Ontario Golf Club Mandatory yearly pesticide meeting

As per Ontario regulations, the Bonnie Doon Golf Club will be holding a public meeting to present its annual report for the use of pesticides.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 21, beginning at 10 a.m. at the main clubhouse, located at 4195 Aberarder Line. For more information, contact Shawn Hartle, Golf Course Superintendent at 519-899-2711.

Golf courses in fact make up only 1.5% of total pesticide use in the province. Ironically they took the most responsible user's of pest control products (Golf Superintendents), and put a stranglehold of restrictions on them and their employers, by forcing through the fraud known as the IPM Accreditation program. This program costs each club thousands of dollars annually on an industry already struggling to stay a float during a depression. Well done.
