Introduction
The Golf Industry Creates
Positive Waves For Society
Paying-Golfers Deserve Thicker, Greener, Attractive,
Pest-Free, & Safe Golf Courses As Urban Green Spaces
Golf course superintendents create POSITIVE WAVES for our society by maintaining golf courses that are good for the environment.
Golf course superintendents can be described as the planet’s great conservationists who have been maintaining and conserving the world’s largest ground cover vegetation ― turfgrass ― for hundreds of years.
Today, we must promote and defend the TURFGRASS INDUSTRY, whatever the cost may be !
Universally, « correct and disciplined » main-stream golf course superintendents are professionals who are paid to take care of golf courses ― they manage the budgets, man-power, materials, and schedules needed to correctly maintain high-quality playing conditions and aesthetics for paying golf-customers.
Superintendents constantly monitor the health of turfgrasses through careful observation, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases, insects, weeds, and abiotic disorders.
Their skilled management of turfgrass pests is accomplished by the correct and necessary use of conventional pest control products.
They use pest control products to enhance golf courses, which is also good for the environment.
And, these products are government-approved, federally-legal, scientifically-safe, practically-non-toxic, and will cause no harm.
Their use has contributed extensively to the high-quality playing conditions and aesthetics of golf courses, and the preservation of the environment.
The golf course superintendents ― THE PLANET’S GREAT CONSERVATIONISTS.

Summary
Augusta National Golf Club &
The Quest For Golf Course Perfection
Paying Golfers’ Desire For The Augusta Effect
The Masters Tournament is traditionally golf’s first major championship of the year.
The Masters has been played in either March or April since 1934. [ Except for 2020. ]
For many years, Tiger Woods has been a regular champion at the Masters, having won five tournaments at Augusta National.
Augusta has been affectionately known as « The Perfect Golf Club ».
Augusta at Masters time is spectacular, sumptuous … and surreal in the truest sense of the word.
The Augusta STANDARDS FOR PERFECTION, known as « The Augusta Effect », are attainable to all but a very few golf clubs.
The Augusta Effect
The Standards For Perfection That Are
Attainable To All But A Very Few Golf Clubs
Paying-golfers watch the Masters on TV and salivate over the BEAUTY and PERFECTION.
Over the past 30 or 40 years especially, the maintenance staff at « The Perfect Golf Club » has SET THE STANDARDS EXTREMELY HIGH for golf course superintendents everywhere.
Augusta is UNFAIR to superintendents who operate typical golf courses.
Augusta really SHOULD NOT BE SETTING THE STANDARDS.
They are UNATTAINABLE FOR ALL BUT A VERY FEW.
Actually, there can ONLY BE ONE « The Perfect Golf Club ».
Nonetheless, golf course superintendents will create POSITIVE WAVES for our society by ASPIRING TOWARDS THE STANDARDS FOR PERFECTION known as « The Augusta Effect ».

Positive Waves – The Quest For Golf Course Perfection
Augusta National Golf Club Is Perfect
The legendary Augusta National Golf Club which hosts the famous old tournament is, quite simply, PERFECT.
The emerald green color is PERFECT.
The sharp edges of the white sand bunkers are PERFECT.
The azaleas that frame the best-known holes in golf are PERFECT.
Even the pimento/cheese sandwiches and mint juleps are PERFECT.
Perhaps too PERFECT.
[ This is the so-called « Augusta Effect » or « Augusta Look ». ]
I love Augusta National Golf Club ― and I’ve been there many times in my « regular » life as a golf writer ― but the world’s most famous golf course is BY NO MEANS TYPICAL.
The club spends millions every year to implement an elaborate and sophisticated program to ensure that the place is absolutely in peak condition for the week when the world comes to watch.
The process reminds me a bit of the carefully executed blooming plans of die-hard rose aficionados trying to achieve the best possible color and consistency just in time for flower show judging ― only down at Augusta it’s done across 130 acres of Georgia red clay that’s lovingly covered with a pampered blanket of manicured turfgrass shaded by towering Palmettos and literally thousands of hot-house annuals and hand-picked perennials.
Augusta at Masters time is spectacular, sumptuous … and surreal in the truest sense of the word.
In a way, it’s like Brigadoon ― the mythical Scottish village of Broadway fame that can only be seen by outsiders once in century.
Essentially, [ The Perfect Golf Club is ] a once-a-year trick that CBS Sports and the members of the club play on the world.
So, judge ye not based on what you’ll see on your HDTV screen come the second Sunday in April because Augusta is, to put it bluntly, the LEAST TYPICAL golf course on the planet.

The Warped World Of The Perfect Golf Club
I ask you to forget what you think about the WARPED WORLD of Augusta National Golf Club and consider instead the « SECRET LIFE » of the MOST UNTYPICAL GOLF COURSES ―

Positive Waves – The Typical Golf Course V Augusta
1. Number Of Golf Courses
There Are More Golf Courses
Than McDonald’s Restaurants
It’s probably within 10 miles of your home.
There are 15,500 golf courses in the United States ― more locations than McDonald’s restaurants ― and they are EVERYWHERE from Denali National Park in Alaska to Death Valley in the Mojave Desert.
[ But, there is ONLY ONE Perfect Golf Club. ]
―――――――――――――――――――
Positive Waves – The Typical Golf Course V Augusta
2. Public Access
The Vast Majority Of Golf Courses
Are Accessible To The General Public
Instead of being ULTRA-PRIVATE [ like The Perfect Golf Club ], it’s far more likely to be open to anyone who wants to plunk down 35-dollars or so to play 18 holes.
Contrary to popular thought, THREE-QUARTERS OF ALL GOLF COURSES ARE PUBLIC ACCESS.
Commentary
DESIRES ― Every single one of these golf courses have paying-golfers who desire « The Augusta Effect » or « The Augusta Look ».

3. Healthy Playing
Playing Golf Consumes 1,500
Calories In The Human Body
If you walk ― and more and more people are choosing to do that now instead of riding those funny little GOLF CARTS ― it’s a HEALTHY 5-6 miles of exercise.
Expect to burn about 1,500 calories when you hoof it for 18 holes instead of riding GOLF CARTS [ which is mandatory at The Perfect Golf Club ].
―――――――――――――――――――
Positive Waves – Both The Typical Golf Course & Augusta
4. Wildlife Havens
Golf Courses Are Good For Wildlife
[ Golf courses are ] often the only MAJOR GREEN SPACE for miles ― they are WILDLIFE HAVENS for critters, birds, butterflies, and a surprisingly diverse community of native plant species.
The transitional areas between the open grassy space in the fairways and the trees and native grasses that often frame them are magnets for WILDLIFE.

5. Benefits
Golf Courses Are Wonderful
& Ecologically-Friendly
The 70-150 acres of grass on a golf course is an ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFIT and an ECOLOGICAL WONDER.
Large stands of turf filter pollutants from the water that moves across them and exchanges vast amounts of carbon monoxide for pure oxygen.
Those billions of little grass plants also cool the atmosphere and create a permeable place for ground-water recharge.
Commentary
THE BENEFITS OF TURFGRASSES ― Turfgrasses are tremendous economic assets that provide vital green spaces that enhance our community’s beauty and overall healthy state. Here are some of the benefits of well-maintained turfgrasses ― • healthy green spaces REDUCE NOISE POLLUTION • a lawn FILTERS SURFACE WATER and returns it back to the water table • a nicely landscaped yard ADDS VALUE TO THE PROPERTY by as much as 25 per cent • a thick, healthy lawn PREVENTS SOIL EROSION • a well-maintained landscape MAKES US FEEL GOOD • a well-maintained landscape trees and lawns COOL AND CLEAN THE AIR WE BREATHE • an attractive landscape is PLEASING TO THE EYE. The superintendents who operate golf courses are THE PLANET’S GREAT CONSERVATIONISTS. We must promote and defend the TURFGRASS INDUSTRY, whatever the cost may be ! See links below and later segment.

6. Naturalized Areas
Golf Course Properties Are
Composed Of Mostly Naturalized Areas
Much attention is paid to the greens ― the fragile putting surfaces that are the focus of Joe Hacker’s love / hate relationship with the game.
But MOST AREAS OF THE COURSE ARE NATURALIZED.
Weed-free ?
HA !
Completely absent of bugs or pests ?
NO WAY !
You simply cannot contain Mother Nature, so most courses strive for a balance between the needs of the game and the realities of managing a vast open space that invites invasive species.
Commentary
BAD-BOYS OF AUDUBON GOLF IN BRITISH COLUMBIA ― The majority of the golf courses that are certified-members of « The Audubon Co-Operative Sanctuary Program For Golf » are either non-licensed, out-of-compliance, or both ― these hypocritical golf courses pretend to be more environmentally-conscious when, in fact, their superintendents massively violate pesticide laws. Their credibility is in doubt. Golf course superintendents must not forget that they are the planet’s great conservationists. See links below.

7. Professionals – Part 1
Golf Courses Are Managed By
Highly-Educated Professionals
It’s typically managed by a PROFESSIONAL COURSE SUPERINTENDENT with a four-year degree in agronomy or another natural science who is LICENSED to use pesticides and fertilizers and who likely got into the business because of a love of nature and the outdoors.
Commentary
NON-PROFESSIONAL GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENTS, PART 1 ― Horrific fines are now being imposed specifically against golf course superintendents, who have been found in violation of state law because of the ILLEGAL APPLICATIONS of pest control products. Superintendents DEFIED the label directions. Why bother with legal and registered label directions when you can LIE and CHEAT. If some golf course superintendents can’t be good examples, then they’ll just have to serve as horrible warnings. Positive Waves – Both The Typical Golf Course & Augusta
8. Professionals – Part 2
Golf Courses Are Managed By Highly-
Devoted & Highly-Motivated Professionals
The typical course superintendent is amazingly PASSIONATE about what he or she does.
They had better be since the green spaces they care for are enormous complex things that require INCREDIBLE DEVOTION to soils, plants, water and living things.
Commentary
NON-PROFESSIONAL GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENTS, PART 2 ― Sadly, some golf facilities are infested with so-called « activist-superintendents » who have rejected correct and disciplined turf maintenance practices and have adopted pesticide-hating doctrine. These types of activists represent the greatest threats to the golf industry today. After decades of benefiting from the golf industry’s pesticide ban exception status, activist-superintendents have ridiculously decided to self-impose their own pesticide bans. Observers are aghast that activist-superintendents are invalidating the pesticide ban exception status that allowed the golf industry to avoid being subjected to anti-pesticide prohibition for a generation, thanks to the unbelievable lobbying by Mr William H Gathercole in the 1990s. These activists simply do not deserve to work in the golf industry that they betray. Golf course superintendents ( and general-managers ) are not paid to be activists ― they are paid to satisfy paying golfers by providing high-quality playing conditions and aesthetics. Golf course superintendents must not forget that they are the planet’s great conservationists. See links below.

9. Water & Chemical Inputs
Golf Courses Are Maintained With A
Minimum Of Inputs Like Water & Chemicals
The majority of typical golf courses are going to great lengths to REDUCE INPUTS LIKE WATER AND CHEMICALS. [ ?!?! ]
Why ?
To reduce costs and lighten their environmental foot-print. [ ?!?! ]
Commentary
INPUTS ARE ESSENTIAL ― Golf courses that desire « The Augusta Effect » or « The Augusta Look » absolutely require irrigation, pest control products, and fertilizers. But, TYPICAL facilities will need them too.
Commentary
GOLF COURSES WILL CAUSE NO HARM ― The golf industry must STRONGLY ADOPT THE POSITION that conventional pest control products are scientifically-safe and will cause NO harm to players, workers, and the environment. The golf industry must also ADOPT the position that its use of any fertilizers DOES NOT harm the environment. Throughout North America, the vast majority of golf facilities that adopt ridiculous input-reduction doctrines become victims of receivership and bankruptcy, and / or become unplayable garbage dumps. Golf course superintendents must be allowed to fulfill their roles as the planet’s great conservationists. See links below.

Positive Waves – The Quest For Golf Course Perfection
The Secret Life Of Golf Courses
I’ve shared a bit about the SECRET LIFE of most American courses.
Now I’ll share my personal little SECRET ― despite the fact that I write about golf, golf courses and anything and everything to do with how they are run, I stink at the actual game.
I am what is politely called a « high-handicapper ».
If par is 72, I might break 100 on a good day.
And that’s probably with a couple of « mulligans » and a few kicks out of the tall grass.
The point is that I’ve always loved golf courses ― these enormous, beautifully crafted, living, breathing playing fields ― more than the stupid game of golf.
And, the less you care about how you play, the more you’re likely to enjoy it.
If you’re an occasional player who sort of gave up on the game or someone who’s wanted to try it but you’ve been scared of embarrassing yourself, repeat after me ― IT JUST DOESN’T MATTER !
―――――――――――――――――――
Positive Waves – The Quest For Golf Course Perfection
The Quest For Perfection
The beauty of golf, like the joy of gardening, can easily become lost in the FUTILE QUEST FOR PERFECTION.
Let go of the score.
Let go of your fear of embarrassment.
Let go of your preconceptions of what those courses look like on TV.
Instead, just look around and drink in the surroundings.
Lose yourself in the quiet of an isolated hole.
Enjoy the inevitable delay while the doofus in front of you searches the woods in vain for $2 Top Flite.
Listen to the wind and the birds and the gentle « thwack » of a faraway shot being struck.
There is peace and beauty around you when you ignore the stated purpose of being there and just relax … and become aware of the SECRET LIFE of golf courses.

Positive Waves – Standards For Perfection That Are Attainable To All But A Very Few Golf Clubs
The Augusta Effect
It is what is known in the golf course maintenance business as « The Augusta Effect », and high definition TV has only amplified it.
Over the past 30 or 40 years especially, the maintenance staff at Augusta National Golf Club has SET THE STANDARD EXTREMELY HIGH for golf course superintendents everywhere.
Golfers watch the Masters on TV and salivate over the BEAUTY and PERFECTION. [ See link below. ]
And if you’ve never been to Augusta National Golf Club during tournament week and think that maybe THAT is just the way it looks on television, think again.
It is THAT PERFECT.
Mr Peter Grass knows how UNFAIR this is to superintendents.
According to Mr Grass, president of the Golf Course Superintendents Association ―
Superintendents are being asked to do more with less ― less money, less staff and less water.
There are HIGH COSTS directly related to golf course management.
However, golfers’ high expectations have NOT changed.
They still want their courses to be IMPECCABLE.
Despite the challenges, superintendents also want their courses to offer EXCEPTIONAL PLAY ON HEALTHY TURF.
Every day, they strive to provide the BEST POSSIBLE CONDITIONS to customers.
Mr Eric Bauer, the director of agronomy at the Bluejack National Golf Club, north of Houston, knows a little about TRYING TO EMULATE AUGUSTA’S CONDITIONING.
The exclusive course, which was designed by Tiger Woods, has a definite Augusta look to it, and it is expected to have that « Augusta Look ».
But even then, with a GENEROUS MAINTENANCE BUDGET at an exclusive club, Bauer will tell you ( see below ) that there are other ways Augusta National Golf Club has an ADVANTAGE.
So yes, Augusta really SHOULD NOT BE SETTING THE STANDARD, as it were; it is UNATTAINABLE FOR ALL BUT A VERY FEW.
Here, then, are 10 REASONS why it is unreasonable for most golfers to compare their home course to Augusta National Golf Club.
―――――――――――――――――――

―――――――――――――――――――
Positive Waves – The Augusta Effect
Reason 1. Employees
Good Help Is Hard To Find,
But Not For The Perfect Golf Club
Augusta National Golf Club gets THE VERY BEST PEOPLE to mow greens, blow leaves, rake bunkers, and put out fresh pine needles [ at The Perfect Golf Club ].
According to Mr Eric Bauer, the director of agronomy at Bluejack National Golf Club ―
If you were to ask a majority of superintendents today labor is becoming more and more a challenge.
Today’s worker is getting harder to find and motivate.
Commentary
TRUE SUPERINTENDENTS ― Universally, TRUE golf course superintendents are professionals who are paid to take care of golf courses ― they manage the budgets, man-power, materials, and schedules needed to properly maintain high-quality playing conditions and aesthetics for paying golfers. TRUE superintendents constantly monitor the health of turfgrasses through careful observation, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases, insects, weeds, and abiotic disorders. Their skilled management of turfgrass pests is accomplished by the proper use of conventional pest control products. TRUE golf course superintendents are NOT interested in the Go Brown Anti-Cosmetic Golf Course Doctrine. Rightly, they are more concerned with providing paying golfers with high-quality playing conditions and aesthetics. Activist-superintendents are NOT true golf course superintendent. Go Brown is a FAILURE and leads to garbage dump golf courses that LOOK LIKE DEATH ! Golf course superintendents must be allowed to fulfill their roles as the planet’s great conservationists. Positive Waves – The Augusta Effect
Reason 2. Talent
The Perfect Golf Club Attracts
The Very Best Young Talent, Too
What budding superintendent or tech wouldn’t want to work at Augusta National Golf Club ?
Every year, [ The Perfect Golf Club ] gets FLOODED WITH RESUMES from all over the country and from the VERY BEST TURFGRASS SCHOOLS.
According to Mr Eric Bauer, the director of agronomy at Bluejack National Golf Club ―
Augusta probably has its PICK OF THE BEST OF THE BEST coming out of school or wishing to complete internships, only to have the opportunity to put AUGUSTA NATIONAL GOLF CLUB on their RESUME.
Commentary
HOW TO SPOT LIES ON RESUMES ― In a resume, there are red flags where a job candidate can stretch the truth ― they could be lies that need verification. According to research, 50 per cent of job candidates are lying sacks of crжp since 50 per cent lie on their resumes. Candidates who lie with bogus education credentials must be considered morally bankrupt, and must be considered unfit to work for you. 75 per cent of candidates lie about job experience, and over 50 per cent lie about the duties they performed ― once their references are checked and verified, their candidacies must be ended. Candidates who lie about their employment history must be eliminated as potential employees. Candidates who lie on their resumes with false job titles must be deemed as untrustworthy, and must be deemed unfit to work for you. If a job candidate is a lying sack of crжp before being employed, then he⁄she will remain a lying sack of crжp as an employee. Candidates must submit rock solid resumes that do not raise any red flags. See links below.

Positive Waves – The Augusta Effect
Reason 3. Volunteers
The Perfect Golf Club Also Gets The
Best Volunteers During Masters Week
When you see that army of mowers sweeping the fairways after play each day, those are NOT members of Augusta’s regular maintenance staff; many of those guys and gals are superintendents at some pretty high-profile courses around the world, doing specific tasks normally associated with regular crew members.
In fact, just go ahead and multiply the crew by 10 during tournament week and imagine most of those guys with mowers and blowers having turfgrass degrees.
THAT is Augusta National, [ The Perfect Golf Club ].
―――――――――――――――――――
Positive Waves – The Augusta Effect
Reason 4. Golf Cart Usage
No Carts Are Allowed … Ever
Forget the « 90-degree rule ».
[ The Perfect Golf Club ] is an ALL-WALKING CADDIE COURSE that is NOT going to be ruined by pesky GOLF CART USAGE, with vehicles driving all over its pristine fairways.
( Ironically, Club Car is headquartered in Augusta, Georgia. )
So, right there, Augusta National Golf Club GETS A LOT LESS WEAR AND TEAR than your home course.
―――――――――――――――――――
Positive Waves – The Augusta Effect
Reason 5. Natural Environment
The Perfect Golf Club Is Not Natural
Not to imply that the folks at Augusta National Golf Club are doing anything harmful to the environment, but you DO NOT get conditions like that without SPENDING A LOT OF MONEY on pesticides, herbicides, wetting agents, and the like [ in order to make The Perfect Golf Club PERFECT ].
So if you are the type who likes your golf course AS NATURAL AS POSSIBLE, you can forget it looking like the one [ at The Perfect Golf Club ].
Commentary
AUDUBON FOR GOLF ― « The Audubon Co-Operative Sanctuary Program For Golf » is supposedly designed to continue the environmental improvement that golf is going through, and to provide a way for the golf industry, the non-playing public, and golfers, to see how they are doing. But NOT if most certified-member-clubs VIOLATE pesticide laws. Are there business benefits to be realized with Audubon ?!?! A certified-member-club can use the program in their marketing to set themselves apart from their competition, but NOT if they VIOLATE pesticide laws. Private clubs that are certified-members can instill a sense of ownership among the members as well as a sense of camaraderie among the employees, but NOT if they VIOLATE pesticide laws. The main benefit of « The Audubon Co-Operative Sanctuary Program For Golf » MAY be doing the right thing. [ ?!?! ] Nonetheless, Audubon must VIGOROUSLY EMBARK on a massive campaign to CLEAN-UP violator-members. Golf course superintendents must be allowed to fulfill their roles as the planet’s great conservationists. See links below.

Positive Waves – The Augusta Effect
Reason 6. Stimpmeter Measurements
Putting Greens Stimped At 13,
& Above, Would Slow Down Play
If you want really FAST & SMOOTH PUTTING GREENS [ like The Perfect Golf Club ], think about the average golfer.
Inducing three- and four-putts all over the place ― especially on weekends ― would grind play to a halt.
Who wants that [ except at The Perfect Golf Club ] ?
Explore the following link …
√ — Tournament Preparations — Firm Playing Conditions — LINK
―――――――――――――――――――
Positive Waves – The Augusta Effect
Reason 7. Unlimited Budget
Perfect Conditions & Affordable
Green Fees Do Not Go Together
It takes pretty much an UNLIMITED BUDGET to produce PERFECT CONDITIONS [ at The Perfect Golf Club ], and the members at Augusta NOT only have deep pockets, but they get a boat-load of TV money, too.
Of course there are a few private clubs, and even some resort courses around the country, that have CLOSE-TO-PERFECT CONDITIONS, but they are NOT EXACTLY AFFORDABLE for the masses.
So if you are looking for any kind of value golf, you really have to learn to overlook a few flaws.
Explore the following links …

―――――――――――――――――――
Positive Waves – The Augusta Effect
Reason 8. Low Rounds
Without A Lot Of Play, Great
Conditions Are Easier To Maintain
Though Augusta National Golf Club is NOT in the habit of disclosing how many ROUNDS they get ( staff is not even available to comment for articles ), you can bet it is LESS THAN YOUR CLUB, unless you are a one-percenter.
Much less.
There are days where Augusta might get two or three groups, and THAT is NOT ABNORMAL.
Without much play, it is much easier to give [ The Perfect Golf Club ] some serious TLC.
―――――――――――――――――――
Positive Waves – The Augusta Effect
Reason 9. Watering
What Is Wrong With Firm & Fast ?
It takes a lot of water to make a course as green as Augusta National Golf Club, which has an INCREDIBLE IRRIGATION AND DRAINAGE SYSTEM that keeps it from getting soggy.
For most courses, that kind of WATERING would mean an awfully soft golf course, the opposite of say, CHAMBERS BAY GOLF COURSE near Seattle, which was heavily criticized for its brownish-green [ i.e. the brown look-of-death ] during the 2015 US Open. [ See link below. ]
But let’s face it, most golfers want their drives to roll out, and they want to be able to bounce a ball up onto the green, which is VERY DIFFICULT if you are WATERING a course to keep it super green, [ like at The Perfect Golf Club ].
Commentary
THE CHAMBERS BAY FAILURE ― Chambers Bay represents the FAILURE of Go Brown Anti-Cosmetic Golf Course Doctrine. Go Brown is a FAILURE and leads to garbage dump golf courses that LOOK DEAD ! Nonetheless, the Go Brown Anti-Cosmetic Golf Course Doctrine has been embraced by so-called activist-superintendents who adopt Anti-Pesticide Policies and Anti-Fertilizer Policies. They have arbitrarily decided to adopt these policies in defiance of maintenance protocols and performance standards that have been scientifically established for generations. Consequently, Go Brown golf courses LOOK DEAD ! After decades of benefiting from the golf industry’s pesticide ban exception status, activist-superintendents have ridiculously decided to self-impose their own pesticide bans. They have also arbitrarily decided to adopt the Arbitrary Reduction of Nutrients. This is NOT what they are paid to do. They are NOT TRUE golf course superintendent. Golf course superintendents must not forget that they are the planet’s great conservationists. See link below.

Positive Waves – The Augusta Effect
Reason 10. Closure
No Summertime Golf Play
On TV we see Augusta National Golf Club in all its glory with the azaleas in bloom, the fairways and greens PERFECT, and the weather conducive for growing cool-season grasses.
In the summer, that DOES NOT work so well, so [ The Perfect Golf Club ] is CLOSED, and it DOES NOT have to endure the stress of hot weather with people taking divots and making ball marks on its PERFECT greens.
According to Mr Peter Grass, president of the Golf Course Superintendents Association ―
Superintendents face challenges from Mother Nature, whether it is a rough winter or summer drought conditions.
But, superintendents are problem solvers, and they know the best ways possible to deal with whatever Mother Nature brings.
Commentary
The superintendents who operate golf courses ― THE PLANET’S GREAT CONSERVATIONISTS.

Nonetheless, golf course superintendents will create POSITIVE WAVES for our society by ASPIRING TOWARDS THE STANDARDS FOR PERFECTION known as « The Augusta Effect ».
