Farmers Forum made more than 20 phone calls and found a LONE Pest Advisor MOTIVATED to do the Neonicotinoid Pest Assessments.
Only Lancaster’s Munro Agromart, in South Glengarry, was MOTIVATED to do Assessments.
Most Pest Advisors are UNMOTIVATED to do Pest Assessments that would circumvent prohibition, and help the Agriculture Industry.

PROHIBITION was brought in as a result of [ supposedly ] high number of bee deaths over the 2015-16 winter even though studies have been far from conclusive on whether Neonicotinoid Insecticides cause bee deaths, argues the Grain Farmers of Ontario [ GFO ], saying the decision was political to appease environmentalists.
Almost all of the corn seeds in Ontario and 60 per cent of soybean seeds are treated with Neonicotinoid Insecticides.

For corn growers, DuPont Pioneer’s Lumivia and Syngenta’s Fortenza [ see links below ] would probably be cheaper than getting Assessments.
These INFERIOR conventional alternatives are NOT AS EFFECTIVE as Neonicotinoid Insecticides when it comes to controlling aphids and bean leaf beetle, says Mr Denys.
There are no other options for soybean growers, but Syngenta and DuPont could have registrations for alternatives in time for the 2018 spring planting, although it is more likely they will not be available until 2019.

SUMMARY
On April 22nd, 2009 ― a date which will live in the period of environmental infamy ― the full force of the Ontario Cosmetic Pesticides Ban Act was imposed by Ontario’s Liberal government, which DESTROYED the Professional Lawn Care Industry.
Because of the 2009 prohibition, the Professional Lawn Care Industry lost over 500,000,000 dollars, with over 12,500 unemployed.
Moreover, because of its reckless and arbitrary prohibition, Ontario’s public and private greens spaces have become weed-infested and insect-destroyed GARBAGE DUMPS that are dangerous for children to play on.
Ontario’s parks, sports fields, and home lawns, have become wholly INFESTED with dandelions and a variety of other weeds, and there is no practical way to remove them, other than by hand-pulling or by replacing the entire lawn with sod.
On November 25th, 2014, Ontario’s Liberal government officials proposed a reckless province-wide prohibition against Neonicotinoid Insecticides desperately-needed by the Agriculture Industry.
Ontario’s Liberals have⁄are validated the proposed prohibition by falsely-alleging that Neonicotinoid Insecticides are the cause of so-called bee colony collapse disorder ― in fact, bee losses occur because some bee-keepers are incompetent and may be wholly unsuited to be raising bees.
In 2014, nearly 100 per cent of corn seed and 60 per cent of soybean seed sold in Ontario was treated with Neonicotinoid Insecticides.
However, in early 2014, Ontario’s prohibition conspiracy was contradicted by Premier Kathleen Wynne ― there is NO bee crisis according to Premier Wynne, who had stated that many bee-keeping operations had NOT been affected and had been able to maintain strong and healthy bee colonies, as evidenced by hive strength and honey production. http://wp.me/p1jq40-7Mw
