If you pay attention to the news, you will notice a lot of attention being given to so-called cosmetic pesticides … for better and worse.
Recently, Manitoba has INTRODUCED LEGISLATION TO BAN THE USE OF COSMETIC PESTICIDES IN PUBLIC AREAS, BUT ALSO ON PRIVATELY OWNED LAWNS SUCH AS YOUR OWN.
This means home-owners will NOT BE ABLE TO USE SYNTHETIC PESTICIDES, and lawn care providers will not be able to either.

Another newspaper poll reported on September 25th, 2012, showed that A MAJORITY OF MANITOBANS DO NOT WANT PROHIBITION.
In Fall 2012, Professional Lawn Care businesses and clients sent to Manitoba Government Officials the results of a PETITION with 2,500 POST-CARDS OPPOSING A PROPOSED PROHIBITION, which was OVERWHELMING OPPOSITION to Anti-Pesticide Activists who had a MERE 1,000 signatures supporting PROHIBITION, with most signatures ORIGINATING FROM OUTSIDE MANITOBA.
