exactly three weeks earlier.

But drive by any sports field, city park, green space, or traffic island, and it is COVERED BY GLOWING YELLOW WEEDS [ i.e. looks like a weed-infested garbage dump ].
Of course, these little [ dandelion ] flowers will soon turn to seed and blow all over every lawn in the city.
THE CITY OF EDMONTON DOES NOT CARE ― IT HATES YOUR LAWN ANYWAY.
Clearly the city did not think we would remember a PLEDGE from so long ago ― i.e. May 14th, 2020.
―――――――――――――――――――――――――――
The Failure Of Edmonton’s Self-Imposed Pesticide Ban On City-Owned Properties
Lack Of Money For Urban Green Spaces
Edmonton Can No Longer Afford The Stunningly
Exorbitant Costs Of Fiesta Green Alternative Herbicide
To add insult to weedy injury, on May 2nd, 2020, our esteemed Mayor Don Iveson claimed the city was unable to swath this botanical infestation because it LACKED THE MONEY.
[ No one can afford the stunningly exorbitant costs of INFERIOR-Fiesta green alternative herbicide. ]
NOT ENOUGH CASH in the budget to follow through with the extra mowing promised just 21 days ago.
Still, that would have been understandable.
The city is in a bit of a CASH CRUNCH.
The [ Chinese Coronavirus ] pandemic has really cut into its revenues, at least temporarily.
Property tax payments have been deferred by a couple of months.
Money coming into city coffers is WAY DOWN ― for a while.
―――――――――――――――――――――――――――
The Failure Of Edmonton’s Self-Imposed Pesticide Ban On City-Owned Properties
Lots Of Money For Eco-Schemes
Seeing Dandelion Yellow Over Edmonton’s Expensive
& Unnecessary Eco-Schemes Like Electric Bikes
Edmonton Prefers Poorly-Maintained Lawns
& Will Prioritize Expensive & Unnecessary
Lunatжc-Eco-Schemes Such As Electric Bikes
Yet, the day after pleading poverty vis-à-vis dandelions, there was Mayor Iveson announcing a rebate program for electric bikes [ i.e. an expensive & unnecessary eco-scheme ].
To « help Edmontonians electrify their transportation », the city explained, it will rebate « 30 per cent of the cost of an e-bike, to a maximum of 750-dollars ».
I have nothing against electric bikes.
I rode a bike with electric pedal assist on a mountain tour a couple years back and quite enjoyed it.
But why should any of our property-tax dollars go to paying for someone’s sophisticated, luxury gadget, especially when the city is pretending it is too impoverished to control dandelions ?!?!
E-bikes will only ever be for the privileged few.
Meanwhile, parks are for everyone.
So how come Mayor Iveson, the Great Progressive [ ?!?! ], is championing the recreation of upper-middle class citizens over the enjoyment of everybody ?!?!
Also, Mayor Iveson said the city will pay home-owners up to 600-dollars to install chargers for electric cars and businesses up to 2,000-dollars to install five e-car chargers.
And 4,000-dollars if you want to bolt solar panels to your home’s roof.
It’s not just that dandelions are annoying.
The long grass is also breeding ground for mosquitoes.
But maybe that’s why Mayor Iveson wants to buy us all e-bikes ― so we can ride fast enough to out-run the little buzzers and at the same time not notice his POORLY-MAINTAINED PARKS.
Parks are about all most of us have to look forward to this summer.
Besides, public health officials have recommended we get outdoors to avoid the pandemic, get some exercise and maybe even restore our sanity.
Then there’s the job angle.
Would not following through on a PLEDGE to control dandelions with more mowing mean hiring back laid-off city workers ?!?!
―――――――――――――――――――――――――――
The Failure Of Edmonton’s Self-Imposed Pesticide Ban On City-Owned Properties
No Interest In Urban Green Spaces
Edmonton Has No Interest In The Practical
Management Of The Urban Environment
No Weed Control ― No Street Patching
― No Alley Up-Keep ― No Snow Removal
What Mayor Iveson and the administration are showing once again is that they have NO INTEREST in the practical management of a city ― keeping weeds down, patching streets, up-keeping alleys and, in the winter, plowing snow.
Instead, they’re mostly fixated on re-engineering the people who live here and their neighborhoods.
They love the grandiose and theoretical ― the enormous LRT projects, car-free development lands, lowered speed limits, expensive street-scaping and « walkable » neighborhoods ― but have little interest in the everyday and mundane.
Five years ago, the city even removed dandelions from its list of nuisance weeds so it would not be bound by its own rules to control them.
Please just whack the weeds and spare us all the EXPENSIVE ECO-SCHEMES.

Summary
Fiesta is a so-called green alternative herbicide that somehow replaces three-way conventional phenoxy turf herbicides, such as Killex, Par III, and others that contain the active ingredient 2,4-D.
Only the use of conventional herbicides has been shown to be effective against broad-leaved weeds ― their application are NO-RISK, SAFE, AND EFFECTIVE.
By comparison, Fiesta is INFERIOR & ALMOST-TOTALLY-INEFFECTIVE as a single-application weed control product.
Sadly, Fiesta is INFERIOR & ALMOST-TOTALLY-INEFFECTIVE when compared to single-applications of conventional products like Killex, Par III, and other so-called three-way herbicides that contain the active ingredient 2,4-D.
The vast majority of Fiesta users OVERWHELMINGLY CONDEMN IT.
In fact, quite often, observers believe it would be better to do NOTHING rather than use Fiesta Herbicide.
Fiesta Herbicide ( a.k.a. Scotts EcoSense and Weed-B-Gon ) is a primary reason for the repeated failures of provincial & municipal PROHIBITIONS imposed against conventional pest control products used in the urban landscape.
With the adoption of these RECKLESS, ARBITRARY, & DOOMED-TO-FAIL PROHIBITIONS, professionals and residents are being forced to rely on this INFERIOR green alternative herbicide.
In order to validate their PROHIBITIONS, government officials have been perpetuating the fake-news myth that a single application of Fiesta Herbicide, an INFERIOR green alternative herbicide, can successfully replace conventional products such as Killex and Par III.
This is WRONG !
In fact, Fiesta CANNOT be used to validate ANY prohibition.
Fiesta is INFERIOR !
In addition, these government officials have gone so far as to operate as PAID-FOR-PROFIT-SALESMEN for Fiesta Herbicide with UNAUTHORIZED COVERT & INSINCERE SHILLING.
Are they CORRUPT SHILLS ?!?!
Are they salesmen SHILLING for the manufacturer of Fiesta ?!?!
Are they being REMUNERATED by the manufacturer of Fiesta ?!?!
Is there Fiesta CORRUPTION in Manitoba governments ?
Do they realize that Fiesta Herbicide is an INFERIOR product and a DISMAL FAILURE ?!?!
Unfortunately, both government officials & main-stream media have failed to admit that Fiesta is INFERIOR, ALMOST-TOTALLY-INEFFECTIVE, HIGHER-RISK, INADEQUATE, MORE TOXIC, OVERWHELMINGLY CONDEMNED, AND STUNNINGLY EXPENSIVE.
Instead of admitting that #@!!% Fiesta SUCKS, they prefer living in the world of FAKE-NEWS.
Government officials & main-stream media who operate as CORRUPT SHILLS have been attempting to spread buzz by personally endorsing INFERIOR-Fiesta Herbicide in public forums under the pretense of sincerity, when in fact they are mere PAID-FOR-PROFIT-SALESMEN.
Who has authorized government officials & media-operatives to be SHILLS for INFERIOR-Fiesta Herbicide ?!?!
Examples of CORRUPT FIESTA SHILLING have already been found at both the provincial and municipal levels of government.
Why are provincial and municipal officials providing unauthorized FREE SHILLING for this commercial product ?!?!
Why are they misappropriating tax-payer’s money promoting this product ?!?!
Who is paying government officials to COVERTLY OPERATE AS UNAUTHORIZED SHILLS for INFERIOR-Fiesta Herbicide ?!?!
INFERIOR-Fiesta Herbicide is supported by wealthy and prominent environmental-terrжrist organizations.
Is there Fiesta Herbicide CORRUPTION in Manitoba governments initiated by these organizations ?!?!
Do we want to live in a society where we are exposed to A CONSPIRACY OF UNAUTHORIZED COVERT & INSINCERE PROMOTIONS by government officials who operate as SHILLS ?!?!

The Failure Of Edmonton Against The Attack Of The Dandelions
Fiesta Is Not Better Than Conventional Products
Edmonton Hopelessly Fought Back Against
The Attack Of The Dandelions In 2018
The Failed Fiesta Weed Management Program,
As Well As The Added Mowing Cycles To Merely
Reduce The Appearance Of Dandelions, Have
Burdened The City Of Edmonton With A Stunningly
Exorbitant Cost Of 3,000,000-Dollars Annually
The city of Edmonton is hoping to get ahead of the looming dandelion influx after a WALLOPING 2017 WEED SEASON by starting [ the INFERIOR-Fiesta ] herbicide application this week on 60 PER CENT of Edmonton’s sports fields.
Crews began applying the alternative herbicide iron chelate product [ a.k.a. the INFERIOR-Fiesta green alternative herbicide ] on May 14th, 2018, and are treating up to 20 fields every day, the city said.
The first round of application is set to be complete in the next few weeks, said Mr Travis Kennedy, general supervisor of open space operations.
In December 2017, city council voted to invest [ a stunningly exorbitant ] 3,000,000-DOLLARS for turf maintenance including the purchase and use of the [ INFERIOR-Fiesta ] herbicide and increased mowing cycles.
According to Mr Travis Kennedy ―
The city of Edmonton USES MOWING TO REDUCE THE APPEARANCE OF DANDELIONS.
We attempt to mow before the dandelions go to seed to help reduce the spread of the weed.
Increased mow cycles are taking place across all of the city’s open spaces ― about 4,000 hectares ― with weekly mowing running from this week until the beginning of July, Kennedy said.
The city began using the eco-herbicide [ a.k.a. the INFERIOR-Fiesta green alternative herbicide ] last summer as the weeds became unbearable.
The [ INFERIOR-Fiesta ] herbicide is a federally regulated product, Mr Kennedy said, and adheres to a number of stringent guidelines.
[ … • ALSO, these guidelines are applicable to conventional weed control products ].
According to Mr Kennedy ―
[ Fiesta ] dries quickly, does not have a strong odour, does not leave a chemical residue on the grass, and poses negligible health and environmental risks.
[ Conventional weed control products … • ALSO dry quickly • ALSO do not have a strong odour • ALSO do not leave a chemical residue on the grass, and • ALSO pose negligible risks to health and environmental. ]
Following application, Kennedy said the weeds treated [ with INFERIOR-Fiesta ] will turn a dark red colour, but are safe to touch when dry, and grass growth is not impacted.
[ Conventional weed control products … • ALSO, following the application, weed leaves will not only die but so will the roots • ALSO, the weed leaves are safe to touch when dry • ALSO, will not impact turfgrass growth. ]
High-weed density sports fields could have up to FOUR APPLICATIONS [ of the INFERIOR-Fiesta ] throughout the season, Kennedy said.
The SECOND APPLICATION [ of INFERIOR-Fiesta ] will begin at least 21 days following the initial treatment.
[ Conventional weed control products … • ALSO, will require only one or two applications per season. ]
The crews will be back on the fields in August and September for the THIRD AND FOURTH APPLICATIONS [ of INFERIOR-Fiesta ] on the treated fields.

The Failure Of Edmonton To Stop Large Weeds That Create Dangerous Tripping Hazards On City Sports Fields
Edmonton’s 48-Hour Review For Dealing With Dandelion Invasion
Without An Effective Weed Control Program
For Sports Fields, Weeds Are A Tripping Hazard
For Younger Players Who Lack Co-Ordination
On June 13th, 2017, Edmonton’s head of city operations said he is taking 48 hours to review all options in Edmonton’s battle against the dandelions.
Mr Doug Jones told city council even spraying could be an option where LARGE WEEDS ARE CREATING A TRIPPING HAZARD ON CITY SPORTS FIELDS.
But Edmonton’s [ self-imposed ] herbicide by-law does not allow spraying to be done simply for aesthetics [ on city-owned properties ].
According to Mr Doug Jones, who updated city council on what went wrong this year ―
We have to act quickly to say what are we going to do and do it fast.
If they’re small, it’s not so bad but if they really get well-ingrained and they grow, they can become a TRIPPING HAZARD on a sports field.
That’s a SAFETY HAZARD we would want to address.
They get that tough root and leaf structure.
This year [ 2017 ], Edmonton had a wet spring that initially kept its mowing equipment off the fields.
Then the weather turned hot and the weeds and grass took off.
But work really got behind after the May 24th windstorm when crews had to be pulled-off mowing duties to deal with nearly 1,000 damaged or toppled trees.
Working overtime, Jones said his staff is finally getting a handle on things again.
They expect to be back on schedule June 16th, 2017.
In the meantime, soccer parents and other Edmonton residents have been e-mailing, calling and flagging down city councilors to complain.
Dandelion seeds are blowing everywhere and on some fields, the stalks come up past the knees of the smallest soccer players.
When Mr Rob Fediuk’s 15-year-old players ran through the sports fields, « you could hear them like a horse running through a field of wheat », he said, adding he definitely thinks WEEDS ARE A SAFETY HAZARD for slightly younger players who lack the same co-ordination.
They’re running full tilt through grass, then hit dandelions up to their shins.
According to Mr Fediuk ―
It catches in your laces and you can do a face plant.
Mr Fediuk even offered to take over field maintenance, if his group, the STORM soccer program in southeast Edmonton, could be assigned a couple home fields early in the season.
But Mr Fediuk said when he called 311 before the game, he was told cutting the grass and re-doing the soccer lines without permission could be treated as vandalism.

Background Information
Children Will Not Be Harmed
Children Are Not At Risk Because
Pesticides Will Cause No Harm
Children Are Protected By Expert-
Scientists At Health Canada & US EPA.
Everyone is missing the point …
There is NOT ONE known case of harm from the proper application of diluted pest control products by qualified & licensed professionals.
This is because DILUTED products are tens of thousands of times LESS TOXIC than CONCENTRATED products.
For decades, the professional lawn care industry has advocated that using its services is significantly LESS HARMFUL for CHILDREN than do-it-yourself lawn care.
Overall, pest control products used in the urban landscape are POTENTIALLY MORE HARMFUL when the CONCENTRATED form is improperly stored in the home.
It must be recognized that when home-owners retain the services of qualified & licensed professionals, who apply only diluted products, the risk of harming children is GREATLY REDUCED.
Conversely, do-it-yourself home-owners who apply these products must store them in the home in a CONCENTRATED form.
When these products are stored improperly in the home, children are AT RISK.
It must also be noted that Health Canada, EPA, & other science-based regulatory agencies have assessed these products, in their CONCENTRATED forms, as LESS HARMFUL than ― • Aspirin • baking soda • caffeine • cannabis • nicotine • table salt • Tylenol.
Moreover, these products are NO MORE HARMFUL than ― • ethanol * • mouthwash ( i.e. Listerine ) • vitamin C.
[ * Ethanol is an edible beverage constituent in beer, wine, & other intoxicating beverages. ]
Conventional pest control products used in the urban landscape will cause NO harm because they are government-approved, federally-legal, scientifically-safe, & practically-non-toxic.
Children Are Not At Risk
EXPERT-SCIENTISTS at Health Canada & US Environmental Protection Agency ( US EPA ) EVALUATE RISKS to people.
CHILDREN are NOT at risk from pesticides because these products WILL NOT cause harm. The Risk Assessments of pest control products by Health Canada & US Environmental Protection Agency ( US EPA ) take into consideration the MORE SUSCEPTIBLE POPULATIONS, including ― • CHILDREN • infants • pregnant women • seniors • women.
Moreover, there is NOT a scintilla of credible evidence that CHILDREN have been harmed by chemicals in the environment, or that they are MORE vulnerable to such harm. CHILDREN are NOT at risk from pesticides, but are at HIGH RISK with pesticide bans.
Dandelions Are A Sign That Our Children Are In Danger
With PROHIBITIONS against conventional weed control products, PLAYING SURFACES become pest-infested & dangerous garbage dumps.
With PROHIBITIONS, the safety & appearance of PLAYING SURFACES are jeopardized with ecological disasters from uncontrolled & dangerous insects like white grubs, & from invasive & dangerous weeds like dandelions.
With weed invasions & insect infestations, safe PLAYING SURFACES & DESTROYED, & CHILDREN are at HIGH RISK of slipping & tripping & becoming seriously hurt.
Pest control products PREVENT slipping injuries on PLAYING SURFACES.
Children need PEST-FREE PLAYING SURFACES to avoid falling & hurting themselves.
–
–
–
Expect Dismal Failures
A MAJOR STUDY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA’S MUNICIPAL BY-LAWS has concluded that PROHIBITIONS against conventional pest control products have been RECKLESS, ARBITRARY, & DOOMED-TO-FAIL.
PROHIBITIONS have led to CATASTROPHIC ECOLOGICAL CARNAGE for tens of thousands of destroyed & ravaged properties every single year.
By PROHIBITING conventional pest control products, PLAYING SURFACES will become pest-infested & dangerous GARBAGE DUMPS because it is IMPOSSIBLE to control weed invasions & insect infestations by using pesticide-free ( a.k.a. organic ) maintenance practices that include INFERIOR-green alternatives.
There are NO low-risk, NO viable, NO efficacious, & NO economical alternatives to replace conventional pest control products.
There are NO alternatives that work.
Green alternative pesticides are BOGUS, INFERIOR, & DISMAL FAILURES.
NO ONE CAN AFFORD the STUNNINGLY EXORBITANT COSTS of INFERIOR green alternative pesticides like Fiesta herbicide.
CHILDREN are NOT AT RISK from conventional pesticides, but they ARE AT GREATER-RISK of exposure to green alternatives, like Fiesta herbicide, that are HIGHER-RISK & MORE TOXIC.

Background Information
Manitoba Failures & Corruption
Pesticide Ban Failures In Manitoba
Government Officials Are Covertly Shilling
Inferior-Fiesta Green Alternative Herbicide
Doomed-To-Fail
Just like Alberta, Manitoba is a province located in Western Canada.
Alberta has NEVER imposed provincial PROHIBITIONS against conventional pest control products used in the urban landscape.
By comparison, Manitoba DID impose its 2015 provincial PROHIBITION which has become POLITICALLY-CORRECT RUBBISH.
NO ONE ever wanted this #@!!% ban nonsense.
Observers expect that the government of Manitoba will INEVITABLY RESCIND ITS PROHIBITION.
This PROHIBITION is RECKLESS, ARBITRARY, & DOOMED-TO-FAIL !
Manitoba’s Pesticide Ban Failure – Health Canada
Manitoba’s 2015 provincial prohibition DEFIES HEALTH CANADA & its science-based assessments demonstrating that pest control products are scientifically-safe & will cause NO harm.
Manitoba’s Pesticide Ban Failure – Trends
Manitoba’s 2015 provincial prohibition DEFIES the TRENDS with over SIXTY jurisdictions that have STOPPED or RESCINDED or LIMITED or have begun to REPEAL prohibitions, or have granted commercial businesses with an EXCEPTION STATUS.
Manitoba’s Pesticide Ban Failure – Municipalities
Manitoba’s 2015 provincial prohibition DEFIES its MUNICIPALITIES that have stated they DO NOT WANT PROHIBITION, such as ―
• Altona
• Portage La Prairie
• Steinbach
• Stuartburn
• Winkler.
Manitoba’s Pesticide Ban Failure – Residents
Manitoba’s 2015 provincial prohibition DEFIES the MAJORITY OF RESIDENTS who DO NOT WANT prohibition, according to legitimate polls.
The ONLY people who want prohibition are a small minority of pesticide-hating fanatжcs with vested interests in concocting imaginary danger against pest control products.
Manitoba’s Pesticide Ban Failure – Ecological Carnage
Manitoba’s 2015 provincial prohibition has inflicted a CATASTROPHIC ECOLOGICAL CARNAGE of uncontrolled, invasive, & destructive weeds.
Without conventional pest control products, green spaces & hard-landscapes have become weed-infested & dangerous GARBAGE DUMPS throughout its municipalities.
Unfortunately, it is IMPOSSIBLE to keep green space environments, including PLAYING SURFACES like sports fields, well-maintained, safe, & attractive without conventional pest control products.
Manitobans are being arbitrarily forced to rely on INFERIOR & MORE HAZARDOUS green alternatives like Fiesta herbicide.
Manitoba’s Pesticide Ban Failure – Financial Carnage
Manitoba’s 2015 provincial prohibition has inflicted a CATASTROPHIC FINANCIAL CARNAGE of stunningly exorbitant costs of pesticide-free ( a.k.a. organic ) maintenance practices, involving ―
• EXPENSIVE green alternative pesticides
• EXPENSIVE manual labour for weed-picking
• EXPENSIVE re-construction of properties that have degraded into total garbage dumps.
Manitoba’s Pesticide Ban Failure – Unfair Exceptions
Manitoba’s 2015 provincial prohibition is INCONSISTENT & UNFAIR since it provides EXCEPTION STATUSES for thousands & thousands of uses against weed invasions & insect infestations ―
• UNFAIR EXCEPTIONS for forestry activities
• UNFAIR EXCEPTIONS for golf course operations
• UNFAIR EXCEPTIONS for high-risk noxious weeds & poisonous or invasive species [ on government-owned properties only ? ]
• UNFAIR EXCEPTIONS for lawn bowling, tennis, or cricket
• UNFAIR EXCEPTIONS for pest or nuisance insects
• UNFAIR EXCEPTIONS for professional or internationally used sports fields
• UNFAIR EXCEPTIONS for sod farms
• UNFAIR EXCEPTIONS for vegetable, fruit, or ornamental garden beds
• but NO EXCEPTIONS for lawn care businesses.
In order to be CONSISTENT & FAIR, there should be NO EXCEPTION STATUSES whatsoever in Manitoba.
Manitoba’s Fiesta Shilling-Corruption
CORRUPT government officials MAY be COVERTLY-SHILLING INFERIOR-Fiesta green alternative herbicide in public forums under the pretense of SINCERITY, when in fact they may be simply operating as PAID-FOR-PROFIT-SALESMEN.
Examples of Fiesta-SHILLING have been found at both the provincial & the municipal levels of government.
Why are CORRUPT provincial & municipal officials providing UNAUTHORIZED FREE PROMOTION for this commercial product ?!?!
Who is paying these officials for COVERTLY-SHILLING INFERIOR-Fiesta green alternative herbicide ?!?!
Do we want to live in a society where government officials who covertly operate as SHILLS ?!?!
INFERIOR-Fiesta is supported by wealthy & prominent environmental-terrжrist organizations.
Is there CORRUPTION of officials by these organizations ?!?!
Do we want to live in a society where we are exposed to UNAUTHORIZED, COVERT, CORRUPT, & INSINCERE SHILLING by government officials.
Manitoba’s Pesticide Ban – The End Is Near
Fortuitously, on April 19th, 2016, the Manitoba’s pesticide-hating New-Democrat government was DEFEATED by the Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba, led by Mr Brian Pallister.
This signaled the end of the 17-year New-Democrat reign of politicized anti-pesticide & environmental terrжrism !
Observers expect that the Pallister Government will INEVITABLY RESCIND Manitoba’s 2015 provincial prohibition.
And, CORRUPT provincial & municipal officials will be EXPOSED for their COVERT-SHILLING of INFERIOR-Fiesta green alternative herbicide.

Background Information
Municipal Prohibition Failures
Summary
PROHIBITIONS are POLITICALLY-CORRECT RUBBISH.
The public needs to know more about PROHIBITION FAILURES.
For example, A MAJOR STUDY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA’S MUNICIPAL BY-LAWS has concluded that PROHIBITIONS against conventional pest control products have been RECKLESS, ARBITRARY, & DOOMED-TO-FAIL PROHIBITIONS.
This is because municipal officials are now CIRCUMVENTING their own PROHIBITIONS by taking advantage of EXCEPTION STATUSES that they have COVERTLY INSERTED in their by-laws.
PROHIBITIONS have been ARBITRARILY DISCRIMINATORY against professional lawn care businesses & residential home lawns.
PROHIBITIONS have provided inconsistent & unfair EXCEPTION STATUSES for weed invasions & insect infestations ― for city-owned properties ONLY ― & NOT for lawn care businesses & residential home lawns.
In order to be consistent & fair, there should be NO EXCEPTION STATUSES whatsoever, either in British Columbia or anywhere else in North America.
Additionally, PROHIBITIONS have ANNIHILATED legitimate & tax-paying businesses that operate in the professional lawn care industry.
These businesses CANNOT AFFORD the hardship & the cost of PROHIBITIONS.
In particular, they CANNOT AFFORD the STUNNINGLY EXORBITANT COSTS of INFERIOR green alternative pesticides like Fiesta herbicide.
Once any PROHIBITION is adopted, local lawn care businesses are expected to disappear into oblivion within 2 or 3 years, & vast numbers of professional workers are expected to become unemployed.
Additionally, for those residents with the same pest problems on their home properties, they may be SHЖT-OUTTA-LUCK relying on ANY EXCEPTION from PROHIBITION.
There should be NO PROHIBITIONS that are simply RECKLESS, ARBITRARY, & DOOMED-TO-FAIL.

The REAL Trends
There Are REAL Trends Against Reckless,
Arbitrary, & Doomed-To-Fail Prohibitions
Summary
Government officials are no longer readily jumping in favour of RECKLESS, ARBITRARY, & DOOMED-TO-FAIL PROHIBITIONS.
It is clear that pesticide-hating fanatжcs conspire to impose PROHIBITIONS in order to DESTROY our urban green space environments, such as PLAYING SURFACES used by CHILDREN.
Unfortunately, it is IMPOSSIBLE to keep PLAYING SURFACES well-maintained, safe, & attractive without conventional pest control products.
Without these products, PLAYING SURFACES are DESTROYED ― they become thin & yellow, invaded by weeds, & infested with insects.
With PROHIBITIONS, the safety & appearance of PLAYING SURFACES are jeopardized with ECOLOGICAL DISASTERS from uncontrolled & dangerous insects like white grubs, & from invasive & dangerous weeds like dandelions.
With weed invasions & insect infestations, safe turf PLAYING SURFACES are DESTROYED ― CHILDREN are at HIGH-RISK of slipping & tripping & becoming seriously hurt.
In essence, pest control products prevent harm & keep CHILDREN safe from injuries.
There are over SIXTY jurisdictions that have STOPPED or RESCINDED or LIMITED or have begun to REPEAL PROHIBITIONS, or have granted commercial businesses with an EXCEPTION STATUS.

Background Information
Pesticides & Cancer
Speaking-Out Against Pesticide-Hating Fanatжcism
Pest control products WILL NOT cause harm. People are killed by REAL carcinogens, such as alcohol & cigarettes, but NOT by pesticides. Pesticides causing cancer is a MYTH. Denying that pest control products are devil products will win you few activist-friends. And, pest control products are NEVER allowed a free pass by these pesticide-hating fanatжcs. These fanatжcs operate in defiance of the indisputable & conclusive science-based research showing that, as reported through US Environmental Protection Agency’s & Health Canada’s confidential test data, NO harm will occur when pest control products are used according to their Approved Pesticide Product Labels.
The Myth Of Cancer
Contrary to what pesticide-hating fanatжcs LIE about, there are NO pest control products that are known or probable carcinogens. Pesticides causing cancer is a MYTH. PROHIBITING these products will prevent virtually NO cancer-deaths. Pest control products are nowhere near a leading cause of cancer-death, & there is NO chance that they will make you die of cancer.
Pesticides Do Not Harm People
Pest control products are scientifically-safe, WILL NOT cause harm, & WILL NOT cause cancer. There is NOT ONE known cancer-death from the proper use of these products used in the urban landscape. Pesticides causing cancer is a MYTH. Pest control products DO NOT kill people, but PROHIBITING them has been FATAL, as seen in the province of Ontario.
Comparing Pesticides To Real Carcinogens Like Alcohol & Cigarettes
There are thousands of known cancer-deaths per year from known REAL carcinogens such as ― • ALCOHOL consumption • physical inactivity • excess body weight • CIGARETTES & second-hand smoke • solar ultra-violet ( UV ) radiation [ i.e. over-exposure to the sun ] • unhealthy diet • NOT pest control products. Pesticides causing cancer is a MYTH. The real big risk factors that are responsible for 12 per cent of global cancer incidence include ― • cigarettes [ i.e. tobacco ] • obesity • various pathogens • NOT pest control products. Pesticides causing cancer is a MYTH. Moreover, the key exposures that contribute the most to the burden of occupational cancer in Canada DO NOT include pest control products, according to Canadian Centre For Occupational Health & Safety ( CCOHS ) & Occupational Cancer Research Centre ( OCRC ). [ See links below. ] Pesticides are nowhere near a leading cause of cancer-death.
Regulatory Agencies Are Protecting The Public
Our governments have chosen to stringently-test & heavily-regulate pest control products through their national regulatory agencies. US Environmental Protection Agency ( US EPA ) & Health Canada both protect the public by researching, assessing, & collaborating in the management of the health risks & safety hazards associated with pest control products. Both agencies employ hundreds & hundreds of doctorate-level experts & leading scientific experts on pest control products. US EPA & Health Canada both have the ESSENTIAL expertise on pest control products. They have shown that pesticides causing cancer is a MYTH.
Pesticides Are Safe
Remember, pest control products are stringently-tested & heavily-regulated in order to ensure that they are scientifically-safe, WILL NOT cause harm, & WILL NOT cause cancer. Health Canada has stated that it is confident that the pest control products that it approves for use in Canada can be used safely when Approved Product Labels are followed. Incident Reports are monitored by Health Canada to identify any potential risks to health or the environment from the use of pest control products & to take corrective actions when necessary. The more serious individual Incident Reports may lead to an official evaluation & action. When used in the urban environment, the risk assessments of these products indicates that they are practically-non-toxic & WILL NOT cause cancer. Pesticides causing cancer is a MYTH.
Re-Entry Intervals Ensure Pesticides Are Safe
Re-Entry Intervals are necessary to ensure that any pest control product residues on the treated turfgrass PLAYING SURFACES DO NOT pose an unacceptable risk to human health. These intervals reflect the amount of time required for pest control product levels to dissipate to a level that is well below any point of concern. They are determined by Health Canada in order to protect people against potential harm from pest control products applied to turfgrasses. Typically, for ALL pest control products used for lawn care maintenance, the Approved Product Labels state ― Keep People Off Treated Area Until Foliage Is DRY.
Cancer Is Inevitable, But Not Because Of Pesticides
Nonetheless, given that cancer is the number 2 leading cause of death, there is a good chance that you are going to die of cancer no matter what you do. By contrast, pest control products are nowhere near a leading cause of cancer-death, & there is NO chance that they will make you die of cancer. Pesticides causing cancer is a MYTH. So chill-out & have a drink, & FORGET ABOUT PROHIBITING pest control products.

About NORAHG
We Speak The Whole Truth About
Doomed-To-Fail Prohibitions
From An Independent Perspective
We are the National Organization Responding Against HUJE that conspire to destroy the Green space and other industries ( NORAHG ). As a non-profit and independent organization, we are environmentalists who are dedicated to reporting about truth-challenged pesticide-hating fanatжcs ( HUJE ) who conspire to destroy businesses that are dependent on the use of safe and effective conventional pest control products. We also report on the work of several highly-rated leading experts who have recognized expertise, training, and background in matters concerning pest control products, and who promote environmental realism and pesticide truths. https://wp.me/p1jq40-8DV
Not surprisingly, enviro-fanatжcs have demonstrated that they are incapable of processing overwhelming scientific evidence. Should we trust these fanatжcs, who conveniently ignore scientific evidence, and attempt to impose their politicized-doctrines and twisted life-style choices against our society ?!?!
NORAHG was the brain-child of Mr William H Gathercole and his colleagues in 1991. Mr Gathercole is now retired, although his name continues to appear as founder.
