Fiesta is a DISMAL FAILURE !
Adequate broad-leaved weed control with Fiesta Herbicide is too often only achieved with an EXORBITANT 6 TO 8 REPEAT APPLICATIONS PER SEASON, or more.

Fiesta Herbicide was registered and approved for use in 2010 as a so-called Green Alternative Pesticide, and was quickly incorporated into weed control programs ― NOT BECAUSE OF ITS EFFICACY, but because of decisions that IMPOSED UNNECCESSARY AND UNREALISTIC ANTI-PESTICIDE PROHIBITIONS which PREVENTED Municipal Employees and Lawn Care Professionals from using conventional herbicides that WERE TRULY EFFECTIVE AS WELL AS SAFE.
The CATASTROPHIC CARNAGE INFLICTED against the Professional Lawn Care Industry in Provinces like Ontario was EXTENSIVE because there were NO valid economical alternatives to replace the prohibited conventional products.
PROHIBITION was ARBITRARILY IMPOSED because products like Fiesta were somehow deemed safer than conventional herbicides like 2,4-D.
In fact, conventional herbicides, such as 2,4-D, are SAFER than Fiesta.
Because of PROHIBITION in jurisdictions like Ontario, the Professional Lawn Care Industry LOST OVER 500,000,000 DOLLARS, with UP TO 12,500 UNEMPLOYED, and ONE-BUSINESS-PER-WEEK DISAPPEARS INTO TOTAL OBLIVION.

On March 12th, 2012, the Government of Canada warned the Professional Lawn Care Industry that any person found using/promoting an unregistered iron fertilizer for weed control will be subject to compliance and enforcement measures.
On April 4th, 2012, the manufacturer of Fiesta issued the following statement ― « Some businesses are telling their customers they’re getting Fiesta, even putting up lawn signs that say Fiesta, but they’re substituting the ILLEGAL product in their sprayers, and risking FRAUD CHARGES, and a LETHAL BLOW to their reputation. »

● Fiesta is NOT safer, since BOTH Fiesta and Killex have a LOW TOXICITY, with Oral LD50 greater than 5000 mg per kg.
● For best results, people are applying this product every 2 to 3 weeks for the season and still dealing with many weeds unaffected by Fiesta.
● It appears that with the exception of Dandelions and Black Medick, that THERE IS CONSIDERABLE RE-GROWTH OF THESE WEED SPECIES, BACK TO SIMILAR LEVELS BEFORE TREATMENT.
