In Canada, the professional image in the golf sector has been further tarnished, & superintendents have been orphaned by the loss of their treasured trade association.

Inept-leaders at Canadian Golf Superintendents Association ( CGSA ), who clearly could not be trusted, have financially mis-managed their own trade organization, with stunning losses of more than 100,000-dollars, rendering it susceptible to an insidious take-over by predatory National Golf Course Owners Association ( NGCOA ).

This take-over proved, yet again, that incompetent & mediocre CGSA-leaders cannot be trusted to make critical, correct, & competent decisions, & who lack leadership greatness to fight-fight-fight & win-win-win.

The take-over also validated the historic rivalry with club owners ⁄ managers, who have long surmised that superintendents are unable to financially manage even their own turf maintenance budgets.

In British Columbia ( BC ), government officials have indicated that the majority of superintendents have been massively violating provincial pesticide laws & have been overwhelmingly non-compliant with BC’s Amended IPM Regulations.

According to officials, an overwhelming majority of almost two-thirds did not hold valid pesticide use licenses.
