I enjoy surprises just as much as most people.
Breakfast in bed, a party, or little notes that my kids leave me are wonderful to just come upon.
But sometimes it helps to be prepared for the bigger changes, so here goes.
This is my second last column for The Richmond Review. [ GOOD RIDDANCE ]
My family and I are moving to the Comox Valley to live on our farm.
It has been a dream of ours to raise our kids in a rural environment and that chance came a couple of years ago when we found our dream property.
For some of you, this is news.
I actually gave my close friends, family, and work colleagues the heads up about a year and a half ago.
We began the search for my Food Security replacement in January and found a wonderful candidate in Colin Dring.
I began stepping down from all the different volunteer boards that I sat on, the Richmond Schoolyard Society, the Sharing Farm, and the Vancouver Food Policy Council.
My last AGM is this Monday for the Garden City Lands Coalition.
And yet, with all of this preparation in advance, it doesn’t make the actual leaving any easier.
I am going to miss Richmond.
I will always be a flatlander.

Hamir Is Leaving Richmond ― Good Riddance
Arzeena Hamir’s ANTI-PESTICIDE ACTIVITIES placed her in SEVERE CONFLICT with her responsibilities at Richmond Food Security Society.
VIGOROUS COMPLAINTS about Richmond Food Security Society led to an INVESTIGATION into CONFLICTS-OF-INTEREST, as well as MISAPPROPRIATION of funds and resources.
Hamir's activities were STRONGLY QUESTIONNED since she was using Richmond Food Security Society as an ANTI-PESTICIDE Organization.
Consequently, demands were made to EXAMINE the operations of Richmond Food Security Society and its employees / volunteers.
Hamir PERSISTED in ANTI-PESTICIDE ACTIVITIES, and her services were TERMINATED at Richmond Food Security Society.
If Hamir had not been TERMINATED, Richmond Food Security Society’s CHARITY TAX-EXEMPT STATUS would have been REVOKED !
Through Richmond Food Security Society, both Hamir and Canadian Cancer Society were RIDICULOUSLY IMPLYING that their NON-EXPERT ASSESSMENT of pest control products was somehow being withheld from Health Canada and EVERY other regulatory agency in the world.
Health Canada, and NOT Arzeena Hamir and Canadian Cancer Society, has THE ESSENTIAL EXPERTISE on the subject of pest control products.
The following educational, regulatory, research, scientific, and trade agencies have SUPPORTED or VALIDATED the concept that pest control products are SCIENTIFICALLY-SAFE ● American Chemical Society ● American Council for Science and Health ● American Cancer Society ● British Columbia's Special Committee On Cosmetic Pesticides ● Canadian Medical Association ● CropLife Canada ● Health Canada ● Institute of Public Affairs ● International Agency for Research on Cancer ● Ontario Pesticides Advisory Committee ● The Fraser Institute ● U.S. Environmental Protection Agency ● World Health Organization.
INDISPUTABLE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH shows that, as reported through Health Canada’s VAST TOXICOLOGY DATABASE, NO HARM WILL OCCUR when pest control products are used according to label directions.
The RISK ASSESSMENT of pest control products indicates that they are PRACTICALLY-NON-TOXIC.
There is NOT ONE KNOWN ILLNESS or DEATH from the proper use of pest control products used in the Urban Landscape.
Even Canadian Cancer Society has STATED REPEATEDLY that scientific research does NOT provide a conclusive link between pest control products and cancer.

Hamir has HUGE VESTED INTERESTS IN PERPETUATING IMAGINARY DANGERS against genetically-modified crops and pest control products BECAUSE SHE IS PAID TO DO SO.
Hamir is the ULTIMATE WINNER since she BENEFITS from PAY-OFF PROGRAMS provided by Canadian Cancer Society.
Because of Hamir's involvement in the CONSPIRACY to PROHIBIT pest control products, British Columbia now has a MORE DANGEROUS OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENT, a BLACK MARKET IN PESTICIDES, and a TRAIL OF ECONOMIC DESTRUCTION WITH DOZENS OF SMALL BUSINESSES DESTROYED and HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE OUT OF WORK.

All Hamir statements, activities, and affiliations have been ARCHIVED for anyone wishing to lodge an OFFICIAL COMPLAINT or lay CRIMINAL CHARGES against her and her co-conspirators.
We know who she is, and where she is hiding, and what she has said and done.
Let Hamir FEEL THE TERROR OF THE COURTS and THE SPOTLIGHT OF SCRUTINY.
Let her ROAST IN HELL wherever she goes !
