Coquitlam Coun. Selina Robinson calls the province's new legislation on cosmetic pesticides "wimpy."
"I am very disappointed with this tabled legislation," said Robinson, the Coquitlam-Maillardville BC NDP candidate, in a press release issued Wednesday. "What we have presented before us is status quo . no significant changes that would protect us, our children and our pets from pesticide exposure."
The proposed regulations would require anyone using pesticides on their lawn to hire someone with a licence, such as a lawn care company.
