Thanks for this vital article on neonicotinoid pesticides. Perhaps the most important comment from Dr. Bonmatin — one of the authors of the study you cite — is this: “Far from protecting food production the use of neonics is threatening the very infrastructure which enables it.”

Jean Cottam I am told Canadian bees are adversely affected as well even where no herbicides are sprayed. The poison comes from buying seed in stores with headquarters in the United States.
