Nancy Falconer is a truth-challenged non-expert anti-pesticide lobbyist who is paid-for-profit to concoct imaginary dangers for Canadian Cancer Society.
Both Falconer and her organization would like to IMPOSE PROHIBITION against pest control products used in the Urban Landscape.
Not surprisingly, neither Falconer, nor any of her co-conspirators, has ANY recognized background, training, or experience in matters concerning pest control products.
Are we to believe that an assessment on pest control products from Falconer is somehow worth more than Health Canada ?!?!

Cancer ?!?!
According to Falconer ―
The Canadian Cancer Society is very concerned about the growing body of evidence suggesting pesticides may increase the risk of several types of CANCERS. [ ?!?! ]
Falconer is WRONG !
It is COMMON KNOWLEDGE that there are NO pest control products that are known or probable carcinogens.
It is a MYTH to believe that pest control products somehow cause cancer.
Environmental Protection Agency's ( EPA ) and Health Canada’s EXTENSIVE TOXICOLOGY DATABASES INDISPUTABLY PROVE that pest control products are SCIENTIFICALLY SAFE and DO NOT CAUSE CANCER !
Both EPA and Health Canada require each new pest control product to go through about TWO-HUNDRED SEPARATE TESTS to examine health and environmental impacts as well as value, and costing about 250 MILLION DOLLARS.
There are THOUSANDS OF DEATHS per year from KNOWN CANCER-CAUSING SUBSTANCES such as cigarette smoke and alcohol.
There is NOT ONE KNOWN CANCER DEATH from the proper use of pest control products used in the Urban Landscape.
Canadian Cancer Society, through its promotional literature, continues to insist there is a link between pest control products and cancer, despite the fact that its U.S. counterpart, American Cancer Society, DOES NOT SHARE THE SAME VIEWPOINT.
Health Canada, and NOT Canadian Cancer Society, has THE ESSENTIAL EXPERTISE on the subject of pest control products.
Canadian Cancer Society is RIDICULOUSLY IMPLYING that its NON-EXPERT ASSESSMENT is somehow being withheld from Health Canada and EVERY other regulatory agency in the world.
Canadian Cancer Society is a FUND-RAISING, PROFIT-SEEKING, and LOBBYING organization, and NOT a science, research, or health organization.

There is NOT ONE KNOWN CANCER DEATH from the proper use of pest control products used in the Urban Landscape.
Pest control products are STRINGENTLY TESTED and REGULATED in order to ensure that they are SCIENTIFICALLY SAFE and CAUSE NO HARM.
Even Canadian Cancer Society’s own web-site states that scientific research does NOT provide a conclusive link between pesticides and human cancer.
CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY – NO DIRECT PROOF PESTICIDES CAUSE CANCER ( Web-Page )
In 2007, the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the Pest Management Regulatory Agency of Health Canada issued a ruling that products like 2,4-D Herbicide ARE NOT CANCER-CAUSING IN HUMANS.
The World Health Organization only lists the common pest control product 2,4-D in the SAME CANCER-RISK CATEGORY AS PICKLED VEGETABLES AND CELL-PHONES.
International Agency for Research on Cancer ( IARC is part of the United Nation’s World Health Organization ) lists VERY FEW PESTICIDES as carcinogenic, or as probable or possible carcinogens, and NONE of these can be found among « cosmetic pesticides » used in the Urban Landscape.
Pest control products are SCIENTIFICALLY SAFE, and NO HARM WILL OCCUR when they are used according to label directions.

The ONTARIO COLLEGE OF FAMILY PHYSICIANS [ alleges that ] children are particularly vulnerable and shows associations between pesticides and various neurological and respiratory diseases, and reproductive problems. [ ?!?! ]
Ontario College of Family Physicians is WRONG !
Ontario College of Family Physicians ( OCFP ) and its Literature Review has been DISCREDITED, DEBUNKED, and REFUTED by Health Canada and by The Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution.
Moreover, OCFP is also a FUND-RAISING, PROFIT-SEEKING, and LOBBYING organization, and it is NOT a science, research, or health organization.
OCFP is presently UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR CHARITY FRAUD AND CONSPIRACY.
OCFP is RIDICULOUSLY IMPLYING that its NON-EXPERT ASSESSMENT is somehow being withheld from Health Canada and EVERY other regulatory agency in the world.
INDISPUTABLE and CONCLUSIVE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH shows that, as reported through Health Canada’s VAST TOXICOLOGY DATABASE, NO HARM WILL OCCUR when pest control products are used according to label directions.
The RISK ASSESSMENT of pest control products indicates that they are PRACTICALLY-NON-TOXIC.

OCFP DID NOT conduct a serious scientific study … it conducted a mere Literature Review, and could only use those references found in the OPEN PUBLIC LITERATURE.
What did OCFP use as its reference sources ?
GOOGLE and WIKIPEDIA.
In other words, the OCFP Anti-Pesticide Literature Review was conducted with a standard that was NO BETTER THAN A GRADE SCHOOL PROJECT PREPARED BY A 10-YEAR-OLD STUDENT.
The authors and reviewers of the BOGUS-OCFP-Review were not only SCIENTIFICALLY IGNORANT, they were LAZY and OBTUSE.
Moreover, among the authors and reviewers of the OCFP-Review …
● there are doctors who were found guilty of professional mis-conduct over sexual activities
● doctors whose license was suspended
● doctors who deny having reviewed the document

Green Alternative Pesticides ?!?!
According to Falconer ―
Viable ALTERNATIVES exist to chemical pesticides. [ ?!?! ]
Falconer is again WRONG !
It is IMPOSSIBLE for home-owners or professionals to keep their properties beautiful by using so-called GREEN ALTERNATIVE PESTICIDES.
There are NO viable, efficacious, economical, or low-risk alternatives to replace conventional pest control products.
In many cases, Green Alternative Pesticides are questionably HIGHER IN TOXICITY, and pose HIGHER ENVIRONMENTAL RISKS.
A well-maintained conventional lawn and landscape can ONLY BE ACHIEVED WITH CONVENTIONAL pest control products and fertilizers.
Fortunately, CONVENTIONAL pest control products are SAFE, EFFECTIVE, ECONOMICAL, and LOW-RISK.

The ONLY people who want Anti-Pesticide PROHIBITION in provinces like British Columbia are a SMALL GROUP of activists with VESTED INTERESTS defended by the IMAGINARY DANGER of pest control products.
In BRITISH COLUMBIA, the public DOES NOT WANT PESTICIDE BANS.
A recent POLL conducted by Canadian Consumer Specialty Products Association ( CCSPA ) showed that the VAST MAJORITY of residents in British Columbia are OPPOSED to the PROHIBITION of conventional pest control products, and they actually FAVOUR the continued use of these products around their homes and in public green spaces.

According to another recent Ontario poll, MORE THAN HALF of Ontario residents believe that the provincial government DID NOT DO THE RIGHT THING by implementing Anti-Pesticide PROHIBITION.
Ontario residents WOULD RATHER HAVE THE BAN SCRAPPED OR MODIFIED.

● The Anti-Pesticide PROHIBITIONS in Eastern Canada are CONTRIBUTING TO GREAT CONFUSION, and are leading to MAJOR PROBLEMS with compliance and enforcement.
● The BASIS FOR ACTION taken in Eastern Canada was CONFUSING and INCONSISTENT.
● PESTICIDE BANS ARE A FARCE. Residents are obtaining products either from other provinces, or mostly from across the border in the United States. It is NOT illegal to own or possess these products, only to apply them. The mis-use of products remains ― thanks to PROHIBITION. No jurisdiction in Eastern Canada has EVER enforced PROHIBITION by going after residents.
