A Friends of the Earth poll has found there is significant concern about the use of bee killing pesticides.
The poll has found nearly 94 percent of people in the Niagara/Hamilton area think gardenders should be able to buy plants free of neonic pesticides.
77 percent also are concerned the use of the pesticides are contaminating our soil and ground water.
Hamilton city councillor Sam Merulla has proposed a city wide ban on the pesticide believed responsible for killing large numbers of Honeybees.
