The Canadian Cancer Society is looking for an energetic & interesting blogger!
Overall Purpose:
To support the Canadian Cancer Society’s (CCS) Health Promotion activities by engaging the public through social media, i.e. creating awareness around the Canadian Cancer Society’s Health Promotion campaigns, influencing positive behaviors around cancer prevention and engaging young adults around the Canadian Cancer Society’s Health Promotion messaging.
Responsibilities:
-Act as a Canadian Cancer Society volunteer blogger for the cancergameplan.ca blog,
specifically including:
o Writing 1 – 2 blog posts per month regarding Canadian Cancer Society Health
Promotion activities (i.e. Tanning, Pesticides, Health Eating, Physical Activity,
Screening)
o Attending Canadian Cancer Society events as needed
o Monitoring all comments made
o Promoting blog through Facebook.com/TanningIsOut
o Ensuring all posts are made in youth-friendly language and aligned with Canadian
Cancer Society key messages
