WCTA represents the turf management profession, which includes golf course superintendents, assistant superintendents, equipment technicians, municipalities, lawn care businesses, and others, in Western Canada, particularly in British Columbia.  WCTA currently has 700 members, with DWINDLING golf industry participation.  The WCTA mission is to promote and support the turf management profession, even though its leadership remains idle on so many important issues.  The fanatжcal and uneducated leaders of WCTA fail to make any correct decisions.  For example, WCTA is in a sad state of affairs, since the majority of its member-golf-courses appear to have VIOLATED provincial pesticide laws.  WCTA leaders must be frustrated because they are failures at almost everything !    Perhaps we cannot ascribe malice to WCTA leaders which adequately be explained by incompetence.  WCTA fails as a trade association, and its leaders operate with their heads up their bжtts.

WCTA has made some quasi-serious, but amateurish, sometimes innovative, attempts with its political lobbying campaign.  In the past decade, much of its lobbying efforts have been directed towards preserving the golf industry’s pesticide ban exception status.  Unfortunately, WCTA often pays lip service to the importance of protecting this exception status, and has confined itself to basically sending ineffective letters to Health Canada, and pointless meet-and-greet with local government officials.  This is because NO ONE in WCTA has any expertise in matters concerning professional lobbying, hence, WCTA fails to make any correct decisions concerning this issue.  WCTA members are NOT being protected from harm by any effective lobbying campaign.  By comparison, Integrated Environmental Plant Management Association of Western Canada ( IEPMA ) has been MORE EFFECTIVE at lobbying than WCTA.

The clueless leaders of WCTA ignore the fact that federal and provincial officials are considering the imposition of prohibitions against ALL industries that use pest control products, including the golf industry.  The golf industry currently enjoys the benefits from an exception status despite the fact that it uses the very same ingredients employed by home-owners, professional lawn care businesses, and farmers.  Golf facilities use 6.0 per cent of all pest control products in Manitoba, a province within the jurisdiction of WCTA.  Some observers have commented that if golf facilities account for 6.0 per cent of the pest control products use, and feel they deserve an exception status, it should be pointed out that a residential home lawns only accounts for 0.00000001 per cent, and therefore is far more deserving of an exception status than they are.  Sadly, WCTA pays lip service to the importance of protecting the golf industry’s pesticide ban exception status.  Overall, they have NOT bothered to address ANY of the CRITICAL ISSUES facing the golf industry.  Their golf-industry-members are NOT being protected from harm by any effective lobbying campaign.  WCTA even remained idle when Riverside Golf Course faced imminent destruction at the hands of golf-hating municipal officials in Surrey.  Observers have stated that WCTA fails to defend golf superintendents and their facilities because of the DWINDLING participation of the golf industry in its events.  WCTA is just a bunch of #@!!% bastжrds !

WCTA fails to comprehend the threat to the golf industry concerning attacks by David Suzuki and his operatives.  The pompous and idiotic elected leaders and staff of CGSA failed to confront and defend David Suzuki and his fanatжcal-operatives from attacking golf businesses.  The #@!!% Suzuki-documentary « Dad and the Dandelions », which first aired on March 2nd, 2017, represented his latest anti-pesticide campaign of terrжr that falsely and strongly implies that golf courses cause cancer and kill people.  [ ?!?! ]     Suzuki’s fanatжcal-operatives spent a year-and-a-half producing the documentary, a cancer-terrжr-attack against the golf industry.  It was financed by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation ( CBC ) to the tune of 1 million dollars.  Suzuki intends to leave a legacy of terrжrized and destroyed golf facilities, lost jobs and hardship for golf employees, and weakened communities.  What has WCTA done to confront Suzuki-terrжr against the golf industry ?!?!  NOTHING.  WCTA has idiotically responded  …  do not attack Suzuki.  Really ?!?!    WCTA has ineptly responded  …  Suzuki cancer-attacks are simply mis-information and alternative opinions.  Really ?!?!  Why ?!?!  Because WCTA leaders have become Suzuki ACOLYTES.  Consequently, WCTA leaders fail to make any correct decisions.  They are cowards and they do not care.  The WCTA SUCKS since it has failed to defend the turf management profession.  WCTA is not competent to fight against David Suzuki.

An organization called Prevent Cancer Now ( PCN, a.k.a. Canadian Cancer Society & David Suzuki ) is taking aim AGAINST the golf industry by hacking its IPM data, and WCTA simply remains quiescent.  IPM Council of Canada has enabled PCN’s anti-pesticide and golf-hating lunatжcs by granting them wholesale and unconstrained access to sensitive and potentially-harmful information about golf facilities in provinces like Ontario.  PCN’s lunatжcs have been downloading ( i.e. hacking ) sensitive IPM data that contains thousands of detailed reports on the use of pest control products by hundreds of golf facilities.  Under some provincial laws, like Ontario, golf facilities must submit annual reports on their use of pest control products  ―  these reports are known as IPM data.  The hackers’ objective has been to publicly evaluate the IPM data in a manner that will humiliate, damage, and destroy businesses that operate in the golf industry.  So far, the hacked IPM data has been destructively exploited by PCN in the production of the #@!!% Suzuki-documentary « Dad and the Dandelions » which falsely and strongly implies that ALL golf courses cause cancer and kill people.   [ ?!?! ]   A dozen warnings were issued to IPM Council and all other trade associations, including WCTA.  Elected leaders and staff of trade associations like WCTA were expected to complain to all board members of the IPM Council.  Incredibly, NOTHING has been effectively done to protect the sensitive IPM data that is still being downloaded by PCN’s hackers.  IPM Council and trade associations have become « useful idiots » that naively support and tolerate PCN’s dangerous hacking-lunatжcs.  The master-mind of this hacking-attack is a lunatжc-operative supported by David Suzuki Foundation and Canadian Cancer Society.  Golf facilities everywhere are now in deep #@!!% trouble because WCTA, and others, fail as trade associations.  They refuse to defend golf superintendents and their facilities from golf-hating fanatжcs are taking aim AGAINST the golf industry.  WCTA is just a bunch of #@!!% bastжrds !

WCTA fails to make any correct decisions regarding pesticide policies, particularly on issues concerning RE-ENTRY INTERVALS.  It renders its policies concerning these product by stating, in essence  ―  « listen to us and do not listen to Health Canada ».  Sadly, the fanatжcal and uneducated leaders of WCTA publicly adopts the ridiculous and arbitrary guidelines of WorkSafeBC in defiance of Health Canada superior authority in these issues.  Incredibly, some WCTA leaders has shown an inclination towards an overall 24-hour RE-ENTRY INTERVAL for ALL pest control applications, in defiance of the label directions approved by Health Canada.  They are wrong !  WCTA leaders should be simply recommending to follow the label directions  ―  end of argument.  They should cease and desist with their subversive actions of needlessly burdening the turf management profession by ridiculously and arbitrarily exaggerating the interpretation of the label directions for pest control products.  Rather, WCTA should be lobbying the government of British Columbia to rescind its WorkSafeBC guidelines.  Only Health Canada has the essential expertise on RE-ENTRY INTERVALS, and NOT WorkSafeBC, and certainly NOT WCTA.  It fails as a trade association.

Otherwise, the end will be near for the golf industry !
