When it comes to PESTICIDE BANS, Township of Langley can learn a lot from the experience of those jurisdictions that have SUFFERED THE HARDSHIP AND COST OF THIS #@!!% NONSENSE !
And there is little debate about the fact that BANS convert communities into SHABBIER AND WEED-INFESTED GARBAGE DUMPS.
CATACLYSMIC COST INCREASE OF PESTICIDE BANS
According to Non-Expert Anti-Pesticide Activist Christina Beck, the CATACLYSMIC COST INCREASE OF A PESTICIDE BAN in the District Municipality of Langley will range between 12,540 and 25,081 dollars.
Ridiculously … Beck has the estimate worked out to within 1 dollar.
Beck’s estimates are WRONG !
Beck even CONTRADICTS the ESTIMATES from her own organization.
On January 29th, 2009, Canadian Cancer Society CONSERVATIVELY ESTIMATED the CATACLYSMIC COST INCREASE OF A PESTICIDE BAN ―
The implementation cost of a pesticide-control by-law is 50 CENTS TO 1 DOLLAR PER PERSON PER YEAR, decreasing over time.
Since the District Municipality of Langley has a population of 105,000, it can be extrapolated from Canadian Cancer Society that the CATACLYSMIC COST INCREASE OF A PESTICIDE BAN WILL RANGE FROM 50,000 TO 100,000 DOLLARS PER YEAR, OR MORE.
Langley’s Municipal Officials have already estimated a COST INCREASE OF AT LEAST 60,000 DOLLARS.
Moreover, there will be NO DECREASE in the CATACLYSMIC COST OF A PESTICIDE BAN, except in cases when WEED-INFESTED and INSECT-DESTROYED Green Spaces are simply ABANDONED AS GARBAGE DUMPS, and no more money will be wasted on them.
Municipal Green Spaces will become GARBAGE DUMPS because Green Alternative Pesticides are INEFFECTIVE, INADEQUATE, HIGH-RISK, INEFFECTIVE, MORE TOXIC, and STUNNINGLY EXPENSIVE !
Municipal Green Spaces will also become GARBAGE DUMPS because Integrated Pest Management strategies are FAILURES and a WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.
Who can afford this #@!!% PESTICIDE BAN NONSENSE ?!?!
