Comments About Canadian Cancer Society
I’ve asked this question a number of times to the Golf Association. Why is the Canadian Cancer Society sticking the knife in our backs when the Golf Industry across Canada has raised millions of dollars in support of cancer victims and cancer research ? This makes no sense.
My son was part of a charity marathon last weekend. I can assure you that I made sure that the Canadian Cancer Society WAS NOT involved before I allowed him to run.
I used to give money to the Canadian Cancer Society every single year. From now on, they will not get a red cent from me. Nothing.
My father died of prostate cancer and I was with him all through the course of his disease and right up to the end. I have lost friends and family to this tragic illness and am fully aware that we need to support research into a cure and support families and patients as they cope with this sickness.
Because of this, my family and I have supported the CCS for years.
No longer !
I was recently asked to participate in a Golf Tournament in the Niagara area to raise funds for the CCS. I will not participate.
Also two of my three children wanted to run in the CCS walk for a cure. I stopped them.
Instead we donate our money DIRECTLY to a local hospice for terminally ill cancer patients. This way we know that all of our money is going towards helping people that are suffering from this terrible disease and not lining the pockets of activists and advancing their junk science agenda !
