On April 22nd, 2009 ― another date which will live in the period of environmental infamy ― the full force of the Ontario Cosmetic Pesticides Ban Act came into effect, and DESTROYED the Professional Lawn Care Industry.
On Sunday December 7th, in 1941, Japan launched a sneak attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.
The Japanese attack left 2403 dead, destroyed 188 planes, and crippled the U.S. Pacific Fleet.

The Professional Lawn Care Industry has been SELECTIVELY and DELIBERATELY stripped of its conventional pest control tools by the Government of Ontario on the pretext that children needed to be protected by products evaluated by a small group of health care workers that has NO expertise whatsoever in matters relating to pest control products.
The massive and detailed studies of sound science performed by Health Canada are annihilated and discredited by those very same health care workers, who have decided to set their own agendas for conspiring to change public policy regarding pest control products.
LUNATIC-PROHIBITION

On April 22nd, 2009, the Government of Ontario ARBITRARILY PROHIBITED pest control products that are, in fact, HEALTH-CANADA-APPROVED, FEDERALLY-LEGAL, SCIENTIFICALLY-SAFE, PRACTICALLY-NON-TOXIC, and CAUSE NO HARM.
This NEEDLESS, SENSELESS, and MALICIOUS PROHIBITION led to the DESTRUCTION of the Modern Professional Lawn Care Industry.
An Exception Status was provided to industries like golf, sports fields, specialty turf, forestry, and agriculture.
These industries employed THE VERY SAME pest control products otherwise PROHIBITED for the Modern Professional Lawn Care Industry.
The legislation was implemented despite the fact that the PROHIBITED pest control products were still HEALTH-CANADA-APPROVED, FEDERALLY-LEGAL, SCIENTIFICALLY-SAFE and TOTALLY-IRREPLACEABLE.
Anti-Pesticide PROHIBITION ignored the federal regulatory system and dictated aesthetics to the public.
Moreover, there were serious issues with the Ontario Minister of the Environment, John Gerretsen, who was responsible for implementing PROHIBITION.
Gerretsen was INDISCREET with his CLOSE PUBLIC ASSOCIATIONS with RADICAL and SUBVERSIVE Anti-Pesticide Activists.
HORRENDOUS CARNAGE
Caused by LUNATIC-PROHIBITION in Ontario

There was a conflict-of-interest having investors, salesmen, distributors, and researchers of Green Alternatives, like Sarritor and Fiesta, serving as Directors who were responsible for making critical decisions on behalf of the Professional Lawn Care Industry.
In 2010, the Province of Nova Scotia PROHIBITED Fiesta Herbicide, and the Province of New Brunswick PROHIBITED Corn Gluten Meal Herbicide.

The Ontario Professional Lawn Care Industry lost over 500,000,000 DOLLARS.
40 to 70 per cent of Professional Lawn Care customers were ANNIHILATED, depending upon the type of company and its location.

By 2009, OVER 5,000 HAPLESS VICTIMS were UNEMPLOYED ( full time employees and summer students ).

Professional Lawn Care businesses were simply ABANDONED ― no one was able to buy or sell a Professional Lawn Care business !
Within three years after the implementation of PROHIBITION, observers expect 780 BUSINESS FAILURES or BANKRUPTCIES.

Turfgrass is also an EFFECTIVE SPONGE for rain water.
A playing surface OVER-RUN WITH WEEDS and INFESTED WITH INSECTS provides NONE of these benefits.
They are OVER-RUN by Dandelions and other weed pests, and are DESTROYED by INFESTING insect pests like European Chafer.
