There are various studies worldwide looking at the links between exposure to pesticides ,PCBs and PCPs, and cancer. Initiatives are also in place in some areas to reduce oreven eliminate pesticide use on residential and municipal lands. One good example is the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), which recently passed a city by-law.Information about HRM's pesticide by-law can be found at:
