Lack Of Pesticide Ban Booed

I feel safer today thanks to the work of the Province of British Columbia's parliamentary committee and their inquiry into the feasibility of a province-wide ban on the cosmetic use of pesticides.
We can thank the following elected MLAs for all their hard work on this vital health issue: Margaret MacDiarmid, Rob Fleming, Bill Bennett, Murray Coell, Scott Fraser, Douglas Horne, Barry Penner, Michael Sather, John Slater, Ben Stewart and John Yap.
In support of the ban: the highly trained people [ ?!?! ] at the David Suzuki Foundation; Canadian Cancer Society; Greenpeace; Western Canada Wilderness Committee; Sierra Club and the University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine Department of Pediatrics; the International Agency for Research on Cancer and the U.S. National Toxicology Program that found some pesticides can cause cancer; as well as the Ontario College of Family Physicians that found, “Consistent links to serious illnesses, such as cancer, reproductive problems and neurological diseases related to pesticide exposure.” [ WRONG ! ]
The committee's decision not to ban makes me think that all of those highly educated environmental and public health advocacy groups were not informed enough and probably misguided in supporting a ban on poisonous pesticides that may bioaccumulate and biomagnify in the environment and harm our children. [ WRONG ! ]

COMMENTS
Suzuki, Cancer Society, Greenpeace, etc … are all HIGHLY-TRAINED PEOPLE ?!?!?!
What planet does Todd Major live on ?
These Anti-Pesticide Organizations are FUND-RAISING, PROFIT-SEEKING, and LOBBYING organizations, and NOT a science, research, or health organizations.
These people are MERE Non-Expert Fund-Raisers who are PAID-FOR-PROFIT as SUBVERSIVE Anti-Pesticide LOBBYISTS.
They are SCIENTIFICALLY ILLITERATE and EXPRESS A MOCK-FEAR OF ALL MODERN CHEMICALS.
Unfortunately, NOT A SINGLE PERSON within these organizations has ANY recognized expertise, training or background in matters concerning pest control products.
Also, these organizations are presently UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR CHARITY FRAUD AND CONSPIRACY.
Also in favour of the ban was the CANADIAN PEDIATRIC SOCIETY ?!?!?!
That is a TOTAL FABRICATION AND A LIE !
What Todd Major DOES NOT SAY is …
Canadian Paediatric Society HAS OFFICIALLY REFUTED ANY POSITION AGAINST PESTICIDES.
Canadian Paediatric Society does not have ANY position statements on the use of pest control products.
In April 2006, a short article was published in the Journal Paediatrics & Child Health which is the journal of the Canadian Paediatric Society.
It was NOT written by Canadian Paediatric Society, and does not reflect the opinion of Canadian Paediatric Society.
Canadian Paediatric Society has stated that it SHOULD NOT BE CITED with this article.
Canadian Paediatric Society has communicated this position to Anti-Pesticide Activists.
Moreover, the authors of the article had ABSOLUTELY NO competent expertise, recognized training, or background, in matters concerning pest control products.
Their opinions were TOTALLY VALUELESS and UTTERLY WORTHLESS in matters concerning pest control products.
Moreover, the authors have NO affiliation with Canadian Paediatric Society.
Furthermore, the April 2006 article was an ASSESSMENT ( i.e. a judgement based upon Anti-Pesticide motivation ).
It was NOT the result of ANY scientific research.
Not surprisingly, the two primary authors of the April 2006 article were/are PERSONALLY ALLIED with Anti-Pesticide Organizations.
What Todd Major DOES NOT SAY is …
The April 2006 article was far from being independent and unbiased.
It was the result of Anti-Pesticide JUNK SCIENCE.
Finally, the April 2006 focused ONLY on the herbicide 2,4-D.
It DID NOT focus on ALL pest control products used by the Professional Lawn Care Industry in the Urban Landscape.
Moreover, Canadian Paediatric Society ( CPS ) DOES NOT HAVE A POSITION ON THE HEALTH RISK OF PEST CONTROL PRODUCTS.
The organization doesn’t have a position because volunteer committees, which raise policy issues, have not brought concerns about pesticides to the CPS board.
Todd Major also ALLEGES that « poisonous pesticides … may bioaccumulate and biomagnify in the environment and harm our children ».
Where does Major get this stuff ?!?!?
Why does Major say these things ?
Because he is PAID-FOR-PROFIT by Canadian Cancer Society.
Pest control products CAUSE NO HARM to people or the environment.
