The Kyoto Protocol is a protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, aimed at fighting so-called Global Warming.
The Protocol was initially adopted on December 11th, 1997 in Kyoto, Japan, and entered into force on February 16th, 2005.
The Kyoto Protocol is an international environmental treaty with the ridiculous goal of achieving the « stabilization of greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere at a level that would prevent dangerous anthropogenic interference with the climate system ».
The issue of so-called Global Warming provided VAST AMOUNTS OF PROFIT to Enviro-Terrorist-Organizations like Greenpeace and David Suzuki Foundation.
As of September 2011, 191 states had signed and ratified the protocol, and the only remaining signatory not to have ratified the protocol was the United States.
In 2010, Canada, Japan and Russia stated that they would not take on further Kyoto targets.

Canada was committed to cutting its greenhouse emissions to 6 per cent below 1990 levels by 2012, but in 2009 emissions were 17 per cent higher than in 1990.
Environment Minister Peter Kent cited Canada’s liability to « enormous financial penalties » under the treaty unless it withdrew.
