If you look closely at the several pesticide bans that have been enacted. You will notice a trend.
ROUNDUP/GLYPHOSATE IS STILL ALLOWED TO BE USED FOR SAFETY REASONS:
The activists and even the Bogus Non Expert Doctors groups claim that there are safer and healthier alternatives to cosmetic pesticide use for lawns.
“There are many uses for pesticides and each use needs to be looked at from a risk-versus-benefit perspective,” said Dr. Robert Strang, Chief Medical Officer of Health for Nova Scotia.
“In regard to cosmetic purposes, there are safe and healthy alternative methods available to achieve the same result.”
The one problem with this theory that they promote is that there is no alternative to ROUNDUP or GLYPHOSATE that works.
Acetic Acid is a joke as is Iron FeHEDTA and Soaps of Fatty Acids, Corn Glutem Meal, Sarritor.
When you realize that the same products that the Environmentalists are promoting can not even be substituted to combat basic weed and insect problems you will see the big gaping hole in their Anti-Pesticide Campaign.
Vinegar (Acetic Acid) or Finalsan (Soaps of Fatty Acids) are not a substitute for ROUNDUP. Yet that is what the Environmenatalists want you to believe.
When legally taking a pesticide product off the shelf when its determined a replacement with safer value and equal efficacy is available, one should have taken into consideration the lack of efficacy and quite possibly the lack of human and environmental safety of a replacement chemical like Acetic Acid or Soaps of Fatty Acids, (Fiesta FeHEDTA, Sarritor, Corn Gluten, Beet Juice Extract, Neem Oil) .
The person or group of persons making this decision should be held accountalbe in a court of law for taking such credulous action here in Ontario.
Why apply products to the environment that only work 20% -50% of the time?
The USA has recently Registered a product called MIDAS in California and soon Arizona (Methyl Iodide). This product is listed as a cancer causing substance in Proposition 65 (September 11, 2009)
WHY WOULD THEY REGISTER METHYL IODIDE ??? BECAUSE ITS A PRODUCT THAT WORKS

Ask yourself a simple question. Where are all the ORGANIC SOD FARMS????
There are none. They all use 2,4-D and Roundup. So do the the Farmers that grow our food.
2,4-D is safe to use on lawns and is 80-100% effective with tiny amount of actual product Active Ingredient being used.
