As biologicals, nematodes are very sensitive to certain environmental factors:
They break down in ultraviolet light
They dry out easily.
They perform best between 12°C and 30°C.
Currently, nematodes have not been widely adopted for use by the turf industry because
of their high cost and because the environmental conditions necessary to guarantee the
success of the nematode treatments rarely exist.
