Background Information
Risk Assessments
–
Indisputable and conclusive science-based research shows that, as reported through Health Canada’s Confidential Test Data, NO harm will occur when pest control products are used according to label directions. The Risk Assessments of pest control products indicates that they are practically-non-toxic. There is NOT ONE known Incident Report of harm from the proper use of pest control products used in the urban landscape. However, there are thousands of known deaths per year from known cancer-causing substances such as unhealthy diet, physical inactivity, excess body weight, alcohol consumption, and over-exposure to the sun. Pest control products are scientifically safe, will cause NO harm, and will NOT cause cancer.

Background Information
Incident Reports
–
Health Canada’s current approach to the re-evaluation of pest control products favours receipt of new information, including Incident Reports, from any and all stake-holders, even where this material might arrive very late in the review process. Incident Reports can be sent to Health Canada to identify any potential risks to health or the environment from the use of pest control products and to take corrective actions when necessary. The Health Canada data-base is regularly searched for any type of pattern related to a specific pesticide. If the result of a search indicates that there is a trend, such as repeated effects or multiple incidents for a particular product, then Health Canada evaluates the information in conjunction with scientific literature. As well, the more serious individual Incident Reports are reviewed. Evaluation Reports summarizing these reviews are posted on the Health Canada web-site. If the evaluation of the information identifies a safety issue, appropriate action is taken. Such action can range from minor label changes, to the discontinuation of the product. Health Canada encourages persons who believe they are experiencing issues related to a pest control product to consult the instructions on the label and contact their health care provider or poison control center. Background Information
Inferior Alternatives With Higher Toxicities
–
Green Alternative Pesticides are bogus and dismal failures. They are incorporated into pest control programs ― not because they work ― but because of legislation that imposes reckless and arbitrary prohibition. Professionals, and even home-owners, are being prevented from using conventional products that are truly effective as well as scientifically-safe. By definition, alternatives are INFERIOR, which is why they DID NOT win the market-place originally. Overall, Green Alternative Pesticides are ineffective, inadequate, inferior, high-risk, stunningly expensive, and more toxic. When examining Health Canada’s Incident Reports, there is overwhelming evidence that Green Alternative Pesticides are questionably higher in toxicity, and pose higher environmental risks. Here are some examples of serious issues ― • animal ( dog ) deaths ?!?! • attempted suicide ?!?! • child gastro-intestinal vomiting • diarrhea ?!?! • hands discolored black • itchy & red hands • major oral exposure • minor dermal irritation • minor dermal swelling • minor eye exposure • minor eye irritation • minor grass damage • minor oral exposure • minor skin exposure • pain in arm & hand • respiratory exposure • sickness ?!?! • transient dermal irritation. Background Information
No Harm, No Worries
–
Fortunately, the issues that affect our health have been SUCCESSFULLY RESOLVED ! For every conventional pest control product, manufacturers spend 250 million dollars in order to satisfy Health Canada’s scientific Risk Assessments. Two-hundred separate Risk Assessments are performed by the 350 professional experts at Health Canada to ensure that these products are scientifically-safe, and will cause NO harm. Consequently, there is NOT ONE KNOWN Incident Report of harm from the proper use of conventional pest control products used in the urban landscape. Pest control products are scientifically-safe, and will NOT cause harm to people, animals, or the environment. Background Information
Children Are Not At Risk
–
Health Canada DOES consider children’s physiology, behaviours, and habits while playing on treated grass, and has concluded that pest control products cause NO harm and are NO threat to children. In fact, there are NO valid Incident Reports of harm to children when products are used appropriately.
