2,4-D does NOT cause cancer.
Regulatory agencies, like U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Health Canada, conduct an exhaustive series of risk assessments to evaluate the human health and environmental impacts of 2,4-D.
It is widely recognized that these regulatory agencies are leading world authorities on pesticide toxicology, exposure, and epidemiology.
Conventional pest control products like 2,4-D have been tested in more ways than virtually any other set of substances.
The general standard for validating the registration of a pest control product is that there are NO unreasonable adverse effects to humans or the environment when the pesticide is used according to label directions.
2,4-D herbicide plays a valuable role in protecting and enhancing lawns, gardens, public parks, playing fields, lakes, and ponds for public enjoyment.

With anti-pesticide prohibition, it has become impossible to maintain a natural grass on areas like sports fields.
Consequently, natural grass sports fields are being replaced by exorbitantly expensive and dangerous artificial/synthetic grass.
The real risks of artificial/synthetic grass have been overlooked in the unscientific panic about pest control products.
When it comes to pest control products, government officials can learn a lot from the experience of those who have gone before ― if the goal is to reduce real and verifiable risks, promote a more natural environment, and encourage healthy activities ― prohibiting pest control products seems a strange way to go about it when switching to artificial/synthetic grass.
There are real risks when using artificial/synthetic grass.
Here are examples ― • Exorbitant costs of installation • Heat effects leading to health risk since surface temperatures are much higher • Higher costs not considered for grooming, brooming, and repairs • Higher incidences of non-contact injuries • Increased abrasions that lead to infections • Potential environmental clean-up costs • Repeated disposal in landfills • Toxic chemical and toxin exposures on fields, and the risks to children • Toxic chemicals and toxins disbursed from field, such as zinc and other compounds, that can potentially run-off at levels that are above ground-water standards.

Bee Conspiracy Against Neonicotinoid Insecticides
SUMMARY ― BEE CONSPIRACY
Neonicotinoid insecticides used on the VAST MAJORITY of agricultural crops WILL NOT harm pollinators.
On January 5th, 2015, Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency ( PMRA ) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency ( EPA ) released their preliminary assessments, both of which show A LIMITED NUMBER of situations where some neonicotinoid insecticides pose risk to pollinators.
According to this risk assessment of a neonicotinoid insecticide, imidacloprid, label directions and rules for foliar and seed treatments of imidacloprid should either PREVENT or LIMIT the risks to honeybees and other pollinators.
The EPA data also showed that citrus and cotton may have residues of the insecticide in pollen and nectar above the threshold level of 25 parts per billion, above which effects on pollinator hives were likely to be seen.
In North America, citrus fruits for consumption as fresh fruit are mainly grown in California, Arizona, and Texas.
Cotton is ONLY grown in the southern United States.
Citrus and cotton are NOT grown as crops in most of North America. Overall, neonicotinoid insecticides are used in a way that MINIMIZES any direct exposure to bees, such as seed treatment.
Seed treatment insecticides have been used for a decade with almost NO incidences of negative impacts on bees by minimizing potential exposures of non-target insects such as bees.
Under normal field use of neonicotinoid insecticides, the exposure to bees is at very low levels, far too low to cause harmful effects.
Why are a small number of bee-keepers alleging the loss of bees, even OUTSIDE of situations where some neonicotinoid insecticides pose risk to pollinators ?!?!
THE REAL CULPRITS WHO HARM BEES ARE ACTUALLY THE BEE-KEEPERS THEMSELVES !
Seemingly, bee-keepers are losing their bees over and over again. Why is this madness happening ?!?!
Observers have concluded that many bee-keepers have no idea what they are doing, and are simply not skilled to raise bees.
Bee-keepers are killing their own bees over and over again.
The alleged losses of bees are, in fact, the fault of these bee-keepers and their mis-management practices.
The bee-keepers themselves are clearly responsible since they appear to be unable or unwilling or not skilled enough to mitigate the real issues that harm bees, such as starvation, weak colonies, fungal infections, and mite infestations.
They prefer to remain unproficient at bee-keeping, and expect the government to shower them with vast sums of unjustifiable compensation.

British Columbia granted an exception status to businesses operating in the professional lawn care and golf industries.
Only specially-trained experts working within these industries are permitted to use pest control products in the urban landscape.
The government of British Columbia made the right choice, and deserves congratulation.
The government’s decision was based upon the work of one of its special committees.
On May 17th, 2012, British Columbia’s Special Committee On Cosmetic Pesticides stopped the trend towards needless, senseless, and malicious prohibition.
The Special Committee announced that it would NOT recommend prohibition against pest control products used in the urban landscape.
British Columbia’s decision confirms that the public rejects prohibition.

DDT does NOT cause harm to birds, but its removal has KILLED MILLIONS OF PEOPLE.
According to scientist and popular author Michael Crichton, arguably, the greatest tragedy of the Twentieth Century was the removal of DDT.
DDT was the best insecticide for the control of mosquitoes.
Despite views to the contrary, NO other products were as efficient, or as safe.
Since the removal of DDT, it has been estimated that thirty to fifty million people have died unnecessarily from the effects of malaria.
Sadly, removing DDT has KILLED MORE PEOPLE THAN HITLER.
Before the removal of DDT, malaria had become almost a minor illness, with only fifty thousand deaths per year throughout the world.
According to the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, in 1970, only a few chemicals does man owe as great a debt as to DDT.
In little more than two decades DDT prevented 500 million human deaths, due to MALARIA, that otherwise would have been inevitable.
In 1972, according to the Administrative Judge of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, DDT does NOT have a deleterious effect on freshwater fish, estuarine organisms, wild birds, or other wildlife.
